Here's my opinion (I'm from the United States of America): Japan pulled us into WW11 with no provocation, with a sneak attack on our Pearl Harbor, where all eight battleships anchored in Pearl Harbor were either sunk or damaged, and five battleships and three other ships being sunk or beached; 188 of the 402 U.S. aircraft were destroyed or heavily damaged; and nearby military airfields were hit to prevent American planes from launching a defense. And, more importantly, over 2,335 Americans died in the early morning surprise attack. However, since then (this was 80 years ago and most of us weren't even born), our United States has come to terms with this, that this DID happen, but it was OVER decades ago and those who are here now don't have any reason to fight Japan or it's people. Are we really going to hold grudges about what our ANCESTORS did? Besides, Fukushi Sota was talking about the families of those who died in the war. Do we really hold the Japanese PEOPLE accountable for what their military did? There is a wonderful hymn we sing in America "Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with ME". I don't want to hate others because of what their fathers, grandfathers, etc., did 80 years ago, though we sure could. Let's let this hatred, this grudge, go and bring peace to our world. Fukushi Sota is a young actor not ever involved in the war. Why should his career suffer because of what they did 80 years ago? This is just my opinion. Thanks for reading.

I loved the dramas: "Flipped", "My Secret Romance", "Noble My Love" and, of course, Love O2O. I just wanted to add one drama that always makes me smile "Love Is Sweet" from 2020. It stars Luo Yun Xi as the ML and Bai Lu as the FL. The cool thing is that Gao Han Yu plays the 2nd ML and is FANTASTIC! It has 36 episodes and is mainly just fun to watch. Another one that I watch over and over is "My Little Happiness" from 2021 starring Xing Fei as FL Cong Rong and Tang Xiao Tian (Daddi Tang) as ML Wen Shao Qing. It has 28 delightful episodes, any drama is solved quickly and the main leads chemistry is through the roof. Get ready to laugh at these two gems. :)
On The Manipulated Oct 16, 2025
I THOUGHT I recognized the "villain" in the drama "Manipulated" - Doh Kyung Soo! I love when the villain is played like this character, and D.O. is played MAGNIFICIENTLY in the trailer. Just as the villain is in Ji Chang Wook's drama "Suspicious Partner", played brilliantly by the fantastic Dong Ha. Speaking of which I loved Wookie in Healer & K2, and this is an even better role for him! Of course, his role in my favorite Suspicious Partner was fantastic, too. Well worth watching - I even bought the DVD! Thanks for reading.
On They Kiss Again Oct 6, 2024
What I LOVED about "They Kiss Again" is the depth and growth of the characters, especially Zhi Shu and Xiang Qin. The story continues from their teenage years (in "It Started With A Kiss) to their married years & career paths. Both the ML and the FL grow and mature, through trials & difficulties as well as very romantic times as well. They learn how to communicate, how to express their feelings & deal with trying situations to become a really good married couple able to handle anything because they're together. This is my very favorite version/adaptation of "Itazura Na Kiss" as (in both seasons 1 and 2) it goes beyond the other versions and truly shows the characters as complex people while keeping the comedy and the charm of the manga itself. I honestly rewatch both of these dramas many, many times - whenever I need a pick-me-up or to just smile & laugh. Thanks for reading.

I think Falling Into Your Smile can be counted as they had really good chemistry and didn't have any useless misunderstanding?
I would've liked Falling Into Your Smile with another actress playing the lead. Cheng Xiao as Tong Yao, in my opinion, just pouted& complained too much, never seemed to smile at Lu Si Cheng (played terrifically by Xu Kai), and spent most of her time worrying about her social media impact instead of her relationship. I also felt no chemistry between the leads. It's a shame, because the rest of the cast is terrific.

I’m a working mom and still like it perfectly. I think teenagers might find it boring since it is quite a realistic…
Totally agree, @moonypiglet! I'm married 40 years (41 in September of 2024) and there have definitely been times where the "love" of the beginning is totally non-existent. We've had fights and each has researched getting separate apartments. This is called life and it takes work for two different people to live a life together. The FEELING of love is God's way of getting us together, IMHO. But its the commitment, dedication to that commitment, and trust that really hold a relationship together. Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE a rom-com where the couple truly feel that love for each other. But the true test of a relationship is tackling the trials, circumstances and challenges while maintaining that relationship that's true love. Again, IMHO. Thanks for reading. :)

According to all of the comments, there are no love triangles, no break ups, no mean exes or family.

- Love Triangle?- When do the main leads get together?- Break up?- Happy Ending?
Female lead, Nanase Sakura, "leaves" Dr. Tendo due to a false lawsuit brought on by a patient who liked Nanase and was jealous that she & Dr. Tendo were together. He was a big donor to the hospital and was able to get Nanase for his "exclusive personal nurse". The only way he'd stop the lawsuit (and allow Dr. Tendo to operate on a young patient he'd been treating) was if Nanase would leave with him. Nanase, who'd treated him with kindness & care, said she couldn't go with him but she would leave the hospital & Dr. Tendo. She'd gone back home, but this didn't last for long!!!

What is the deal with this "Kisugi Sensei"?
From https://www.nhk.or.jp/lesson/english/questions/0004.htm.
"In addition to referring to school teachers by profession, SENSEI in Japanese is also used as a title of honor for people who teach something and for specialists in their own fields.
Medical doctors are included among those specialists. So, you call them SENSEI."

