FZ was friend, saviour, teacher, elder brother figure, and the one who told him it's all right to want to live and have a new life. I don't think it's so much that TLC was raised as a killer that bothers him, but the implication that he too will die or be discarded once he fulfilled his purpose. It's like when you tell a person that "You don't have to be who you were yesterday." Such a simple sentence but full of meaning for the one hearing.

I'm watching Ep.31 raw but LYX deserves multiple awards for that crying/grief scene.

FZ is his white moonlight. His attachment to FZ goes on many levels.

Oh god. That lone flute playing during a certain scene in Ep.31 is too heart-wrenching....

I think she's tired of being humiliated, lowly, and powerless. So she decided she's going to get what she wants no matter the harm to others. LY's speech to her hit every sore point she has.

It's easy to dismiss an assassin as a mere killer. But SLH is much more than that.

If anyone understands TLC's desperation to revive FZ, it would be SHL who sold himself to become an assassin. These two are hopeless.

SLH is such an underappreciated character here. The way he reins in TLC speaks of a lot of trust and understanding.

Xi Fang Tao and Puzhu's friendship is interesting. She deliberately took herself and him out of the battle without implicating herself. Smart woman.

Ep.30: LY and TLC reminiscing about the past is really touching. But the peak is when he tells LY to shut up! XD so many of us felt that urge when LY starts ranting.

Acting well requires one to take on difficult roles to improve, but not everyone wants to expend effort for it. This role gives a good spotlight on the actress and hopefully opens doors for her.

Many shun costume dramas so I can see why some actors refuse to star in them.
