MDL ratings are sometimes the biggest joke..I mean who rates a drama a 10 or a 1 without even seeing it fully..Flawed system that way
Having been on this site for some time,am not awfully concerned by these ratings. Many downright boring shows get above 8.5 ratings here..so..
Am sure this drama would get discovered by many along time as while there is no idol playing main roles here ,this is a superb acting cast and they have been incredible..

The actors were incredible,yes..Hope to see them in a happier setting soon.

Could be..Not necessary that it looked good optics wise but the fact that the shownrunners even tried it was brave of them..The fact that this was on SBS and not some cable network was a surprise for me..
This drama took risks not many celebrated ones have and i think will remain special for that. My only point is there are people on this site giving ratings of 1 etc..which seems ludicrous for a well crafted show...
But then ,guess Alice will.find its own supporters when all this noise starts to settle.

U also made me smile..A drama is finally a creative commercial enterprise for ratings..Do u really think there is a wide public waiting to see a show focusing on supporting characters instead of leads -esp stars like ones in this? Also,the crying u refer to is after near death/actual death experiences (there are many in this drama) and that is a natural response for many people in situations like that if they are close to the other person.I did feel many secondary characters were given enough screentime though it could have been better .

No disrespect but I guess you didnt want any character development for leads. (As that is what it was as per me) .No kdrama will be shot focusing on secondary characters only

I m guessing that its the fault of 16 eps format that many characters are not explored fully..The older 20/24 eps format would have been far better for a show like this ..
I still remember Heartless City had around 24 eps but was paced so well and all back stories were well presented. Different genres but could have been better

I loved it ..See for yourself rather than on comments which mysteriously are very negative on MDL

This is not a Nat Geo documentary but a fiction drama..no disrespect but a mainstream network targets more people than sci fi enthusiasts alone and having said that it was incredibly brave that SBS aired this one and not some cable network considering the dark themes etc.

Finally done with Ep 16 and am glad to report that this drama achieved something incredible-an actual happy ending
Alice will go down as one drama that knew its strengths were thrills,action,fast pace and familial emotions and played beautifully on them
Lieutenant Park and his mom are 2 of my fave Kdrama characters now..The last ep and the mom's actions -will be difficult to keep dry eyes in this epsiode.
Lieutenant park had a life full of miseries but remained stradfdast throughout and didnt flinch one bit before any self sacrifice. One of best standout leading kdrama men.Youll feel all his emotions as you see his journey.
For all people who claim they are disgusted with the lead pair romance ,can only say that the mom and Tae Yi are different characters..Just bcos they have identical faces doesnt mean its as bad as the comments make it to be..
One gripe i do have is that the dad Min Hyeok didnt get a happy ending - Many questions do remain with the ending and was this a perfectly logical scientific drama?No but it sure entertained me more than many others did this year..Really hope Kwak Shi Yang gets more leading roles -he was awesome as the unfortunate absentee dad.
Finally ,should u watch a drama which seems a target of MDL watchers lately for negative comments ? Yes,if you like fast paced ,thrilling ,emotions filled ,mysterious and action filled dramas.All actors are incredibly good in this.Music,BGM, writing,direction everything is fab. Cant believe this is the writer's first drama-its that good.
Another win for Joo Won..Hope we get to see him in another intense drama..

The Joo won of last few eps is bringing back the feels of his intense character of Baking King Kim Tak Gu..Incredibly intense actor and guess this is why he took this project up.
Till Ep 14 there is no fluff in this..This drama means business

That scene between Min hyeok (kwak shi yang )and Kim Hee sun at end of Ep 14 was so emotional..Acting in this is consistently superb.
One of the unluckiest Kdrama families..
