The ML was obnoxious at first half of the drama but he will experience hardships and loses , he will grow just try to stick to it , it will get better after twenty something episode

I was annoyed at first too but this drama gets really good for me in it's second half after twenty episodes or so when it starts the angst and the more dangerous stakes
I'm rewatching the drama again and I find every thing FDB does is just adorable also Cheng Yi real voice with his spectacular acting is beyond amazing I noticed some traits of his own real personality as cheng yi seeps through his performance sometimes
So how strong was the male lead how many times was he nerfed? For plots sake? Was he nerfed in finale also?
