I love the character of Shuren. She's so cute, and it's funny how she can bribed and convinced with food! She's always ready to eat.

It's funny how in these historic Chinese dramas, a doctor can find out everything about illnesses just by taking the pulse of a person through a cloth! Taking a pulse tells the physician what's wrong with the patient right away! No questions asked first, no examination of the body.

Why are the servants and officials allowed to enter the room of the emperor and his wife anytime they want? Sometimes, the couple is privately talking and a servant just barges in or walks towards them. They have no privacy. At times, the emperor specifically asked that no one should disturb him but a concubine barges in anyway. And no one is punished?
I find this very weird. Shouldn't the requests of the ruler be absolute?
And there are never guards at the front door. So anyone can open the door and peek inside to spy on them. That is outrageous to the emperor and his wife.

Yodthian is driving me crazy because she's so stupid. We're at ep 20/24 now. She and the ML are in love but she meets Nithan the bad guy in a bar. Then the ML asks her if anything happened and she replies No, nothing! He tells her he saw her. Well, she replies, she didn't want him to worry. Come on, at this point, you'd think that she learned her lesson and would be honest and not hide anything. Well no. Still an idiot. Then she goes to stay with her sister who already hurt her because she's alone! And she asks he ML to marry her sister because it will make her sister happy! I believe that even at the end, I will still very much dislike Yodthian for her weakness and stupidity. It's because of stupid people like Yodthian who don't think before they act that the villains can thrive.

Ah ep 8 finally shows the true side of Thirakit! And it seems like the aunt has some plans on taking over Wenika's company and knows about her nephew's numerous women all too well.
I thought that Wenika was unprofessionally dressed earlier but in this ep 8 she was worse! Yelling at her husband about his affairs in front of all the employees instead or privately is so immature. Her reactions after finding the truth about her husband only affirm how weak and stupid she is.
Then again, she was already stupid before when she refused to listen to her friends, didn't think much about the investment that she wanted so badly and the financial consequences.
I'm hoping she'll somehow change and overcome these problems to win and learn a lifelong lesson.

I agree with you. I also don't like the way she dresses either. I don't think that it's very professional to wear clothes showing her belly, sometimes all bare up to her breasts while she's at work or conducting work activities and meetings. Most of her clothes are like that.

They are about to marry and yet, I don't feel the love between them. The FL seems in love but unsure. Thirakit does not look in love at all; it's all bland smiles. Where is the attraction? The strong emotions? I don't see a good end for this couple at this time.
Banthai, on the other hand, is in love with the FL and it really shows. He expresses his emotions for her and is yearning to be with her.

Rather interesting series.
But when are they going to learn that it's best to talk out in the open with no one around them when they're sharing secrets, or whisper... They are continuously talking loud and others hiding behind doors and corners are hearing their secrets time after time!
I laughed when they were out in the open once, no one around, and the FL tells the ML that it's not the place to talk. So they go in a room where there could be people hiding close by to hear them instead!

Lakorn logic: you are a spy and get a top secret sheet of paper containing only a few names in a very large noticeable envelope then you carry the envelope in your hands right in front of the villain in the hallway of a building you're not supposed to be in. What do you think is going to happen ? Or course the villain will see it, be suspicious and want it! You'd think that the paper would be tiny and well hidden and/or given in secret, or sent in a secret message on the phone! What idiots those good guys are!

I felt sad for On Ha Joon too. He was so cute and handsome but a VERY bad villain! Some of these good looking villains in K.dramas are so lovable because of their looks and charisma. I have this love/hate feelings for them.

How stupid can a FL be to hand out lots of money in cash only to a woman she barely knows because the woman convinced her she's a manager of an agency that will help her get to a famous culinary school in France (the FL never visited this agency)!
The FL never received any communication from the French school or checked that she's registered, never received any paperwork, nor her plane ticket, nor the contact for the place in France she's supposed to live.
And she just kept giving more and more cash! At the end, she finally found out that she was defrauded. Serves her right for being dumb, even if she's the FL!
It seems like this happens a lot in Asian dramas.

That mother is a good actress, but in her role, she's a bad mother after all. She's uneducated but acts high and mighty and she's dishonest. She cheated about getting the new apartment and lost a lot of money as a consequence. She lost her old apartment after she borrowed money by signing a contract she didn't even understand. She had the audacity to send an email on her daughter's computer without her permission to decline her job offer. She entered a hotel illegally, lied to get a job and when caught, she has the nerve to demand money from the security guard who caught her! Then tried to get him in trouble using fraud. She then blackmails him when she finds his secret obtained in a fraudulent manner. She wants sympathy because she's raising her daughter as a poor single mother, but she's giving her daughter bad examples.

