Only watched first two episodes so far and wasn't impressed. I've watched the korean version, Boys over flowers, two times already and I really enjoyed it... I felt the main cast was much better in Boys over flowers.... at least I'm just comparing the first two episodes where the characters are established. But I'm a kdrama fan so I'm probably biased.
I liked this series, I don't know why people dislike scifi so much here. Sure it's kdrama, but not all kdrama has to be the same. It's a bit different, more action packed, scifi. It's the same with Eternal Monarch series, it has similar scifi stuff and wasn't well received, but because I like scifi stuff I did like it a lot.
Different from what I was hoping. I was hoping for more comedy, and maybe some romance. But it's a pure coming-of-age drama movie, and that may be interesting to some but I didn't have much fun watching it.
I really enjoyed this series. Yoon Eun Hye is as awesome as ever. I don't think it deserves a low rating, although it can get a little drawn out some episodes. I felt like it had too many characters with side stories, which didn't get fully explored. So while the main story with the main leads is great, as soon as it delves into the side story characters it gets a little boring.

I've been watching some of these old series, and many have pretty good songs. I especially like the soundtracks in Full House, and also Boys over flowers has one of the best soundtracks. So no, I don't think age is a big factor since old series do have good soundtracks, just not My Girl.
Some scenes were ok and funny, but overall it was difficult to finish this series as it became a choir to watch the episodes. The female lead was the only thing worthwhile to watch in this series, but everyone else was quite stiff and I didn't find there was much chemistry in this series. You won't miss much by skipping this series, there are plenty other ones more interesting.
Finished the series. I love it. It's one of my all time favorite series. So sweet and so lovely and most importantly, it's hilarious, the comedy is neverending. I fyou liked romance, sweetness and comedy then you'll like this.
It's fine, but didn't totally love it. The soundtrack is just bad, same outdated songs on repeat throughout the series... almost made me want to mute it. But the story alright and it has its moments. Honestly I watched Sweet 18 before watching this, and Lee Dae Hae was also in that series but as the antagonist. So I kind of compared the two series, and I liked Sweet 18 ten times more than My Girl.
I'm half way through and wow... what a great series, hilarious and sweet. I had NO EXPECTATIONS when I started watching this. I was just trying out old series that are not in good video quality and despite that this is giving me a good laugh, and proper rom drama. But sure it's getting a bit dated, and I agree with some here that maybe they should make a remake of this. Maybe the title could be different, maybe "Immature Wife" or "Obsessed Wife" or just "Obsessed" or something... Sweet 18 a bit generic and doesn't give an idea what it's about. I barely knew what the series was about, just read like a 2 liner about it. If you find it in good video quality I still recommend watching this.
Brilliant space action movie that rivals even the best hollywood scifi movies. Superb special effects, good story, nice mix of international actors and kick ass action. A mix of Firefly, Star Wars, Expanse.
The problem is a lot of us watched it years ago and it was kind of a "whoa this is different from Western TV"…
I agree with the cinematography point. It's strange how slow koreans were to adapt modern cinematography, this series is from 2010 which isn't very old to be honest. I've watched American produced tv shows from 2000's that had much better cinematography. But honestly, after a few minutes you get used to it, and it does have a certain charm to it as well.
