Does anyone know how the drama did in terms of ratings in China?

What a cute drama! Though I wish they didn't change some scenes from the novel. Overall, it's a good light watch. I liked ZLS and CZY but I love them to pieces now. Can't wait for them to be in another drama together.

From to the preview ep 16 and 17, looks like they'll be some misunderstanding because of Jia Xu being too busy. They might cut it at the part before they resolve their issues. Damn, the wait until Monday will be brutal. Why couldn't they air another episode on Friday! :(

That's true but isn't most of her characters are like that? I feel like she's starting to be typecast. LYT has a more youthful face so I think she fits more into this role than PXR. Hopefully, it'll be a fun drama.

I thought that the their first kiss was rather funny. As it's her first kiss and she wants it to be romantic but it didn't turn out to be as she wanted. When he said "open your mouth", I laughed so hard because it's true to his nature that he was desperate. I did find it a bit aggressive.

According to the novel, tmr might be the episode will be the birthday scene where he confess to her. I can't wait! lol I hope it'll be as funny as it is in the novel.

I agree. I liked them both before but I love them here. I seen ZLS other dramas and I found that she's very good most of the time but here I just love the way she portrayed her character. Esp in the younger days, you can feel the character's innocence. She does look the part as well with the styling. CZY could make it really big if he keep this up. I seen three of his dramas and he always excel in all of them. Plus he's so handsome! lol

I saw on another blog that the Screenwriter for The Whirlwind Girl called for Hidden Love to be remove citing that the plot premise is gross for the girl to be that young. The heck? It's pretty normal in real to have crushes on an older guy. Plus they do not get together until she was older so I don't know what the problem is. IDK is this screenwriter is trying to steal some thunder. Some people commented how it was gross of his character was flirty with her the first three episodes? huh? I did not see any of that the first three episodes. All I saw was him being a caring brother towards her and not a predator in anyway that made her fall for him. Did you guys?

I hope this does not affect the drama in anyway. I love this drama too much.

I also find it funny at some parts of the novel about his aggressiveness but it's make sense because the man is already 24 and has never had a girl. lol i'm sure SZ find it annoying at times.

I love that this story because of this arc. DJX life is indeed tragic but SZ love is what will make up for all that he lacks in this life. I read the novel and there were really moving scenes where you can sense his loneliness. Thank god for Sang Zhi or otherwise he'll probably be alone forever because he felt inferior because of what happened to his family.

The piggy back scene was my favorite. ZLS's acting is amazing. She really makes everything feel so natural. She does indeed have a natural talent for this. How can anyone not fall in love with Sang Zhi! She's so cute and adorable.

I also love the family's dynamic. I wish to be Sang Zhi. Her parents are awesome and her brother so caring towards her. Plus she got two hot guys chasing after her. How lucky! lol

We have to thank Jiang Ying for helping our leads be together. In the novel, DJX did go on dates with a few and some did made some progress but because they all scared away because of Jiang Ying. So he decided to stay single until he met up with Sang Zhi again in Uni. It'll be really sad if SZ never develop any feelings for him from the start because without her he would have been very lonely. Possibly will live his whole life alone because he felt inferior because of what happened to his family. His life is rather tragic.

I'm loving that the drama being very true to the novel. Even alot of the dialogue are the same. I also feel kinda bad for Jiang Ming. He's quite cute and handsome but Sang Zhi never gave him a chance. I have a feeling that he might end up with her friend at the end. I wish there would been some love rivalry going on between the three. Would love to see DJX get jealous over SZ. hehe

omg i'm loving this so much. Wish they release the whole thing already. I can't wait anymore that I went on to read the novel summaries. I liked ZLS before but her role is so spot on. Her micro expressions as a young innocent girl is so spot on. You can feel her shyness and innocence. It's so sweet and cute. It reminded me of my own crush back in high school. Chen Ze Yan is also perfect for this role. I only seen a few of his dramas and he excels in all his roles. It's also a plus that he's such an eye candy.

Yup. Which still makes no sense to me. They still died in the current lifetime. If they get a happy ending in the previous life, then that should change the current lifetime as well because he was not forced to kill her then.

I felt like I got dumber after watching this show. lol What a waste of resources and talents. Whoever wrote the script should find another niche. They tried to be different but it came out horrible.

I am so disappointed that they ruined another drama with awful writing. The leads were great together. Their love story would have been so cute if not for the crazy second half of the story. I hope it's not going to be awful ending as well. I skipped a bunch of episodes only to be more annoyed by the emperor. He is beyond forgivable at this point. I hope they reincarnate him into a mouse in the next lifetime. lol

I heard one of the main actors offended the government so the drama will likely not see the light of day? Damn..I was so looking forward to see Bai Lu and Zhang Ling He. Why the govt has to ruin many of the dramas I like. The role of the actor is quite big so either they have to reshoot or use AI to edit his scenes? Or maybe the government will let him off easy since he's not that famous.

I went to read the summary of this novel and it's too similar in her role in Court Lady. The only thing is that her family will be really poor. Even Joseph's role in Time Flies and You are Here feels similar to his role here. IDK if that's a good or bad thing. I'm just happy to see LYT onscreen. Her last few dramas were a bit disappointing.

I hope they can pace it out better this time as they govt restricted the episodes to be 40. If they keep it at 50 then they'll probably have to split it in two parts. I hate it because it ruins alot of dramas that way. It ruined Court Lady midway because it made no sense with all the edits to keep in line with the rules.

I'm excited for the drama but a bit disappointed with the male lead. I don't hate Joseph but I always found him to be lack luster. I wished they kept Liu Xue Yi. He's more on Li Yi Tong caliber of acting. I want someone who has the acting chops to carry the drama.

Oh well, I hope the drama will do well for her and bring her more fame. Go LYT!
