I think his role as Hong Gil Dong come quite close. I ended up watching Rebel first and then SFD but agree that he is superb as Warrior Mu Hyul in SFD

Trouble with Kdrama sequels is that they are not able to retain most of the cast for second or third seasons -think they dont have sequels mentioned in contracts as no one is sure to get a season 2 -only one or 2 main characters return for season 2 or they do it with a new cast like Bad Guys etc.
Only show I remember handling this aspect well was Quiz of God..Many shows have left their stories incomplete like Vampire Prosecutor etc.

This writer seems to love the Japanese occupied Korea timeline and 2 of her shows -this one and Capital Scandal -deal with the theme and are both brilliant shows in my opinion.
It is another matter that both the shows didn't get high ratings in Korea when they aired.

It's more a fantasy but it mixes a lot of historical elements

Liked it but for me Satellite,Be My Light and Writing our stories were the pick from CT 's OST

Two powerhouse talents coming together on a sequel to a most sensational show !Wow,I really feel Park Shin Yang and Go Hyun Joong have done too few dramas

It is actually "Seventeen" by Every Single day but quite like the other songs .

It is one of the best OST songs ever but it was a 2017 drama,was it not ?

Park Hyo Shin's "The Day" has a total epic quality to it and grows on you more with each listen

Stranger OST is plain awesome and gels so well with the whole show!

It is the best kind of confusion as both the pairings could have ended well but I ended up liking the final pairing.Do give a try and see

Just started rewatching this and fell in love with it again.Seo In Guk plays a total opposite of his many recent characters and is so good and understated in the title role.Nam Ji Hyun impressed me a lot the second time around-her character is so well written. The OTP here is one of the best ever.The bonding they have when they know nothing of each other and when they start falling in love is a sight to behold !

Yoon Sang Hyun,Im se Mi and Oh Dae Hwan are also very good in their roles and generate many ROFL moments.

Excellent OST,great writing and Superb direction.
Yes,it could have been better as a 12 ep show but still is pure drama bliss the time it plays.Worth watching if you like Seo In Guk,Great OTPs ,Beautiful romance dramas.

If you closely watch the scenes-thendriver was NOT DRUNK on the day -he was framed by the other evil folks. We may disagree om the other points but it was an excellent show on the whole

There are some great track here but think this post misses out very good Osts from My ID is Gangnam Beauty,Your Honour ,Evergreen, Still 17, Miracle we met (Monochrome),Sky Castle(Many great tracks) Other Ost from Are you Human.

This year was also good for other genres like Horror ,action and slice of life dramas .Even Your House Helper,Ghost detective,Children of Nobody and Lawless Lawyer has some great OST as well as instrumental tracks.
