I doubt they will do season 2. The ratings were ok but I don't think it was a hit. I think the best thing about this series for was the fighting scenes. Even though I love Li Yi Tong, I still didn't find the drama that engaging. They could have wrapped up some episodes and not made it felt draggy. It was picking up steam towards the end but most people ended up checking out already. It ends when we actually want them to flesh out the story. sigh...

Her character is not really well-written. I think Li Yi Tong tried to best to make her likeable. Well, every drama has its flaws. It's too bad because this drama could have been so much better. It had alot of potential.

I thought she made the decision to quit Wu Geng Ji?

It's mostly rumors. Most of the time it's just false hopes. Like when she was casted for Starry Love with Gong Jun. I was a bit disappointed when that fell through. If she was in that drama then she would have gain more fame now. I don't believe it until we see production pictures. I'm praying for Si Ming the most.

I don't think this show can do season 2. I don't think there is enough story there for that. Plus I doubt LYT will want to play this role again. She's over the age range for this type of role even though she looks the part for it.

I can't stand her either; esp when she dress up in Chinese costumes as if she's a youngster. Though for this series itself, it does have its flaws. Even as an ardent fan of Li Yi Tong, I wouldn't say this drama is great. So I see how others who don't like her will not look towards it favorably. Hopefully, her next dramas will be blow everyone away.

I never thought about their resemblance until you guys mentioned it. I do see it but I don't think they look identical that people would mistaken them. Li Yi Tong could definitely pass as the younger sister of Bail Lu. Though I do think that Bai Lu is prettier though. They both have different vibes for me. Li Yi Tong is more on bubbly cute and Bai Lu has more of sexy aura.

More people rated the drama so it dropped.

I’m in the same boat. I love Li yi Tong so I’ll keep watching but it’s not as interesting as I hoped. I thought they would make it a suspense detective drama but it’s not.

I think she was supposed to be the naughty one. I remember that Gong Jun was rumored to be the male lead at that time. Though the current leads now are doing great job in their roles. I really do love Landy Li in that series.

The Starry Love is good. Though I wished Li Yi Tong picked up that drama at that time. She was originally casted for that role. The script on that one was better overall and it would bring her recognition.

I do that the fact that she likes to play different types of roles. Sure this drama was not as great as I hoped it would be but it's meant for light entertainment. It could been much better but that's why good dramas are a gem. I like Li Yi Tong more because she came to acting because she liked it. I'm sure she just wants to try new role that will challenge her. Her previous ones were always kind of more serious. I'm sure she knows that she will not be able to play these roles anymore so she just want to try it. Given her age, I don't think they will give her these types of scripts in the future. Though she does still look the part for it.

Oh i see. I just meant in broader sense that people often don't like why chinese dramas are often dubbed. Maybe she's trying to bring something new to her character but it didn't worked out that way.

You guys should cut her some slack. I don’t think she does this often. When it’s dubbed, then people complained they don’t like the voice, when it’s their own voice then they say it doesn’t sound good. Some people found her voice to be babyish. Just let professionals dub it then. Can’t have both worlds.
