Great actors (especially Chen Xing Xu who plays 4 characters), 2 sweet and emotional romances, well writed story, directing without downtime or lenght, great CGI, great OST!!

Super cast pour ce drama 1/3 action - 2/3 humour & romance.

Contrairement à ce que l'on pourrait penser, ce n'est pas du tout un gender-drama (la FL est strong et intelligente, mais assume le fait d'être une femme et se bat pour l'égalité des genres).
C'est l'histoire de la 1e étudiante à l'académie impériale à une époque où les femmes restaient confinées à la maison, agrémentée d'une très jolie (et solide) romance avec le Vice-principal, compliquée par 2 love ▲ et beaucoup de complots, trafics, corruption.

Cette story est mise en vie par un très bon CL (Xu Kai Cheng, Zhao Lu Si), couple étonnamment convaincant avec 1 réelle chemistry. Ce sont bien sûr 2 acteurs reconnus, mais ils excellent dans leurs personnages. Les autres acteurs sont également talentueux, particulièrement Ao Rui Peng et Ren Hao, qui crèvent l'écran.

C'est une série assez légère (le ton est clairement à la comédie), mais drôle et dynamique. On ne s'ennuie pas à un instant, tout au long des 30 épisodes.

A gem, don' t miss it !!

I'm not a big fan of nationalist or 1920s-1930s dramas. Also I only started watching for Ou Lao and Seven (2 actors I like in all of their works).

And I haven't regretted it!

I never do great analysis or very detailed commentary, so I'll keep it simple.
It is a fresco of thrilling adventure, well conducted, coherent, with a formidable cast.

1/ the cast:
I have already mentioned the 2 leads who bring this adventure to life with their usual talent. I just regret that their romance is so occasional on the screen. Their chemistry is obvious and OTPs are far too rare.
The secondary characters are well developed, with their objectives, their complexity, their paradoxes.

2/ The story:
I don't know enough about the history of China to judge the authenticity of the context, but the whole seems realistic.
Of course, the viewer is entitled to the refrain "everything for the people, priority to the nation, duty above all" but there is no escaping it in Chinese dramas and it is consistent with the context.
The narration is fast, the clues are given finely during the storyline. In short, the screenwriter and the director did an excellent job.
The action scenes are plentiful and extremely well done.

3/ OSTs:
There too, carefully chosen and adapted to the context, despite a few bugs (waltz tune when the dancers are visibly dancing to another rhythm, for example). I appreciated the opening and ending credits, lyrical, adapted to this great fresco of adventure.

I will definitely rewatch this drama (which is quite rare, for me) because I was glued to my screen for 3 days/nights, which gives the measure of its quality.

So, if you have a few days avalaible (because you're going to be hooked), don't miss this jewel, which won't disappoint you!

Excellent drama qui retrace le parcours d d'une classe d'université dans une section technologique, ce qui est rarement évoqué. Il traite aussi des discriminations fille-garçon dans les filières masculines. Les acteurs sont géniaux et donnent vie à cette histoire assez bien ficelée.

Plusieurs romances dans ce drama :
- le CL (fils riche et très smart + fille dégourdie avec traumas d'un chauffeur de taxi) est très mignon. Les malentendus ne durent pas trop longtemps malgré les 2 "great villains" (la belle-mère et la meilleure amie jalouse).
- Plusieurs romances secondaires attachantes, particulièrement le caïd et la fille-garçon manqué.

Il y a quelques longueurs par moments, mais aussi de l'humour, du rythme, des émotions,...

Les valeurs mises en avant sont toujours les mêmes dans les dramas chinois : persévérance, dur labeur, famille, sens filial, respect des aînés, volonté de réussir à tous prix, etc.

Bref, regardez-le, vous passerez un très agréable moment.

A magnificent audiovisual production on a very "weird" storyline

Mystery-Thriller-Fantasy ❤ with Dilraba & Chen Xing Xu

PLOT: The FL, a sculptor, was trained from childhood to be the Mad Blade in the Nanshan Hunters team (a team that has protected humanity from the Fiends—demons of Earth—for generations). She encounters the ML, Roadsound group's heir, led by Lin Xi Rou (a Fiend who took human form and killed the ML's parents). This pharmaceutical group serves as a cover for Lin Xi Rou to "humanize" other Fiends. The ML (who wants to avenge his parents and find his missing sister) will help the FL, gain her trust, and join the team in their fight against the Fiends.

