Agree on all those points. What frustrates me, and other viewers too judging from the comments here, is the knowledge that this drama could have been very good. Instead it's like a jigsaw with missing pieces and we as viewers are trying to piece together the overall image.

Yeah. I'd expect some scenes and time spent on their reunion as siblings and to process their feelings. Instead it was brushed off. TF looked like she was talking to a stranger, not her half brother whom she risked her life to save. Both the scriptwriter and director are lacking.

I saw it. They made the ML explain this to cover up for the fact that the scriptwriter and director didn't show it during the actual events. A good writer would drop hints, it's called Foreshadowing.

One of the men standing before ML's brother specifically said "Your father did so you can't change it". Either way it is pretty stupid because Sects earn money from leasing their lands and from protection money.

Believe me, I agree with what you said and the other comment. But the point is we shouldn't have ylto guess and make up our own theories over what happened. The scriptwriter should be doing their job.

TF's father got a woman pregnant and then abandoned her for power in his sect. There's no way to sugarcoat his selfishness. I'd be pissed too if I was LSF.

I think if it wasn't for Cheng Yi, no one would be watching this drama. It has too many inconsistencies and not a high enough production standard.

How did ML clear the mission when he didn't complete no.3 which was to redeem LSF?

This is the issue when the script isn't up to par and the director doesn't seem to able to maintain a cohesive narrative. Viewers are left to guess when the drama should be the one doing it.
