One issue that is not explained properly in the drama is why ML is sooo attached to this fake family. I can understand him being vulnerable to the woman who looks like his mother back in the real world, but he keeps crying and clinging to his supposed father and brothers. For most of the first half of this series, we rarely see or hear any thoughts by XMM. There are many transmigration dramas lately and all make a point of showing the difference between the original character and the new body/character they're inhabiting. This drama doesn't unless the System steps in. Is ML being brainwashed? Indication says no because of the monologue he speaks at the end of Ep.18, which also doesn't make sense as it's the first time he's referring to the "real XQS". This self-flagellation is unnecessary and feels very melodramatic.
The scriptwriter should have done a better job instead of having viewers trying to guess and piece together the narrative.
Many scenes are not filmed properly, this drama is the first time I've many complaints towards the director, like…
I'm not sure what happened behind the scenes of this drama. Whether the director was trying a new style or something, but the end result falls short of viewers' expectations. I've watched dramas where more than 10 episodes were cut and their scenes transition and narrative are better.
I have to agree with those who said ML cries hysterically and crawls on the ground too often. The scenes are not framed properly, the two actors who play the brothers are not that good at acting either, so the supposed empathy for ML's pain falls flat especially with the way the scene drags on.
Uh... internal energy is a precious thing. Like a teacher gives it to his prized student or one person gives it to his lover. There wasn't enough justification for two sect leaders to give it to ML. Maybe if it was the end of the world or there was a strong enemy. This is deus-ex-machina
& they introduce them like they're gonna be very important in the story and bam the next moment they die 🤣
Yeah. Even if they are going to die later, they should be properly introduced and then die like after 2-3 eps. The way this drama is using its supporting cast is like Star Trek and its "Red Shirts".
The scriptwriter should have done a better job instead of having viewers trying to guess and piece together the narrative.
