It was her family background which led her into that position, but not just her background. It has been her own choices too in many situations. Her only choice of survival couldn't have been begging or this, given the principles she believed in.
And I am not saying she deserves it or anything. But her choices are getting her nowhere better. This will leave her in an even worse situation. Even based on things she knows, her enemies should be both Zheng and YZJ. So, her choices rn are actually low of her since she was someone who spoke about women deserving opportunities (even when she was representing Cuis in the business. She actually needs to step up and be fair to herself first! I think she is someone who knows that Zheng will just discard her as soon as he gets bored or is pressured by his father.
I don't particularly like Cui Shijiu but her being the concubine of a concubine's son is too low for her.💀
