Not really sold on the actors except Lee seol,Ji soo-only memorable role is SWDBS and he was a second lead who was nice ,,But premise looks fascinating,
Just rewatched this again for the 5th time and wow ,it never ceases to entertain. The beautiful mix of a soothing writing, beautiful soundtrack and great natural acting works for me everytime..Am mystified why this drama never got popular as it deserved to be Rain,Krystal have beautiful chemistry in this and i am liking L as well in this rewatch..Its like a beautiful romance melodrama with a dose of freshness in scenes
I don't usually go by MDL ratings for my drama choices as sometimes very good shows get overlooked but have to…
Most of the big dramas esp.in networks like Netflix, TVN,JTBC have great prodn values..Even SBS ,Kbs shows like Are you Human, too and Eternal Monarch ,Alice etc.have high production values.
More on your thoughts regarding how it transpired post Ep 10,I think it raised the stakes for the couple a lot..In a good way. Kdrama endings don't always seem well written or are kept open but its subject to interpretation I guess. Its still far better than those Chinese dramas which keep giving flashback after flashback just to fill the episodes.
This is the first drama I've looked forward to seeing flashbacks in .The way they showed them was beautiful

Thanks for sharing this..It a great post of the writer. I came to the drama slightly spoiled as I started watching it after it aired but it kept surprising me still.
I guess i gotta be the party pooper again...I think the drama is overrated since it feels like the first episodes…
I don't usually go by MDL ratings for my drama choices as sometimes very good shows get overlooked but have to say this show is where everything -Fans,critics and normal watchers have aligned favorably-and as per me,this universal praise is quite well deserved The premise was strong but pretty unheard of in Kdramas and it it possible some people feel keeping a happy ending and LJK not being a psychopath or serial killer spoils that strong premise ,but as the overall comments show, viewers were generally down with how things transpired mostly. You note it is far better than other Kdramas out there.. so I guess you've liked it too
It seems to me that Actress who plays Main Woman character is soft for this role.
Respectfully disagree that she is soft for the role.U get that feeling once you see the feminine face but her acting in the tough scenes is superlative and heartwrenching,if u see the drama Moon Chae Won first surprised me with this immense strength in her acting in The Princess Man which is another tale of star crossed lovers. In this, she took it up a step further.
I was unsure about this drama because I hate when there are lies in a drama (that is why I usually avoid gender…
U need to see the drama to really understand the epicness of romance in Flower of Evil..It is one of best in recent years..The feels in that show are superlative
This is full of great OTPs. Some u can add are 1. Coffee Prince 2. Flower of Evil (Current Hot fave) 3. Moonlight drawn by clouds 4. The princess man 5. DOTS (esp 2nd pair) 6. City Hunter 7. Tale of Nokdu 8. Angels last mission :Love 9. My girlfriend is a gumiho 10. Scent of a woman
Am a huge Lee Dong Wook fan and am surprised it took me so long to start watching this.. The terminal illness theme kept me away so far.. Am halfway through and this is utterly captivating so far.. There is a lightness of touch in even the most melodramatic scenes so far.. Awesome classic Kdrama .
That's honesty so true! The drama could have been expanded more. It left us off hanging at the end :/
Thats the only complaint I have from Kdramas..Sequels where they should happen don't happen mostly. But now the trend is changing i think (eg.Stranger 2)
Also, the mandatory military training must play a role in this.. Some kdramas I've seen ended badly.just because the lead guy had to go to military (Eg.Bad Guy)

I'd recommend Lawless Lawyer,Scholar Who Walks the night