+++ Dilraba and Chen Xing Xu are fantastic, both in their interactions (real chemistry) and in the action scenes. ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡
+++ Amazing soundtracks, wonderfully creepy, perfectly suited to the atmosphere.
+++ A cast of excellent actors, talented, convincing, and some genuinely creepy.

### The Team is a bunch of misfits who eat and chat, but don't train, don't know how to be prepared... lots of "archaic" rituals and traditions, but nothing else. Brave, but mostly useless.

### The storyline becomes INCOHERENT in the Golden Gate narrative arc: this generation has never been there, but they seem to know the route. They don't even have a way to communicate with those in the mine who are improvising by blowing everything up!! But the Gate Team is even worse (improvising, with Xing Shen summoning demons, etc.). Utter nonsense !!

### La storyline devient INCOHERENTE ds l'arc narratif de la Porte Dorée : cette génération n'y est jamais allée, mais ils ont l'air de savoir l’itinéraire. Ils n'ont mm pas de moyen de communicat° avec ceux de la mine qui improvisent en faisant tout exploser !! Mais la Team de la Porte est encore pire (ds l'impro, avec Xing Shen qui appelle les démons, etc.). Du grand n'importe quoi ٩(╬ʘ益ʘ╬) ٩(╬ʘ益ʘ╬) Sans compter la descente dans le gouffre en plongée sans aucun respect des règles (remontée par paliers, communicat°, etc.) ٩(╬ʘ益ʘ╬) Pour finir, on ignorera tjs comment YT et NJL ont réussi à sortir de la "matrice" finale.

Excellent isekai Satire, unexpected, humorous, and a truly great CL

PLOT: The ML, a star "diva" actor, and the FL, an unambitious actress, read the absurd script of the drama they're supposed to film (where the ML, initially a lover-husband, cheats on the FL, and ends up killing her). But the FL find herself immersed in the script. The FL, daughter of the Minister of War, was engaged to the ML2, and tries everything to correct the storyline, despite the rules imposed by the screenwriter.

+++ An excellent CL with Liu Yu Ning (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) always amazing (sings the opening song) & Li Yi Tong (even if her character's blind stubbornness is annoying during the drama's first half).
+++ A bunch of excellent and famous actors
+++ High-level production with a lot of budget: sets, costumes, CGI, fight scenes, ... Everything is perfect! The costumes are amazing, the designer did a great job!!
+++ Really great OSTs and sound effects
+++ Unpredictable storyline, with suspense maintained until the very end.

### The FL's attitude and behavior become unbearable (sticks to her initial prejudices, without reflection or progression)

PLOT: Le ML, acteur star "diva" et la FL, actrice "peu convaincue" lisent le script absurde du drama qu'ils doivent tourner (où le ML d'abord lover-mari, trompe la FL et finit par la tuer). Mais ils se retrouvent ts les 2 plongés dans le script. La FL, fille du Ministre de la Guerre était fiancée au ML2, tente tout pr corriger la storyline, malgré les règles imposées par le screenwriter.

PLOT: The FL, unhappy with her fiancé, and receptionist at a luxury hotel, suffers from insomnia. She consults a TCM (traditional Chinese doctor), the ML. He treats her, with gentleness and tolerance, and helps her regain control of her life.

+++ The CL (Zhang Ling He & Xu Ruo Han) is superb, talented, subtle (all is said in micro-expressions and glances) with a very natural chemistry.
+++ The actors are good and bring to life endearing characters. No "great villain," just human beings with their strengths and vulnerabilities.
+++ The direction is perfect: sets, costumes, cinematography, pacing, OSTs, ... There is no downtime, clichés, or unnecessary scenes.
+++ The story is intelligently written, the dialogue is often wise, but also funny, and realistic. Chinese medicine is very well showcased (ingredients, methods, philosophy, food, etc.)

