I doubt. There is no direct correlation. Plus he didn't get to meet DW mother directly that day bcoz she died. He just found her familiar. He was a kid then. He later got the pearl so now he knows there is some relation to the Yan family, positive or negative. He can think negatively too since Cui Ding was originally Yan Ding who betrayed. What if he misunderstands DW mother later too. Thats just my guess though.

Not necessarily. Maybe some distant relative or maybe FL's family worked for the Yan family. Afterall Yan refers to entire clan here. It was just shown that Fl father remained back to help Yan family. More will be revealed as we progress further.
