Can XY just marry both of them and we all be happy? lol geez people. It's all fiction. Calm down. Tragic love stories are often more popular so that was why Tong Hua made XL as tragic as he is.

I can't imagine if she does marry both of them and they all live in the same house, that would be a load of fun wouldn't it. They'll be fighting over all every day. XL will probably be even more enraged. lol

I don't see their point either. He tried to constraint himself all this time and has nothing forceful towards her. It was her who initiated d the first kiss. His family is important to him and so is XY so that's why he's having hard time going against his grandma.

I don't see how it can end differently. Unless people want a tragic love ending where everybody dies. That's kind of typical of how other dramas are isn't it! That'll probably the only plausible ending if she chose the other party. Even if she lives and goes back to Jing, she'll probably be in pain for the rest of her life. IDK how that is any better. To love someone is give them happiness. I find that his sacrifice will be quite beautiful. That is more of an epic love than anything.

I am actually on team Jing from the beginning. hehe I like the author gave us a FL that is more about logic and not just about love. She chose base on alot of things and not just love. If it's just love, then it'll be XL but the consequences of that would be devastation for both of them. While Jing is not as interesting as others but in real life we all want a safe love like that. Someone who will give us sense of peace and love. Though it's still good for her to experience other loves and which is what i love about this series. It's more realistic and not just one love for life kind of deal.

People keep asking for alternative ending for XY and XL. There can only be two paths I see for them. One is they get together and they both die. There's no other way for XL as he will never leave his loyalty for his stepfather. Or that they be together for a short time and XL entrusts XY to to Jing as he will be sacrifice for the army even in this scenerio. At least that'll be sweeter ending than her not knowing about what he did. Though it'll all be tragic so that is why he hid all his actions from her.

He thought XY died and he didn't have the will to live even though he only had external injuries. XL woke XY after 37 years because Jing will die soon. She was also in a coma for 37 years under XL's care. People tried to save him but he put himself in a coma because he wanted to go with her.

I can't wait for next week's episode at the phoenix flowers scene (aka assassination scene). I hope they will do Jing justice in that scene. I believe that is one of the few emotional scenes that he will have in the drama. I hope he will able to showcase his acting. Deng Wei is a quite new to the acting scene but he showed alot of potential so far. So far everyone on the cast is really good. I'm quite impressed with ZWI and TJC as well. I didn't know that TJC was in Court Lady. I didn't like his character back then but he's quite good here.

I heard they will cut it down to 21 episodes? That's 14 episodes of material. I hope it doesn't ruin the drama. Annoying government. They ruined a lot of dramas that I loved. :(

I feel sorry for XL but his life is too complicated. He's a very loyal person but that's also his downfall. I do believe that XY loves him more than Jing. Though I would still ship her with Jing. If she live as man like before and just ran away with XL then might have work. Her family would not let her just live in peace. Their backgrounds are too complicated for a happy ending.

His life is indeed tragic as well. Nothing is within his own control. It'll just be a matter of time before he goes crazy. At least XL was able to spend some sweet time with XY but CX never got from XY. He will always be someone who's like a brother to her. Even if he told her early on about his feelings, I don't think they would have a chance either unless they run away together. Though I don't think she can ever see him differently as she has feelings for the other two already.

Yes! today's scene was so sweet. I get goosebumps when they're looking at each other like that. Deng Wei looks so good in costume dramas. He's so dashingly handsome. lol

No, it's the opposite. I would say 60% of people shipped him with XY. lol I'm on team Jing though.

Someone wrote in the comments section about their observation of Jing and I felt they were spot on. Before he met XY, he must been more charismatic person than he is now. The hurt that his brother inflicted on him left him with alot of mental scars. So that was why he felt that he was not good enough for XY. That is why his love for her is obsessive because she was the only one who liked him for who is. Under normal circumstances he might not like her to the degree like he does now. His character description was someone who's very smart and business savvy. Yet, we haven't seen that side of him. It's understandable because of the trauma he went through.

I get what you mean but the arc about XY and XL's love is because of their tragic past. Like how they were being tortured. That was what made them connect. If you take it out the equation, then it'll be an entirely different story.

To change the ending is to change the whole novel because XL's life was already determined even before he met XY. So there's no way they could have a happy ending. He can't leave his obligations and go with XY. Only Jing made XY as his whole world so it made sense. People should see that they had a beautiful love but the trials of life made them part ways and it's still a beautiful love. It's more realistic because how many of us will marry the our first loves. We will have to through many love trials to find the one. Our greatest love is usually not the one we will marry.

I feel it's that XL is Tong Hua's favorite. As if the show is written for him. I love Jing though. lol I questioned if the lead is really Cang Xuan as the title reflects XY and XL love story more.

They're all so interesting in their own way. Jing may look innocent but he seems to be the mastermind in a lot of things. Though his weakness with his brother is still unfounded. He should have least get some revenge even if he doesn't want to kill him.

I get his reasoning but I also don't see why he doesn't tell her directly. She can't read his mind. She would have understood him better as to why he didn't do it. The one I find really flawed about his character is his principles. He's afraid that he will lose her to other men but he doesn't make use of the situation to show his love more. She might walk away thinking that maybe she didn't mean to him as much. Even the way he described why Yi Feng came off wrong too. It would made any girl feel like that his fiancée didn't want him so now he's here. Also, he's not doing enough to speed up breaking off his engagement. It doesn't give XY alot of signs that's he's serious and only wanting to be with her.