Lakorn rated as "feminist" but mostly just a lakorn!!

PLOT: Lin, the FL, is mistreated by her husband (chosen by her father, a macho and authoritarian patriarch). With the help of her brother Kasom, and the ML, Muen, who guides her towards an accounting job in his company, she escaped this hell. After her divorce, Muen courts her (with great difficulty because FL is reluctant after her failure). Furthermore, Muen's ex makes a comeback. Kasom falls in love with Kaew, the ML's cousin. But the patriarch doesn't accept it, finds "his" ideal daughter-in-law, and does everything to marry her off to Kasom. Kasom dies in an accident, and the patriarch became paraplegic.

+++ The actors are convincing (except for the FL, who is pretty but always has a poker face).
+++ The story is fairly coherent.
+++ I really like the second romance (more than the main one because the FL annoys me).

Same vibes as "Perfect 10 Liners" but less catchy.

PLOT: Ter, a veterinary student on a scholarship, is required to be on the Student Council, but he quickly realizes that the President is Hill (a medical student), on whom he had a crush in high school. He tries to avoid Hill, but Hill is determined to win him back (despite multiple love rivals). Around Hill are three attractive guys, including Johan, who is in love with North, Ter's best friend.

+++ I like Pond, Maxki, and Bas, but I don't connect with Earth (the actor who plays the MC, who only has two expressions: a beatific smile and Bubbles eyes :( ).
+++ The directing is OK, but the pacing is a bit slow, and the story is too simplistic: not much happens, apart from the discovery of what Hill and Johan did in secret to help those they loved.
+++ The OSTs are OK, nothing special.

### Lots of handsome actors, but that's not enough to make a good story.
### Ter and North's behavior щ(ಠ益ಠщ) (up to episode 7 and beyond) is deeply annoying: overacted, lots of facial expressions and grimaces, excessively childish behavior for 19-20 year olds.
### In the finale, all the problems are solved miraculously, and the familys are incredibly understanding.

=> Pure entertainment, and I don't understand the hype around this series.

PLOT : Boursier à l'université, Ter (école véto) doit faire partie du Conseil Etudiant, mais il s'aperçoit vite que le Président du Conseil est Hill (étudiant en médecine) sur lequel il avait 1 crush au lycée. Il tente de le fuir, mais Hill veut le reconquérir à tous prix (malgré love rivals multiples). Autour de Hill, 3 beaux gosses, dont Johan amoureux de North, meilleur ami de Ter.

+++ J'aime bien Pond, Maxki et Bas, mais je n'accroche pas avec Earth [acteur qui joue le MC, qui n'a que 2 expressions, le sourire béat et les yeux de Bubulle :( ].
+++ Réalis° OK mais la narration est un peu lente, et la story trop simpliste : il ne se passe pas gd-chose, hormis la découverte de ce que Hill et Johan ont fait en secret pr aider ceux qu'ils aimaient.

PLOT: Cher/Laem (a playful student, gamer, and streamer) begins an internship at Boss Gun's company (a taciturn, demanding man with a history of homophobia trauma). I've rarely seen such a poorly written story :(

PLOT: Following the assassination of her husband (a wealthy businessman), a woman asks her driver to bring his son Palm (a fisherman) back to protect her own son, Nueng (a high school student and for everyday life). Palm protects Nueng as much as possible (physically and emotionally). However, an assassination attempt wounds the mother and forces Palm and Nueng to flee. When Palm's mother is also killed, the two (now) lovers decide to return to Bangkok to confront the Great Villain.

+++ I like Pond and Phuwit, particulary Pond who is charismatic, but Phuwit is a bit too poker-faced for my taste. Pond and Phuwit are very cute and handsome, but the chemistry isn't obvious. More, Phuwit doesn't seem very comfortable in intimate scenes. Pond is much more natural.
+++ I love the OSTs.
+++ No technical issues whatsoever. term of production°.

