They should definitively enroll the kids in a different school. This is is the second time that an unauthorized person picked up the kids. The first time was the ML's ex and now Qin Tian!
The acting from all main characters was awesome and there was a lot of chemistry between the the leads. However, I wish that they had chosen a ML that looked more mature. At times, the ML looked like a very tall gawky, skinny teenager; not really executive/CEO of a big company material. And not much of a fatherly look. The FL was perfect in her mother role and a working woman. I checked their real ages, and she is 5 years older than him.
Are these Korean drama victims so dumb? They have evidence, but instead of securing it, copying it and giving it to the police right away, they inform the criminal first. Then they wait for tomorrow or later before going to the police. Of course, the criminal tries to kill them to steal the evidence! Oh! and what can I say about those numerous scenes where the good guys are looking for evidence and and exactly at that moment, a person walks in! Like they never leave the house for longer than a minute.
There must have been at least 100 times when secret conversations were overheard in this long drama! Do those people know how to check if someone's around to hear them before discussing secrets? Once, twice or three times, I'd understand, but it was non-stop and make the characters so stupid for divulging secrets over and over... and over! And the slaps kept going and going! And the beverages thrown at each other kept going! And how many times could people simply walk into other's homes/rooms uninvited to talk to them, while having previously been told not to come, and of course, overhear a secret? And it goes on and on. Besides these stupidities, it's a great drama and a very interesting story.
The product placement of that condensed milk, several times in the drama, must have boosted up their sales! I wonder what bananas dipped in condensed milk taste like,
What were those writers thinking? The badly written scenes below are completely ridiculous and added to the drama but instead of improving it, it leaves viewers with a bitter taste. Housing building on file. There is no radio communication between fireman during the fire. It's a major fire, but there are fewer than 10 firemen dispatched. No one knows exactly how many people are in. The fire is almost over but no firefighter goes in to check all apartments to make sure every person is out. Then only ONE fireman enters again to save a person who may still be in there. Despite his training, he doesn't check his oxygen tank. Later, they are told Erhu is still there but no one bothers to ask details and he re-enters, risking his life to save someone, not knowing that it's a dog. A woman reporter worries about him then easily steals fireman's clothes and equipment and, with absolutely no training enters the building, still on fire, to save him. There is no police present. A big angry man starts arguing with the firemen, demanding compensation, because they had damaged his illegally parked car to move the fire engines to fight the fire and save people. No fireman tells him that he's wrong and that they have to right to do so when there's an emergency. No one in the crowd says anything; they just film the argument. It's the woman that informs him of what he did wrong. Then the man ATTACKS the firemen who don't fight back because they're worried about the public image . He attacks the woman too. Eventually two policemen arrive but don't arrest him. The injured fireman, still on the job, isn't taken to the hospital by ambulance, but the woman and her friend drive him there instead. And he pays the bill!
Did I miss something? Why is that village woman constantly wearing a stupid painted beauty mask? Ep 10 and we still haven't seen her without it, daytime or nighttime.
I finished the series and it was rather good after a slow start. I love the ML... but with dark hair ! Mark Prin is so so handsome with his regular dark hair. In this drama, his hair is colored in the red/orange hues and it doesn't look that good on him. His handsome face doesn't stand out.
I'm at ep 2. The FL's father just died. What happened right after is unreal. Maybe it marks the beginning of too many illogical events. I have the feeling that I'll be very frustrated when I continue watching but I can't help it! The police NEVER has contact with the deceased's family (no questions asked, no authorization for an autopsy, no information on the cause of death...). Everything was done and decided in cooperation with the company the father worked for. I find this very bizarre; the first people the police should have spoken to is the family, not his employer's company.
It doesn't make sense that the ML, who's been so devoted and strict to his company suddenly fails to show at the office/shareholder meetings too many times, fails to properly manage the company and to closely monitor what is happening until it's too late. Especially when he's spending time with his ex instead of going to work!
A man can be such an idiot when he involves so many people and friends with his marriage proposal. He should make sure that a woman is ready and will say yet first so that he doesn't look ridiculous and embarrassed when it fails. But I believe that the SFL is way too stuck on the past that happened years ago. She should have moved on long ago; it's dragging now. Her macho female/emotionally hurt/distant female isn't attractive. A proposal is something more intimate between the couple, and it doesn't have to involve a large group of people.
