I think is because there is only 1 ep/day. before this everything was good and connected but now 45 min pass too…
My problem was more of fast paced and I don't think even watching it together will change that opinion like
ep 23: they kissed, she ran away and he became silver gong but we didn't see much of character's reaction to these events and it just happened and we moved on
Ep:24 he suddenly died, his fellow guardians went to take revenge, he resurrected on the same ep and asked no2 to tell them he is alive
Plus FL and his brother doesn't even know what happened

I think i am feeling this way because i am too much invested in each side character which is very rare because i usually don't enjoy side stories much in other shows but this show is exception so when we skip their reaction to certain events, it feels fast.

yeah even his promotion to silver gong was underwhelming.
I think it's because novel is too long so they are adapting important parts only. Otherwise every character is so good that i can watch this story in a decent pace. We can see the reaction of others when he becomes silver Gong and I can even watch him training or in this ep, i was waiting for certain character reactions for what happened to him but they glossed it over quickly. Still love it but i hope they slow down a little because i am too invested in these characters 😭

Ep 24
Soo i thought first half of this episode was emotional but still less impactful because i knew he will be fine and he was back too soon so it felt like nothing happened except more mystery about who did it or understanding what happened
I am really loving this show but sometimes plot move too fast especially in last 2 episodes, too many things have happened so i feel like certain plot points get overshadowed. This is my only complain otherwise it is such a wonderful show. Xu Qi An has amazing relationship with most of the cast but i adore his relationship with Lord Wei the most. Also Cai Wei is so sweet. I wasn't too big on her but this ep made me her fan too

I really liked this in the starting, so i searched for the novel , then i found the comic of it "Nightwatcher"…
Yeah his death felt sudden and then resurrecting in the same episode made it less impactful for sure so this felt like a filler even though it isn't. I still adore the ep but i can understand if novel readers find it underwhelming

Can someone explain to how xu qi an poem in ep 23 is sarcastic?
Omg this explanation made me appreciate this more. XQA was ruthless but i find this hilarious.

Why is it the fl screen time so little, I would have loved to watch more of her!!
It's a male centric drama so her story is only side plot sadly. Hopefully we will see more of her in future

So true bestie. It's getting tiring.
Funny thing is nobody is criticizing princess lin an character on weibo. All i am seeing recently are prasies of this show for handling female characters well despite being a male centric drama. They are appreciating her arc of growing and exploring which made me realize that this comment section is just loud minority. Most people actually care about romantic development even if it is a side plot and understand her well

Totally agree....there is also love in life...and Xu lives life totally ....and she is so sweet and smart....
Exactly
Why is his love life unnecessary?
Nobody says his family moments are useless even though they are also not for plot purpose but for comedy and wholesome moments then why can't we enjoy romantic moments too?

Everyday i come to this comment section and someone is crying over lin an role in the story and how she is so unnecessary. People had problems with misunderstanding trope which is a valid criticism in my eyes even if i wasn't annoyed by the plot
I can also understand the criticism like "romance is not explored much or rushed" because it is more of male-centric and plot driven drama but slandering her character for no reason even when she is growing and getting characterization is forced hate
This made me realize that some of you are just biased with hate towards her and don't want to admit any good quality about her. Ignoring all characterization and just saying "she is annoying" isn't a valid criticism and actually harsh. All other dramas have fandoms who are busy praising the show even if it is mid but here all i see is negativity. If you don't like her then don't watch her scenes. Why cry everyday about her role?

Ep 23:
Oh my god that firework scene was so gorgeous. XQA encouraging her was very sweet. I wonder if we will see her journey of travelling or that will be skipped
The fighting scenes in this show is so good and fast paced. Character look dirty while fighting which makes it realistic and raw unlike some other shows I watched
Lastly, it's criminal to give us only one episode per day. Every ep especially ep 20 onward was packed but ended with a cliffhanger... It's hard to wait

Can you point to a single moment that Lin An has seen the bigger picture and been selfless in service of others…
How is that complete 180? She barely had screentime in first half of the show and now that we are actually seeing her characterization then that is a problem too because she isn't annoying or selfish like you thought she were in 5 min screentime of each ep (in first half)

Definitely, this drama is being highly underrated. Since its inception, the drama has had a consistent progression,…
Tbh I used to be like this too initially but watching this made me realize that sometimes we have to try things outside of our comfort zone and this was an eye opener for me. Now, i am more in mood to try something similar instead of just romance focused stories (not a bad thing but i want something different after watching this)

Why rating the episodes necessary?
I thought rating for overall show is what counts

majority of international fans of cdrama watch romance stories. To compare with WHD's work, Only For Love is worse…
Ahh makes sense. Is there a cdrama which is more plot-heavy and romance is side plot but still a major hit both domestically and internationally?
I think GOTD is still doing very good in china but i am not sure how well it is doing internationally because it is still ongoing and many are waiting for it to finish and then they will start

I agree, personally I wasn't interested in this show at all especially after trying to watch shows with similar…
Yeah i agree with your comment. I liked it from the start but ep 10 onwards i was completely hooked. It's interesting because I am a new cdrama watcher and this is my first male-centric drama. It surprised me with its quality but i don't see enough discussions about it on different platforms whereas there are some cdramas i watched because of hype of actresses and their cp but the story was mediocre at best. I guess people just love supporting their favorite and don't care about stories much

Am i the only one who thinks this show is kinda underappreciated on this site?
Maybe because it doesn't focus on romance and hype cp content plus more male centric that is not everyone's cup of tea
For me, each ep is so much packed and consistently good. I am amazed how easily it makes me cry and then next moment i am laughing.
Ep 22 spoiler:
I am so glad Grand princess actually cares for Lin'an and the scriptwriters didn't make her evil to show how good FL is. They both are great in their own ways so i hope we see more of them getting closer slowly.