BUT
### Palm's father character holds the record for stupidity and incompetence.
### NOTHING in the storyline makes sense: the heir (later avenger) in high school? A young, incompetent fisherman as a bodyguard? PLOT: Suite à l'assassinat de son mari (riche homme d'affaires), une femme demande au chauffeur de ramener son fils Palm (pêcheur) pr protéger son propre fils, Nueng (lycée et vie quotidienne). +++ J'aime bcp Pond & Phuwit, surtt Pond qui est charismatique, mais Phuwit est un peu trop poker-face à mon goût. Pond & Phuwin sont très cute, handsome, mais l'alchimie n'est pas évidente. En particulier, Phuwin ne semble pas très à l'aise dans les scènes intimes. Pond est bcp plus naturel.

Un gamin de 18 ans, seul, face à 1 oncle mafieux puissant et prêt à tout, alors que ses parents (adultes et compétents) n'ont mm pas su se protéger ? [...] Je ne peux pas faire la liste, elle est trop longue, mais on ne fait pas du KinnPorsche au lycée ...

Mini Historical Revenge series (26 x 15") - Sweet and Fun

PLOT: Two feuding sisters were married in the same mansion: FL (calm and wise) to the son of a concubine (lazy, opportunistic, and perverse); and FL2 (jealous, manipulative, and twisted) to the Crown Prince (why ? He is not the emperor's son). The Crown Prince divorces, and both sisters are killed. They are both reincarnated and decide to swap husbands. The Crown Prince will gradually be won over by FL, but this couple has many enemies (love rival; ML2; FL2; Prince Ning, etc.) who will eventually kill the Crown Prince and the sisters. Second reincarnation -> everyone will be more cunning.

+++ Excellent actors. I am delighted to see Qin Tian Yu in his first leading role; he truly deserves it!
+++ Effective, fast-paced direction and consistent storyline.

### Lots of used twists: poison, aphrodisiac, corrupted rival, evil FL2 always appearing at the right time and place, etc.

=> Nice, light, played by talented actors ... but not memorable. Just for the fun :)

PLOT: 2 sœurs ennemies ont été mariées dans le mm manoir : la FL (calme et sage) avec le fils d'1 concubine (fainéant, profiteur, pervers) ; la FL2 (jalouse, manipulatrice, tordue) avec le Prince Héritier (??? mais pas fils d'empereur). Le CP divorce et les 2 sœurs sont tuées. Elles se réincarnent ttes les 2 et décident d'échanger leurs maris. Le CP va être peu à peu conquis par la FL, mais ce couple a des nbreux ennemis (love rival; ML2 ; FL2 ; Prince Ning, etc.) qui finiront par tuer le CL et la soeur. 2nde réincarnat° -> tt le monde sera + rusé. HE.

+++ Excellents acteurs. Je suis ravie de voir Qin Tian Yu ds son 1e main rôle, il le mérite bien !
+++ Réalis° efficace, rythmée et storyline cohérente.

### Bcp de twists usés : poison, aphrodisiaque, rival corrompu, evil FL2 qui se trouve tjs au bon moment et au bon endroit, etc.

+++ A funny, subtle, and very cute CL with Michieda Shunsuke and Meguro Ren. The emotional bonds are strong and well-expressed, but romance and physical expression are lacking.
+++ Talented actors and endearing characters (some almost caricatured "in the Japanese style").
+++ Fast-paced direction and a story that portrays the trials of first love quite well.

PLOT: A cause d'1 nom et d'1 coeur sur une gomme, Aoki (Michieda Shunsuke) se déclare à Ida (Meguro Ren). Celui-ci est surpris, mais décide d'y réfléchir. Avec le temps, Aoki tombe vraiment amoureux de Ida, qui finit par accepter de se mettre en couple. Mais ces 2 novices en amour ont bien des obstacles à surmonter.

+++ Un CL drôle, subtile, très cute avec Michieda Shunsuke et Meguro Ren. Les liens affectifs sont forts et bien exprimés, mais le romantisme et l'expression physique sont absents.
+++ Des acteurs de talent et des personnages attachants (certains presque caricaturaux "à la japonaise").
+++ Réalis° rythmée & story qui décrit assez bien les affres du 1er amour.
