I have missed him since his last modern drama aired a few months back,, I wanted to watch him in something different and really he picks different genera each time
The last drama aired of his was Take Us Home drama, a slice-of-life Chinese drama
I only watched his story in this drama and it was so good as usual, his melodramatic acting is beyond amazing

Bai Yu , the male lead here is one of the best 100% ,, And not Idol like he's not that handsome but he's one of the best real Chinese actors
He made several realistic slice of life dramas and made me cry so hard in each one of them because he really can act and his acting skill is brillient
I've watched almost all of his dramas even the boring ones because him in it , it wasn't boring at all

Bai Yu is one of the best Chinese actors I've ever watched
He never disappoints in any drama but the plot is the most important here

Ultimate Note is basically about a young man from an ancient family of archeologists of sorts , they tend to steal ancient artifacts from ancient mystic tombs and trade them .. that young man has two best friends one of them is very old but looks young and has superior martial arts power
the three embark on a journey to look for the young man's uncle as he was his idol and mentor when he was young so they go into an adventure to find clues about the where about of the male lead's uncle, while doing so they encounter mystical creatures and dangerous places
They sometimes join people with different interests mostly stealing ancient treasure
That's the whole series story and if you watched based on that summary you will understand what's going on

The ML was obnoxious at first half of the drama but he will experience hardships and loses , he will grow just try to stick to it , it will get better after twenty something episode
