Yeah I know what you mean. Often mini-dramas are just as good as the big budget ones. These days I steer clear of hyped dramas with a lot of promotion because they don't live up to expectations

Saw 1 ep only then life got in the way. GJM has a very distinctive style that I like and he's really good at getting the best out of his actors/budget. I'll have to watch FoF soon.

Popularity level and investment level isn't the same thing though. Sometimes there are insiders who post info but often you can guess when a drama airs. That said, many small budget dramas achieve success with good actors and a good team behind them.

Tang Rou's death didn't hit hard. Maybe it's the actor being young or he died too early in the drama so I can't feel much for this character's death. Even though he was a cute one.
