Way too highly rated cdrama. Very pretentious acting, not a very interesting story, it's all over the place, bad dialogs, and little character chemistry. The dialogue is very awful, so childish. 55 episodes of this is way too much.
wait, so is it open ended? Because if it is I am not going to watch it because I saw that s2 is going to have…
Yes, it ends on a cliffhanger. Good drama, but they shouldn't have ended season 1 as they ended knowing the fans have to wait 4-5 years, pointless IMO.
Only watched because of Esther Yu, comical persona. This drama is a lot of nonsense, it's quite badly written, not a very interested story. But it's a watchable drama.
Two questions:How strong is the "light romance"?And are the main female leads annoying?
The romance is fine, subtle, understandable. They are two people that go through something together and understandably become closer together. It doesn't mean this is a romance drama, but more like the romance is portrayed in such a manner it is a subtle consequence of their circumstance, just like they are scared and such. I found the romance not that important, but it was fine for those who want to have some romance, but it's fine also for those who don't care about romance.
I have to agree with you in that 9 is a bit too high but actually I found the last part rushed. The episode with…
I didn't like the ending, because there was no marriage or wedding. The whole drama was all about her getting married to him, and they didn't even show it. What a mess.
Finished part 1, so dropped it on episode 39. Just too much boring dialog about nothing, and the chemistry between the leads isn't there, and I just don't know what the story is about really, there is no storyline I feel like.
@ Arnia yep 10/10 for me making up for your 8.5 rating. 👍👍👍
I finished last night, it was a good drama, but it's not some masterpiece. Story of Minglan is so much better, it's a 10/10 for me, but Love Like The Galaxy isn't that good. Also compared to Zhao Lu Si's other drama this year, Who Rules The World, LLTG is not as good. I've watched so many dramas so I can differentiate better how good they are relative to each other.
This masterpiece is not even less than 10/10, it is truly priceless. I haven't even been able to move on from…
The last 15 episodes are not fun to watch, too dark. The first episodes were humorous, and there were lots more interesting characters and a lot of more interesting interactions between all those different characters. But for the last 15 episodes the humor has vanished and there are much fewer characters, and the story is very singular, there are no side-stories or side-characters, just a single linear dark story now. The only new characters are the ones that get tortured and killed during a single episode. Not saying the drama is bad, it's just not deserving of 9.0, more like 8.5.
Amazing drama. It shows a glimpse into the chaos that existed in China during that period, but it doesn't go much into history or politics, rather focuses on the students of the military academy during that turmoil. Great acting, great story, high quality drama, and very human.
It's easy to watch, and sometimes people just enjoy something like this. Sometimes the best dramas are too heavy…
Well, it's a family drama, with dramatic situations, but also comedy, romance, etc. Overall it's lighter than dramas like Big Mouth (prison violence and such), or where people are killed off and such. For me it's a light drama because although it's dramatic it's not violent and dark.