Bua was a medical student, not too good. but at least a 2nd/3rd year. It's weird that she isn't displaying much doctoral skills in the past period. Sure, she talks about medical advances but doesn't act; very lame.

There was the fireworks explosion after which she didn't rush to save people but spent time tracking her friends and talking before she tentatively began to help other doctors, under their supervision. Mostly bandaging!
Then there was the drowning victim that she didn't rush to save at first but spent time looking at him and talking first, like expecting others to help. Yet, she knew that CPR could save that person and that ancient doctors didn't know how to do it. So what was she waiting for? A real doctor would be rushing to administer CPR immediately!

Even though Bua is unfamiliar with plants... there's a least a few modern medical techniques that she could have used here and there. Not all medical help is about which medicine/plant can be used to treat the patient.

At ep 18, Thian sees her sister attempting to kill Nghampit for the SECOND time. But she still protects her sister and doesn't report her to the police. By shielding her sister like this, she is a criminal too. She is really getting on my nerves and I dislike her character very much.
They try to portray her as a good person but she is not. People like this, who pretend to be good but are not, should be arrested along with the criminals. In addition, she is a complete moron; she keeps meeting Nithan who tried to rape her and now threatens to kill her and has a gun (sometimes privately!). When he ML says that he'll stay with her for the night to assure her safety, she tells him to leave because she can protect herself. Yeah right... imagine she's in the shower and Nithan breaks into her home; it will take seconds for him to kill her and escape, all the while the alarm system is on.
I see in the preview of ep 19 that Nithan wants to harm her and she has a gun. She would be totally in the right to shoot him, and she knows he's s killer, but she shoots away from him instead! I imagine that he'll lounge at her; but that's to be seen next week.
I can't believe that Nopparuj might end up with a person like Thian. Nopparuj deserves better than a completely stupid wife. I like his longtime family friend (who wants to marry him) much better than Thian. She may not be the best, but she's a lot better than Thian.

The actress looks and dresses like she's 15-16 years old teen. Impossible o believe that a girl looking like this would be the highest executive in a major company, even if it belongs to her father. Clients wouldn't even take her seriously; she looks like she belongs in high school.

Unfortunately, there's so much real corruption in Korea that bad guys who are rich/famous/high ranked are not punished, or not punished enough. Plus, a lot of the customers who raped these girls were the rich/famous and high ranking officials. They're all friends and don't punish each other. Just a tiny punishment to appease the public when it's exposed. Then they go back to being friends and looking for more opportunities to commit crimes again.
Even when they have a heavy sentence, the rich pretend they're sick, well behaved in jail and their high paid lawyers get them out of jail. And while they are going to court, a lot of criminals suddenly pretend they're sick and the older ones need a wheelchair to attend trial. That to get sympathy. It's all a show. What we see in some crime dramas, where an old criminal is caught and wheeled in court while he was healthy the day before, is all too real.

I agree with you. That's the really annoying part. Thian is supposed to be an educated doctor but allows her sister to mistreat her and constantly makes excuses for her and protects her. Valai shows visible signs that she's s psycho, even to us non-doctors. Her sister Valai wouldn't hesitate to kill her; yet she loves her. That's crazy!

As season 2 began, I read somewhere that the team will gain another member in season 2. I thought that it would be Ha Joon, but it turns out Ha Joon is a bad guy. Then I thought maybe Ha Joon was actually helping them and pretending to be bad. It turns out Ha Joon IS bad. So who's the additional team member?

I LOVE this series! I wonder how the team will win this time and I hope that none gets hurt.
This Black Sun organization is way too big for them to handle. The team has only 5 people against dozens in the organization, plus too many of them unknown and hidden, and at least 3 corrupted police guys. Also, all the good guys have been seen by members of the organization at least once so it's difficult for them to disguise, infiltrate and hide in that closed off building filled with surveillance. The bad guys are too numerous, they have lots of weapons and lots of drugs that they use to their advantage.

Another drama with another girl getting too drunk and passing out; picked up by an unknown man, waking up in a strange bed and her first words to the man are I'm going to sue you! Glorifying this behavior in women is bad in dramas. It's not cute and not funny at all. It's dangerous to women and disgusting to see women like this. It doesn't lead to a love story but to problems and danger.