Cute little show, easy to binge. Touching at times, ridiculous at others. Loved the characters and their relationships.…
The first time I watched this I had a hard time with Dr. Tendo being so rude & mean. But rewatching it, I remember seeing a scene where, in discussing Dr. Tendo, two other doctors mentioned that he had changed, that he didn't smile anymore. And I understood after really listening to his speech at the convention in Osaka, that he'd had a difficult time coming to terms with the fact that patients did die, helping him deal with the death of his girlfriend, Minori. Those 5 years were very difficult for Tendo, so he totally saw Nanase as a stupid, "Baka", girl who wasn't serious about helping people, which made him angry. But she'd made an impact on him those 5 years ago when she'd gotten him to help when a woman had collapsed in the street - he said he didn't, but he DID remember her! I wish I could be like Nanase, brave & unrelenting in learning and being a better person & nurse. They DO make a good match, Nanase & Kairi! :)

I just watched the finale, and now I feel like I wanna rewatch the series :(( I MISS THEM ALREADY
I already have over and over again. To the point where I actually BOUGHT the DVD so I'll have it forever, even when Viki and Netflix, etc., stop showing it. :)

For the reasons that many picked this up because of “It Started With a Kiss” vibes, I dropped it because it…
Please give this drama a second try. Yes, it starts out as the sequel to "It Started With A Kiss" does, but it quickly shifts gears. At first, Nanase is a naive, silly, love-struck girl who has a notion to save people like "that doctor did". She didn't think about the 5 years and all that could've happened. But obviously she worked hard enough to be accepted into the nursing program and become a trainee. Did she make mistakes in the beginning, she sure did - as ALL trainee's do. And after her crush reamed her out saying "Get out before you cause anyone harm", as well as experiencing a young patient, whom she'd gotten to eat again when the doctors couldn't, died, she WAS going to quit. But it was Dr. TENDO who kept her from quitting! This was after Nanase had saved a little girl from committing suicide by jumping off of the hospital's roof. Nanase had gotten to know little Anri and was able to know that something was wrong (and where to find her) when Anri went missing, and not only got her off of the roof, but convinced Anri that she wasn't beyond hope and she hadn't caused people useless worry. Also, it was at this point that Dr. Tendo revealed that he DID remember from 5 years ago! All along, her skill with patients saved lives and gave doctors valuable insight into the patients they were operating on. She learned as she worked how to be very observant, and she took meticulous notes to help her to remember various tests, procedures, etc. Give this drama another shot and look past the exteriors to the very good people underneath. Thanks for reading.

Hospital staff should seriously consider the mental capacity of a nurse who, seconds into her first shift in the…
She is a TRAINEE - she is LEARNING. And she had been thinking of him (and how he had been so gentle with her, how he smiled at her) for all those years. But she matures, and grows more and more capable as a nurse, with each passing day. Because she's so aware of the patient's needs & personalities, Nanase was able to save a little girl from jumping off of a roof just through her intuition and knowledge of that little girl! She was able to get a young boy eating again when Dr. Tendo was ready to get him medical intervention to get him eating. Nanase started out as a "little girl in an adult nurse's uniform" but she quickly grew into that uniform and her valuable role as someone who helped the doctors by getting to know the patients more and getting her notes onto the computer. Her notebook was private, something she kept to herself, to record her observations and organize them before making them official. I so admire Nanase (and how Mone portrayed her).

The FL is immature, annoying little girly voice, and is constantly thinking/talking about the doctor while doing…
In the beginning she was like that. She was raised to be courteous with those older than her (as Tendo is). And that notebook she uses saved a boy's life when, in the operating room, Dr. Tendo couldn't understand why the boy was wheezing, thinking it was a heart problem. The head nurse, the boy's mother, didn't want Nanase in the operating room, thinking she wasn't capable to assist. But Nanase (because of that notebook) realized that the wheezing could be due to his having asthma, Dr. Tendo looked for permission from the head nurse and, when she nodded her head, called Nanase into the operating. BTW, did you SEE the family she came from? They were ALL like she is and her family was always putting her down, making fun of her. No wonder she had no self-esteem and was always apologizing. I have that same tendency (and my family is always saying to stop saying sorry!) and it's hard to beat that lack of self-worth, believe me.

I think a lot of people misunderstood dr Tendo here. He's cold and aloof not because he thinks highly of himself…
Agree 100%! Nanase Sakura starts out as a young, naive, love-struck girl but grows into a fully capable, really good nurse. I LOVE how she stands up to Tendo, even as he is so mean to her in the beginning. Of course, he was still getting through his losing Minori and having his idea of what a doctor is turned upside down. He says how his views of being a doctor have changed as he comes to grips with the fact that patients DO die, regardless of how hard a doctor may work to save them when at that conference in Osaka. And I immediately saw the similarity of the story "It Started With A Kiss" and especially with the sequel "They Kiss Again". Thanks for reading!

FL is highly unprofessional. I'm on Ep 3, and I'm hoping she gets better at her job. To be honest I'm surprised…
She absolutely gets better, especially after Dr. Tendo reams her out and says "Get out before you do any harm", and when he says "if you can't do it on me (draw blood) then you should quit." She even goes to the temple and prays that she stops thinking of Tendo and makes her focus about her nursing career. She works hard, taking notes on patients and different procedures, providing valuable insights that save a young man's life. And Tendo continues to watch her, sees her working, reads her notes on patients and slowly sees "how special she is" as he says to a patient later. Give her a chance and you'll come to like her spirit and bravery. She stood up to Dr. Tendo's meanness and cruel remarks, didn't let him drive her to quit, but buckled down and worked harder.