They're wasting too much screen time with the second ML and second FL. I've lost interest in their story long ago; besides it wasn't that interesting to begin with. They're also wasting too much time in that Kindergarten. The kids are cute and I like to see them from time to time with their parents, but all this Kindergarten stuff is not necessary to the plot.
thank god I read spoilers and saw clips. Exs who come back and won’t take no for an answer is such a shallow…
The ML should just say "No I don't love you anymore. I'm happy with my wife. Leave me alone' firmly, without hesitation. He's not responsible for his ex. It's not his responsibility to comfort the ex because she's sad. It's not his job to be with his ex because she's not feeling well and the manager should never have called him. It's not his job to find a doctor for her. How about her own family and friends? He's spending too much time with his ex and her problems; why does he have to accompany her to doctor's appointments? The fact that he moved away from his wife to speak about his ex on the phone was wrong; it seems as if he's hiding something from his wife and he doesn't want her to hear.
The mother in law is absolutely horrible! Instead of pleasing her like a queen, both the ML and the FL should move her to an isolated island. People like that are toxic. She had proof that the FL didn't cause the death of her husband all along and she kept if for more than 7 years. All this time she hated the FL and blamed her breakup for the death every single day! How could she blame the FL when her husband died in a plane crash with dozens of other victims?
I would hate to work in that huge office! It's almost empty, devoid of life and personality; almost depressing. And walking to the ML's office is like climbing a bare mountain with all these steps!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3awoGwjj1QChina puts chips on children’s school uniforms for surveillanceAs…
I actually like that system. Parents/schools are supposed to monitor their child when they're minors anyway. It would definitively cut down on truancy to some extent. This, as long as it's only for minor children!
How could the children's school allow a complete stranger who claims she's family to visit a child during school hours without the parent's knowledge and permission? So anyone can just walk in and see a child by claiming they're family? That would be completely illegal and dangerous. I'd switch schools if I were these two parents.
Any ex girlfriend/wife that is clearly told that her ex boyfriend/husband is now married should immediately stay away. Jin Chen instead goes to talk to her ex, sits very close to him, touches him and asks questions that are completely inappropriate for a married man. And then, she has the nerve to go see the grandpa to ask questions too!
I watched this in 2015 and watching again in 2023. I LOVED this drama the 1st time. I also LOVED it the 2nd time. But I see it with a different view now, 8 years later. I have to say that in the beginning episodes I actually disliked the FL. At the beginning pf the drama, the FL may not be as pretty as in the past, but she's definitively not doing anything to look attractive either. It's 100% her fault for looking bad and being looked down. She can't blame time and her genes. Her life may have become hard, but she let herself become like this and made no effort to improve. Everything she does makes her a loser; her image and attitude are a turnoff. She's wearing plain and ugly clothes with no sense of fashion or color. She could fix her messy hair by using gel, hair spray and some hair pins and try to straighten her hair a little. She could wear a tiny bit of of foundation or powder to cover up her red cheeks, specially going to work. Stop these brusque, awards movements, gesticulating, stop being unnecessarily loud. Her gestures and mannerisms are ridiculous and do not belong in a professional office. Constantly shaking her head to apologize while throwing her hair almost into people's faces is disgusting. Think ahead so that she doesn't look mentally deranged with questionable actions such as when she's asking the manager to be transferred in a different department or hiding under the desk. And finally, instead of being always late, she should plan to be on time so she won't have to constantly run, rush , bump into obstacles and get knocked down by accident. Look where she's stepping and around her so that she won't knock things or break things. Taking time to calm and relax, be professional with an upright posture, looking in front and planning well would avoid most of these ridiculous 'accidents' happening to her. That's what actually happens to her as she changes in later episodes. She becomes prettier, and then, towards the end, even with her curly hair again, she takes care of herself and looks pretty .
I'm a few minute into ep 1 and it's already nonsense. I'll continue a little bit but it seems that the drama is…
And, minutes later, we have the usual drinking too much and getting drunk in a bar scene. A new employee just encountered a problem and the best way to deal with it is getting drunk in front of your work colleagues and your bosses. I'M DONE WITH THIS STUPID DRAMA! Couldn't even finish the 1st episode.
