When XY and Jing woke up, he found that his grandma took a pill to keep herself alive to keep the clan afloat. She asked that he do his part. He got drugged by YY and made it look like he slept with her. XY found that YY was pregnant and broke up with Jing. Jing was forced to marry YY. The misunderstanding will last until next season as they will only resolve their problems after her "almost" wedding with Feng Long. Jing and FBB teamed up together to make sure that she didn't marry Feng Long. She got mad and rushed to see Jing. That was when they had heart-to-heart talked about what really happened. All these years, he couldn't sleep or eat because of her and his illness got worse. He also learned that YY killed his sister-in-law so he has been trying to gather evidence. XY made a plan to expose them so she lured Hou to make YY jealous. YY got jealous and it was recorded by XY's mirror. Jing showed the evidence to his clan and the evil couple finally got some punishment. XY and Jing got finally got back together openly as they don't have to hide anymore. So I'm assuming that they will be separated for another 10 to 15 episodes as Season 1 ends with CX ascending the throne.

But from the beginning he stated that the reason he wanted power so he could protect her. I think he would have been able to give it up for her.

I don't think Jing would have many chances had CX made his move. He wouldn't have give Jing a chance to meet her numerous times and it was only then that they got closer. She may have had some feelings for Jing but it only got deeper later on when they got to the palace. It was never as deep as Jing felt for her. I think if she knew CX had the type of feelings for her, she wouldn't be able to refuse him. They had a deep connection since they were young and she would have chosen him over any of the others.

Is this based on a novel? Does anyone know the ending? I want to know if it's going to be tragic. I love Bai Lu but too many sad dramas lately. lol

I wonder how the story would have been if Tong Hua had CX confess back when XY first came back to the palace? At times I do feel sorry for CX as he is the loneliest character of the show. I'm guessing in that scenario, Jing wouldn't even be in the picture. He would probably be in agony and be sideline as her friend. XL would still silently love and protect at all cost. Would XY be happy with CX because she will have to live in the palace for the rest of her life? CX would also have many women as well. The story would have been just as interesting in that aspect.

Deng wei is so different in real life. Seems more mature with a bad boy vibe. His face seems to serious all the time. I don't think he likes to be on variety shows. lol

I think alot of people like his character more in the drama because Deng Wei brought life to Jing and made him more likeable. It's mainly because his character is mainly weaker than the two guys. Jing in the novel was regarded as someone who is highly intelligent and that wasn't really showcase much in the drama as some lines and scenes were cut. The reason why he is weaker because of his abuse from his brother and he is not the same person he used to be. Someone made this statement and I find it to quite true. That he would not have love XY as much if it wasn't for his past trauma. It made him felt less as a person and because she saved him so to him she's everything. So at times he even felt like she's too good for him. Had they met when he was the Jing before the trauma, he would probably still fell in love with her but not at the level he is now. Overall, Deng Wei's portrayal of Jing is pretty spot on.

I think it's mainly preference. As she has three choices to pick from, people may find him to be the weaker of the three guys and everyone has their favs. Though the way the story was written, Jing is still the best choice for her overall.

I feel the same about the beggar comment. lol I'm glad Deng Wei got to work in a production such as this to get his name out there . Even though he got some hate but at least it got his name out there.

Thank you for your post. I feel bad for people picking on Jing. I don't know why they don't take the criticism to Tong hua as she made all the fictional characters after all. I think the drama failed to highlight his intelligence and all people saw was his flaws. I also feel like they're gonna pick on him no matter what since he'll be end game. Which i also don't understand why people can't just enjoy the drama. Not all drama will end well. All will have tragic characters and XL is the tragic character here. The way the story went, XY will not have a happy end if she chose XL and people would rather she have a sad end? I don't understand that either. I find that it's more beautiful that the sacrifices he did for her without wanting anything in return. To love someone doesn't mean you have to be with that person. So in a way, he is the hero. Though I do wish that XY would have known what he did for her. Tong Hua just made that more tragic. She just love tragic ending i guess. lol

Do you guys think they'll be able to edit out that line where he said about giving up his status for her? That would give some more seconds of extra crying scenes. lol

No idea. New regulations are 3 months apart but they just released new regulations recently to 12 months so we don't know if LYF will fall into that. So we might be looking at summer next year.

So they're not doing it officially? I thought it was something like they'll release the episode again with the new edit. If they're just letting us playing around with the footage then what's the point? :(

Rewatching the episodes made me appreciate the costume department even more. They indeed did a great job in enhancing everyone's beauty. I love that the styling for the girls' hair are simple but very elegant. It's not overly done like other dramas. I like Yang Zhi's outfits here more than Ashes of Love. She looked so pretty in ep 29. I think part of Jing's allure is his regal look. His outfits complimented his beauty really well. I didn't notice Deng Wei until this series. Same thing with the XL's character. I didn't even know about him until this series. I had to go back to watch Court Lady to see how he was because I didn't even like his character in that series. lol

I think there are more of us than it seems. We try to avoid the comment section because alot people just negative towards Jing.

I never mentioned anything about abuse. Lol I simply meant people like guys with more of an edge to them.

Women tend to gear towards bad boys and it’s so true in real life so why are you guys surprised ? Lol people find Jing boring bc he’s not complex. Xl and XY share the bond bc of their tragic past. He’s way more humanized in later episodes. I think the writer wanted to show that demons have compassion too.
