That's like 5 reasons why I haven't dropped Hwarang. 5 reasons NOT to watch it would be: 1) Messy plot…
I totally understand your frustration with Go Ah Ra. However, I think that in this case it's more the role she plays and not the actress herself. I've seen Go Ah Ra in Reply 1988 and I loved her in that one, but I can't stand her in Hwarang. I just think that her character is badly written and in my opinion a quite unnecessary character.
I've been enjoying it immensely as well. Although I respect people's opinions about the drama, I don't understand how anyone could hate it either (I guess I am biased because I love it too much) :D
I've never liked that drama. I know that most people enjoy this drama tremendously, but I could never get into it. It bored me to death and finishing it was complete and utter torture to me :D ... I do, however, love cross-dressing dramas. This is just my opinion, I don't mind other people liking it :)
Well, I guess I am pretty lucky, since I don't care about romance in dramas, so that means no second-lead…
yeah, I'm getting aggressive too, but I think it wouldn't be like this if the actors didn't do a great job - they can really make you hate a certain character :)
Well, I guess I am pretty lucky, since I don't care about romance in dramas, so that means no second-lead syndrome and no problems with statue kisses (nice word btw) for me :D
I guess, out of those, I hate weak female lead the most, because how often can a person get stepped on but still blame herself or just cry or not doing anything at all. That's too frustating!!!
Something that isn't on the list but totally bugs me --> when the villains don't get properly punished. They get away with everything and never face any real consequences. Of course this doesn't happen in all dramas, but in quite a few and I hate it. Also, when people always listen in on other peoples' conversation at just the right moment to overhear a crucial piece of information. It happens way too often in a single drama to be realistic.
I know that some of you don't know the drama Queen Seondeok but it shows the Hwarang in action, it also shows…
Because I watched QSD I found this drama and got interested, because the Hwarang were on of my favourite things about QSD, which is one of my favourite dramas :)
I can definitely say that I enjoyed this drama although I have mixed feelings about it. I think this is mainly…
Wow, you've just spoken the words I've been searching for for a while ... I feel the same way :) ... well, the Chinese one is my favorite drama. Although I really liked the Korean remake, it will never be as good as the Chinese one to me :)
Oh man, I had totally gotten over and forgotten that Gaksital ship. Now it will haunt me again. T_T But... try…
You are right ... and btw, UHK is plain awesome. I laughed so hard and I also loved the sad/dramatic moments. It is a good mix and it has lots of loveable characters. Another drama that comes to mind is "King's Daughter Soo Baek Hyang. It has 108 episodes, but they are also short (30 min/episodes). It's like a real sageuk, not like a sitcom and it is a really good drama, way too underrated in my opinion
I love dramas with lots of episodes, because the characters can be much deeper and well-developed ... same goes for the storylines. However, some long dramas tend to become repetitive and thus - boring. If the writers have enough ideas to fill 50+ episodes, it's all great and I love that, but if it is a story that can be told in 20 episodes, they should just do that and not repeat the same plot 5 times in a row. Well, most of my favourite dramas have 35+ episodes, not all, but most of them. I hate to wait for episodes though and the wait is pretty long if you follow currently airing dramas. If a drama has that many episodes it is better to wait until it has finished airing (or at least almost). Still, I am too impatient most of the time :D
I am a person who loves gender bender dramas and I've loved almost all of them. I really liked Bromance in the beginning, but around episode 10 or 11 it became boring for me and I really struggled to finish it.
