On We Best Love: No. 1 For You Jan 17, 2021
If you know me from the itsay comment section, I tend to overthink haha so based on the trailers and synopses I think the story will go like this:

1st season: Shu Yi will fall in love with Shi De. But I think he won't accept he loves a man at first. Also something will happen that will make Shi De give up and pretend like he doesn't love Shi De after all. Hints: Shu Yi crying and screaming "do you love me??" and Shi De saying "I'm sorry if I made you misunderstand something" in the trailer. Also at the end of the trailer we hear Shu Yi talking about becoming Shi De's world. I think Shi De might move to America with his mom.

2nd season: 5 years later and they meet again and now more mature they will communicate properly and get together (the cast has talked about communication a lot on interviews plus the synopsis of s2.

Also in the game of love Shi De is Mr second. Because as Shu Yi says the one who falls in love first loses. So I think this might also mean some sort of role reversal. I think that Shi De will close up and Shu Yi will fight for Shi De this time... "Fighting Mr. 2nd".

But in the end theyll end up together because they've grown and learnt with the mistakes of 5 years earlier.

This series is amazing. I think that the story in this series so far is not very original (and that's ok), but…
Same. I've been disappointed so many times. And I haven't watched a season 2 of a BL that hasn't disappointed me, even for shows I was a big fan of the 1st seasons. And yes, 2gether, color rush, why r u, lbc 2, ttts s2.... lets just not create expectations lol

Yes it happened in sotus s2 and in tharntype, I had forgetten. But in those 2 the execution was bad, specially in tharntype in which was so terrible that I had to drop the show 5 episodes in. Maybe I should reformulate: it's rare seeing it well executed. I have higher hopes for this series because s2 was already planned and written from the beginning while in ttts and sotus the second seasons werent planned and were made thanks to the success of the 1st. I hope I'm not disappointed!

Me too. But I feel that season 2 will end well and since it will premiere in march people will be hopeful and watch.

I agree. Execution is very important. I also don't feel that Color Rush is "there" for me. It's an interesting concept and it's not bad but still not "it".

And yes, Trapped wasn't perfect as the plot had some issues and the editing also didn't help. However the chemistry of the 4 leads made it one of my favorites too.

Also, I've read more about this series and season 2 will take place during their adult life. Such transition is not that common in BL, so I'm looking very forward to it. When there is chemistry, good acting, magic, effort and good camera work, editing and technical details in a cohesive script, it doesn't really matter if the story is "original" or not.

Title To My Star
It is the same company so it just might be like a crossover like in Mr.Heart
I don't think it was a cross over but one of the actors from WYEL had a cameo in Mr Heart. The part when they were commemorating the marathon win with the rest of the university team.

I like this, but the beginning was a bit ridiculous. If someone jumps fully clothed into a pool to save you and…
Somehow I love how Shu Yi is so dummy and clueless. It makes it for comedic effect and makes him even more adorable (specially then on episode 3 when he shows his dumbness again) haha

I seriously think this is extremely underrated…Not many BL fans around me are watching this or talking about…
This series is amazing. I think that the story in this series so far is not very original (and that's ok), but the way it's executed is perfect. The acting is natural and good, I love the OST, the dialogues, the camera work everything is cohesive and coherent and it has been one of my "serotonin series" lately. I?m loving it a lot. Taiwan usually doesn't disappoint when it comes to BL. The writer also wrote Trapped which is one of my favorites.

I like some Thai BL though (I Told Sunset About You is one of the best I've watched), but yes, I barely have any mutuals on twitter that are watching this series. I hope that it eventually becomes more popular or that it's being a success in Taiwan.

I knew already we were going to have a part 2 that premieres in March, my question is, do they end up together…
That actual sounds very interesting and real. Most times first love doesn't work and people need to learn and grow to then be able to have an healthy relationship. I'm actually very curious about their character development and growing from their past mistakes.

This makes me so sad, so I'll see there will be big angst as 5 years is a long time! Maybe the 5 year separation could also be because Shi De ends up going to America with his mother like it was planned, after the misunderstanding. Do they end up together in the end?

OMG! The updated the description for the sequel: The sequel to "No. 1 For You" takes place five years after Zhou…
I knew already we were going to have a part 2 that premieres in March, my question is, do they end up together at the end of part 1 and then have been together for 5 years when part 2 begins or do they end up separated and only get together 5 years after??

Does Shu Yi speak Japanese the whole time? I thought he also spoke some Chinese. (I don't know any of the languages,…
Thanks! Though I don't know Chinese nor Japanese, I find his way of speaking so cute. It's music to my ears.

I loved this episode so much! The backstory was so cute. Zhow Shu Yi is really the most clueless idiot! It's so…
Yes I agree. And MDL has the poster for s2 with them on center of the pic but I don't know if that's an official poster.

Okay guys if you have watched ep 10 you might understand how I feel...angry, sad, frustrated etc...all kinds of…
Also in what ways does helping Fiat and Leo getting together (through a kidnapping?) really help with the trust issues their relationship is facing? Why would it make it easier for Tharn to trust Type after the way Type reacted after the misunderstanding?

"Honey, I just kidnapped Fiat (and once again plotted something behind your back like I did 7 years ago) and forced him and Leo to be together at last, you have nothing to worry about. Lets get back together"

"Sure Type, now all our issues are gone and we can finally marry, right?" (pops up a ring and proposes to Type)

Please, Mame is out of her mind.

I loved this episode so much! The backstory was so cute. Zhow Shu Yi is really the most clueless idiot! It's so…
Who is the third couple? I know we have the main one and then then Shi De's and Shu Yi's 2 friends. Is the third the doctor and someone else or the straight couple? And you're right, the time jump won't allow to develop the other couples. It would only make sense if the focus was always the main couple like it has been until now. Unless the time jump only happens in the end of season 2 and until then get drama between the main couple and a time jump and reunion with happy ending at the final episode or episodes of season 2. The final credits and the music video for the intro song have some scenes we haven't seen yet that indicate some kind of angst that will happen, but I have no idea what it could be. The wait is killing me haha

Yes I think Trapped suffered a bit with the editing and it didn't flow as smooth as this, though the story was good and original and the chemistry of the couples was great. So far on this one everything is smooth and cohesive.

Can you elaborate on what's off?? If something important is getting lost in translation please let us know!!!:)
I would love that either WETV gets better translators or maybe give them more time to translate or that eventually someone would fansub this series. I'm loving it anyways, but the translations can have lots of impact on the dialogues and how they come across and sometimes even changing whole meanings of scenes.

I wish there would be more series like this. Just a good story with good characters and good actors that really…
Totally agree. I think that though the script of this series might look "typical university BL" at first sight, it's so well done and I love the actors. I can really feel the chemistry, the butterflies and the cuteness and appreciate the little quircks of the characters. Nothing is over the top, just natural. It's simple and effective. Taiwan has really brought some of my favorites: this series. HIStory 3 Trapped and Your Name Engraved Herein. Regardless of the style of BL, they usually go all in to give us a good final product.
