I'm a woman, If I have a crush on a gentleman because of his personality or whatever but learn that he's not interested in me and there is someone else who is interested, I wouldn't waste my heart's feelings on someone who considers me a sister and I will treat him as a brother moving on to the person who cares for me
I wouldn't be an obstacle in their friendship to make the person interested feel jealous and if I'm not interested in that other guy then stop leading him on and giving him false hope that just may be I will love him someday
