Beautiful and epic drama, with a lot of stratagems, plot twists, and a lot of emotions and love. It's long, but if you binge watch this it's easy to watch since it pulls your mind into this world. Only thing I thought was a con was sometimes I felt like I was watching a stage theater performance, especially for the secondary characters.
Well made, but I gave up mid-way, because there's no clear lead protagonist I feel like that I can cheer for or be interested or attached to, this is more like a story of events, although a pretty well made series. Other sageuk dramas like Empress Ki, Dong Yi, Queen Seon Duk, etc. all have clear lead protagonist.
It's a slow burn drama, just engaging enough to watch. I'm on ep 13th and I'm getting a bit bored. The 2nd lead…
Just finished. Not quite sure what I watched, more like a slow burn drama about some group of people going through things that are not all that engaging for the viewer. Did not enjoy it fully, but it was still alright.

Oh my, she's a brilliant actress. Watched Lie after Lie and found her amazing in that role as a broken down mother. Then (without knowing she was in that series) I watched My Father is Strange as the next series after Lie after Lie, and what a difference in character acting, it took me a few episodes to realize it was the same actress. The series are only 3 years apart, and honestly I found her to look younger in Lie After Lie that was 3 years later. I find it strange to find such pretty actors at her age, while most persons can get to look quite old at that age, I thought she was maybe around 30.
Started watching because of high rating. In middle of first episode I was considering dropping this series because I found it too be too much of a "sitcom". But I decided to finish it and finished the second episode as well, and now I'm on the 14th episode and I'm happy I decided to continue with it. It's a light family type sitcom series, easy to watch.
Ok I finished. It's difficult to rate this series, but I gave it 9.5 even though I wasn't happy with the ending, I thoroughly enjoyed this series.
I understood why the ending was as it was but I still wanted a better ending for the ML and FL.
They basically went down a rabbit hole, only to find another rabbit hole inside that rabbid hole... they could never really avenge things or find a true culprit, everyone, the whole system is corrupt.
But I wonder if the finale allows for a conclusion movie or something, although I doubt there will be one. The only way to win in that fight is not to play.
Finished the 10th episode. It's an okay series, but I don't feel any fireworks going on. Some of the scenes feel hurried and tone deaf. The story, the backstory, feels a bit messy and chaotic, and the second lead pair (with their strained relationship) are not really interesting for me.
But somehow I keep watching. Luckily there's only 2 episodes per week, so I can snack on this slowly whenever I feel like watching something like this. If all episodes were available I'd probably have dropped the series 5-6 episodes in.
Feels like the rest of the series will revolve around the _fans_ accepting the "anti-fan" as his girlfriend, but not probably before we see her running away somewhere and him chasing after her throwing his career away or something. Probably a very similar type of ending as My Secret Romance (which I did really like!!)
Took me ages to finish, put on hold for a long time when I had 3 episodes left, just wasn't drawn into it anymore. But decided to finish it. It's not as bad as I remembered, but lead chemistry wasn't perfect, just good enough. If you like this kind of fantasy story I think Goblin is the best one there, after that maybe Korean Odyssey.

One of the best "mother + daughter" kdramas out there.
