Just done with ep 12/32 and the shows keeps getting mysterious.The female lead finally faces the truth about the real reason Jang Yoon got involved with her ! Song Jae Rim(Master Nam) never appeared more charismatic than he does on this show..Kudos to his stylist here.
One of the best and fresh feeling romcoms in recent times.Yoon Hyun Sang and Kim Yoo Jung were one of the best OTPs as per me.Beautiful visuals as well-the show feels like a comic book come to life Awesome songs throughout.The show IS VERY Underrated.
Am slightly late in the eps and just finished ep 9/32.Yeon Woo Jin is just slaying it in this role.His expressions that change from sweet to creepy in a minute are a treat to watch. Kim Se Jung as the clueless female lead is just awesome. The romance is developing for sure. Truly awesome OST songs.
I had been sleeping on this show for a lot of time now in spite of many good comments ,mainly due to poor ratings After watching it in 1 go,I find this was very underrated - it had a very positive attitude and outlook and attempts to navigate school life-I was reminded of many of my school year incidents watching this Lee Won Keun is THE STAR as per me - one of the best male leads ever ! He had many great qualities and a few issues -which get resolved as he finds friendship and then love with Eunji.The Lee Yeol and Kang Eun Do OTP wins itself a great place in my fave OTPs. JI Soo was also very good and they tried adding a triangle mid way but there was no chance he could or even wanted to rock the OTP Ship.The friendship between the 3 reminded me of another great freindship I saw in " My Beautiful Gong Shim" between the male leads and the female lead. I have always seen Chae Soo Bin in nice roles and seeing her here as the villain was a bit different Still,as the show ended,it showed a very good world -in which toppers and underacheivers co exist on friendly terms,the villains change /reform and almost everyone looks out for the good in others Utopian,yes but a very good feeling as the show ended. Finally,watch this in Netflix.the experience is amazing!

Teacher Yang was played by Kim Ji Suk,one of the more handsome korean actors and who doesn't actually need these father figure type roles-maybe that was the reason
Many excellent things on show but the ending was underwhelming for me. Bi Dan knew that her mother was someone else but never got to know if was Yeon Min Jung -i wanted the villain to face her nemesis in her own child and then maybe redeem herself. Apart from that ,the show was excellent makjang - and kept me captivated over its entire run of eps. Characters I liked -Jang Bo Ri ,Lee Jae Hwa, Bi Dan ,Moon Ji Sang (he was the actual hero as per me ) and Song Ok Soo Persons I disliked were the villain and others who let themselves be manipulated by her. If you like underdog stories ,you would like this.
I don't think it is possible. ( In entertainer (tantara) there is no kiss scene, I think, may be age difference…
I am not a proponent of kiss scenes and actually like the understated romance in these dramas. Still, there were many kiss scenes between Kim Rae Won and Park Shin Hye in Doctors -an sure there was a good age diff there too. Guess the call is with the writers /PD
Given how ALM make 50% of the viewers mad with how the ending was written clearly tell which one of the two show…
Good that this drama worked for you. For me ,if I watch a tragedy drama,I would like to know it beforehand rather than to expect a happy ending and then be given these kind of endings. Since you seem to dislike Angel's last Mission : Love , which is an opposite to this show in the way it is heartfelt and acted earnestly versus the brilliant artwork ,budget ,but ultimately cold and superficial acting and writing shown here , I guess we can agree to disagree. I can get the ending of Mr.Sunshine/Gaksital or other historical shows which have to show as it ended but fantasy genre is not a historical document and has enough potential for creative writing. I do not have anything against the show -and had actually looked forward to it- but my major issue is with the writing - to me it just seems the Hong Sisters have stopped putting any heart or thought about viewers in their stories compared to their earlier works and guess the tactic works for them as they string along viewers for a happy ending which they didn't deliver -2 times in a row now- they ,advertisers ,TVN are happy with the ratings.The only losers are viewers ,but guess they don't matter finally.
I am quite sure that people who spent nearly 18 hours watching this drama would have liked a happy ending.
Shows that end like this make me reallyappreciate Angel's last mission :Love more -they pulled out a happy ending from a near impossibility -an unmatched feat in recent Korean fantasy dramas which somehow seem to enjoy giving us cruel endings .. Shows an utter lack of regard for viewers from the writers -we got the ratings,now viewers can go to hell in the end
I quit this drama after Ep 1 and wanted to wait for the ending as was burned heavily by the ending of Hong Sisters (writers ) last drama Hwayugi /Korean Odyssey.From the ending as mentioned in the comments ,I will now make sure to skip all Hong Sisters dramas (fantasy or otherwise ) which is a shame as they used to write the best ones (My GF is a Gumiho/Master's Sun) Only solace ,unlike Hwayugi , is that i never really liked or cared for this bunch of actors and there wasn't any attachment to get sad by their ending.
Just started this -upto ep 16 -and am loving the show ! Brings back all the memories of Baby faced beauty and Kim Tak Gu and the underdog struggles. Really love the Oh Yeon Seo and Kim Ji Hoon Otp.Why is KJH not getting more lead roles recently? He ticks all the boxes of the perfect Kdrama ML in this for me.. Also some of the other couples are funny too. Finally started this after watching " A place in the sun " and this is turning a much more satisfying watch.
Swdbs was hella funny and fluffy but even tho it's on my toplist there were a lot of holes and superfluous scenes/characters…
Well-for me the additional characters in SWDBS were quite fun like the gangsters and their troubles after facing Don bong soon.. (except the gay company executive -served no purpose to the story whatsoever) I think she'll write to the point -her writing in "Miracle we met " was quite bang on !
