In a way yes, but at the same time everything was mutual. Shu Yi wanted to be in Shi De's company because he was scared (and tried to act all brave lol) and Shi De orchestrated this to spend more time together with Shu Yi, yes. But what makes this sweet for me and not creepy, is that Shi De never tried to make any moves on Shu Yi or advance anything, He did it all just to spend time with Shu Yi, even knowing that the best he'd probably achieve would be just being friends with Shu Yi and that somehow already made him happy. The joining beds idea and etc was all Shu Yi's idea. So yes, it was a bit conning but in a wholesome way haha
Well, it turns out Ton's brother-in-law is gay - and I'll bet his father is too.Ton's character is a bit inconsistent…
It's unfortunate that most Thai BL demonizes or play the effeminate gays for laughs and comedy. It reminds of Green in 2gether for example and there are many other examples. Of course the fujoshi don't like effeminate gays because it doesn't play with their fantasies, so these series and fujoshi novel writers cater for those fujoshi by ridiculing and demonizing them (and other women too).
Storywise this was a mess and yes, it had many toxic tropes. Even that part with Farm's ex girlfriend drugging him to try to r*pe him... wtf.
But somehow the series entertained me and I liked the Maxtul scenes when things were alright between them. This BL has also some sort of significance in Thailand because it was the first to show NC scenes between a m/m couple.
Anyways your reviews are usually hilarious and I love reading them. Keep up the good work!
Not just that, Type doesn't want anyone to know because of the parents's reputation/business so the obvious thing…
Let that sink in that Hirablue invested lots of money in this season... Where did that investment go if this season looks much cheaper and worse than season 1 which was fully independent with no sponsors or investments? Make it make sense,
Me too. The acting is much more natural and better and the chemistry too. Color Rush had a very good premise, but I didn't think the execution was that good. It wasn't terrible but it lacked something and it didn't capture me as he I thought it would.
Me breaking my fingers to not start this drama even though i am in love with it already, because i know i would…
Look, I've rewatched the episodes several times (and every time feeling the same butterflies in my stomach) because the wait is tortuous! How am I supposed to wait 6 more days for next episode?? So I totally get you haha
Signs that Shu Yi was probably already feeling some sort of attraction for Shi De before the episode 4 confession:
- The pranks: we've seen this with wangxian and other characters that pranks are a call for attention. On the soda prank he could have just hidden himself or act as if nothing happened, but he had to smirk at Shi De
- When the pool kiss happened he didn't repel Shi De right away. Yes, when a person is shocked they don't have reaction, but it almost seemed like he was lingering on the kiss for a while.
- You can't tell me Shu Yi wasn't flustered when Shi De smelled his neck after he played the piano
- On episode 3 the way his natural reaction to Shi De's "I like you, not him" was "I'm relieved then" and only after did he jump
- On episode 3 the way he looked at Shi De when he was preparing the noodles
- Yes, I know you're scared baby, but is there really a need to sleep so close to Shi De? haha
I might be forgetting something.
Edit: Some more possible signs - why did Shu Yi automatically assumed Shi De had "experience" with his friend and then with the doctor? Why did he automatically assume Shi De is gay? Also, what was he so interested in Shi De's love life for?
So the song that Shi De sang to Shu Yi in bed last episode (which is Yu's song which became part of the OST) were lyrics Shi De wrote himself to the song Shu Yi was playing on the piano on ep 1 that he overheard when he went to ask about the powder prank. Bye.
"Shi De is so shy and setting his expectations so low when in fact he has a chance on Shu Yi." Thiiiis!!!! In…
The exact same moments as you said. And I also felt that when Shi De was smelling him after the powder prank, that Shu Yi got flustered when Shi De got so close to him. I need to rewatch too (haha) but if my memory doesn't fail, I even think I saw Shu Yi swallowing dry lol And then I felt that he was too interested in who Shi De likes. I know it could be curiosity, but he looked all too curious. And when they slept together, yes I know that he wanted to join the beds because he was scared, but at the same I felt that he wanted to get closer to Shi De and then I felt he fell even more when Shi De was singing to him. And I think that if Shu Yi was that repulsed with the idea of being loved by Shi De, he would've open his eyes shocked right away when Shi De kissed his forhead, but he stayed there.
I'm also curious to why Shu Yi assumed Shi De was gay right away. Why did he automatically think that Shi De and the doctor being close meant they were romantically close?
As I said I could be overthinking and being delulu, but the moments you said plus some of Shu Yi's reactions in some of other moments made me feel there was already something there, even if subtle.
Episode 4 was damn good!:D I had to keep pausing during/in between scenes throughout this entire episode to prepare…
I watched it during my lunch break at work and couldn't finish it all. You have no idea the effort I made to not giggle like an idiot at some of the scenes or get extremely emotional with some of the moments. It was hard to hold it together when Shi De confessed his love and the Shu Yi opened his eyes lol I got home and just finished rewatching it and still feeling all those strong emotions again haha

Call me delulu, but I feel that there are some subtle hints since episode 2 that Shu Yi might have felt some sort of attraction for Shi De already, but not knowing what it was. But I might be looking too much into it. I've rewatched the episodes an unhealthy amount of times and sometimes I almost swear Shu Yi gets flustered when Shi De gets so physically close to him lol
