I agree about the mothers. Last episode when Seok Ryu’s mother does a 180 after a single fight I was kinda surprised, because a person doesn’t change so easily. But then in ep3 through the conversation b/w her parents, we see that the mother hasn’t actually changed much, only her “approach” has changed.

I completely agree, I was rather curious how they would handle the breakup part, considering they matured JX’s character so much in the drama and HT’s character is not as distant here.
Novel JX was indeed a spoiled brat and that was exactly what made them getting back together so satisfying. The conversation they have in hospital was peak character development for her. But in the drama, even if they have the same conversation few episodes down the line it won’t be as impactful as in the novel.

yeah, and condensing it made sense since some parts of conversation between JX and HT would’ve been out of character with respect to drama characterization.
anyway, I agree the drama is beautiful. Having read the novel, I appreciate the changes they made even more since that enhanced the story so much, which is rare in adaptations. it’s usually the other way around.

ahh, I really liked the part in novel where HT “bargains” the money he’ll give the guy to stop making a scene. I’m kinda sad they didn’t keep that scene.

Exactly. episodes till now have felt like getting to know real people, where you can only understand someone slowly with time but they will still surprise you from time to time.

This feels like a story aimed at character dissection. Not only we the viewers are getting to know and understand the characters but through this second chance the characters are also getting to understand themselves, each other and other people in their life.

I’m really liking the dialogues a lot. They are not flat but direct reflection of how the character is, making the characters 3 dimensional and realistic.
Looking forward to the character development of LR & PWX. I’m also really curious abt SRQ, his motives, goals and priorities are too mysterious and shady right now.

Exactly, even the dialogues & imagination have foreshadowing.
In ep7 Sol imagines meeting SJ in 2023 again and he asks “who are you ? do I know you?” and ep 13/14 happpens.

Even now I can’t wait to rewatch after I’ve finished it because I’ll be watching with a lot of hindsight.

I Agree. The fact that they have not spoon-fed every little thing is also one of the reason why I enjoy and love LR.
