Great article. Yes I have dropped series, but I dislike doing it. I try to finish everything I start, even though I return to it much later to finish (maybe months or a year). But sometimes the series you've dropped and resumed are actually awesome, I love when that happens.
Sometimes I dropped too early before it got interesting.
One example is Secret Garden, it only got interesting half-way thru the series.
Although season 1 was great, I think season 2 is in many ways better. I don't know why the rating for s1 and s2 are so different. Season 2 had awesome great battles. The battle in the valley was so epic, and so rememberable. And the Fu Zi sage master really came into play. The whole deep meaning of everything got explained, and it's a great thought.
Surprised by the great ratings. I've finished 32 episodes and I'm not feeling very strongly about this drama, it's just barely watchable. Honestly, the FL is ignorant and silly throughout, not funny, and not very interesting at all. I don't find the whole story interesting at all, feels like I'm sitting on those little trains made for 3 yearolds going in circles.
Great dramas (both 1 and 2). The ML actor change was difficult to overcome, but was glad to see the entire story despite it. Very deep thoughts. But I didn't understand the ending.

I prefer romance being part of the story, and I find women characters being the best in historical dramas. Just my preference. Doesn't have anything to do with discrimination, I'm a guy that prefers FL characters. Male characters can bore me.
how about the subtitle? i watch from wetv and they have a bad subs..
They are excellent on Viki. Bad subtitles can really ruin dramas. I have seen bad subtitles for these pirate videos and I've seen good subtitles for legal sites like Viki, and it's just not comparable. Pay for quality.
It came back on Viki, and I had been waiting for it. I decided to watch it and finished last evening. What a great drama.
I believe missing from the actors list is the first mistress (evil and insane) of Gu Ting Ye. She played a significant role and is such a memorable character because of her over the top portrayal of a wicked, evil and insane woman that just doesn't care about anything.
