I think the series description says it all, it's a search-and-rescue kind of series. Honestly I don't find this series engaging so far, I'm pausing quite often just to check the laundry, do the dishes etc. 7.6, hm... I don't think it's very harsh. I think these kind of dramas can be naturally boring for most people. Might only watch 2 episodes and then drop.
I'm not a Robot, Strong Woman Do Bang Soon, Hotel Del Luna, True Beauty, Boys Over Flowers, Flower of Evil, Goblin, Korean Odyssey... just a few kdramas with super good OST.
Thinking of dropping this halfway thru, it's like wading through syrup. So much time allocated for the "e sports" thing, and you don't even know what it's about or don't care really. The relationship part between the two leads gets like 3-5 min per episode and is very shallow and doesn't go anywhere. I feel like the funniest moments between the leads are over and just melodrama is left.
Gonna keep watching. The cartoon stuff.... I hope the characters don't become side characters, the cartoon stuff should only be some pepper.... not the salt.
Love Bae Suzy, great in Vagabond, While you were sleeping. But this series, Start-Up, is from start a let down. Series should be engaging, but it's not very engaging to watch people doing start up business paperwork and do business meetings and discussing business plans. I give up on this, dropped half-way thru.
I am currently watch this drama too.I highly encourage you to look at the character introductions here https://dramapanda.com/2018/12/character-introductions-story-of-minglan.htmlAnd…
Thanks. I dropped this series, found it not engaging enough, too dry for me.
Yea, I prefer Mr. Queen, it is much more engaging and much better production.
Go Princess Go is obviously low budget, and very goofy, you only really see handful of actors, there aren't even any palace guards... and the emperor and empress travel alone through a wood without any escort... which you never ever see in other palace dramas where they have like dozens of servants chasing them. But in a way it gives it a certain mystic charm.
I don't know if I will finish this series, I'm about halfway through. I think for a low budget series this one is too long and drawn out. Better if they kept it about 20 episodes at 25 min each.
If you liked Mr. Queen and think this is a interesting series to watch, I'd recommend just skip watching it. There are plenty better series out there to spend time on.
Started watching because so highly rated and recommended. But I'm 10 episodes in and there's hardly anything happening. I'm still even confused who the leads are, new characters being introduced like every 5 minutes, and I can't differentiate between who is who, so I am not able to keep track. Will this get better?
Her not seeing A-li was not up to her. The Heavenly court had their grips on him and still didn't recognize her…
I understand that was the case. Maybe the writers could have conveyed this better.
I think A-li wasn't forbidden to see her, Baiqian went to sleep for 3 years, so she wasn't able to meet her son. They met up in the mortal world for the first time since Ye Hua died, and I think it should have more emotional.
Don't read if you haven't watched and don't like spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!!
What I found peculiar is how the relationship between mother and son, Baiqian and A-li, was after she discovered she was actually A-li's birth mother.... felt like it didn't change at all. Before, Baiqian considered him just as a lovable step-son who called her mother. But I would have thought that after getting her memory back her birth-motherly love-instincts would have kicked into high gear, but there didn't seem to be much change how she treated A-li, and didn't even see him for 3 years after Yeahua died. Very strange.
Beautiful and epic drama, with a lot of stratagems, plot twists, and a lot of emotions and love. It's long, but…
Although, what bothers me a lot about this series is stupidity, like 2 people are talking together but can't seem to spit out the most urgent important necessary information to save everyone and themselves... makes me grind my teeth. Like they get interrupted when one is just about to say something EXTREMELY important, and then it doesn't get said and stupid actions follow.
Watched this series twice, it's one of my all-time-favorite series I've ever watched. Such a strong story, great and awesome characters and acting, if anyone asks me "what's your favorite series?" I'd say this one is. The production quality is awesome, the clothing, environment, and everything, so great.
