By Ep 13 they have entered The Omen territory .Am just thinking the Writer/PD and actors must have really had fun playing around with so many themes from sci fi,time travel, fantasy and now Horror
This show is the "Greatest Hits " of all things time travel and Sci fi..and i mean in a good way .Am upto Ep 9 and they have referenced almost many superb ones like Back to the future, About time,Nine ,Terminator,The Lake house, Star Wars (father and son) , The Matrix (agent smith vibes ) so far 0ne of the shows that really deserve its long length and the creators have tried to entertain us to the max extent possible The scene where Min Hyuk finds what happened to his GF and about Jin Gyeom being his son was so emotional
train, circle, and duel say hello we're great scifi HAHA
Agree that too much of the same main theme induces fatigue but if you see time travel and Kdramas are a pretty solid winning combination And these writers have been trying to keepn things fresh with their ideas Btw,try watching Tunnel -a show not as weĺl known as Signal but far more entertaining as per me
Upto Ep 8 one of the strongest sci fi shows so far. Love the way each ep starts with a quote on time So entertaining, difficult to stop watching once you have started it .
The scene at end of ep 7 is pure kdrama magic..Must be one of the most beautiful emotional scenes filmed ever..Seeing both Tae Yi and Jin Gyeom as kids and his mom together was so unexpected but fulfilling..
Am not getting at all the hate for this show so far till Ep 7.Its a mysterious and very well made thriller exploring lots of complex theories. Those small doses of comic scenes (esp the music bit) are so funny.

I never spoke about Signal as i dont think its Sci fi but fantasy..Yes,it took the basic idea of Frequency. However,am not sure which good american movie you can compare Are you human too with except spielbergs AI which was an entirely diff story. Korean writers have not traditionally been original and some of older dramas are remakes of Japanese Mangas but they have made pretty good original ones in recent years Also the stories they adapt get a very distinct Korean flavor even if remade.
Just started this after a lot of waiting and am blown away by Ep 1..Fantastic acting esp by Kim Hee Sun and Joo Won..The action seemed so good and the emotions felt very real..

Nine was one show i couldnt stop once i started.Lovely to see it on Netflix
One of the most beautiful family kdramas
Somehow,I found Signal so dark ,i had to drop it midway. It kept me off mostly all serial killer dramas until i saw tunnel
And these writers have been trying to keepn things fresh with their ideas
Btw,try watching Tunnel -a show not as weĺl known as Signal but far more entertaining as per me

Joo Won is not suited for ordinary romcoms.Intense dramas is what he does best
