This was alright. I watched TharnType before this and LOVED it so I immediately watched this and was not really thrilled with the main couple. Their chemistry just seemed so weird to me. As with nearly every bl drama I've watched, the side couple ended up stealing the show. Tin and Can- oh how I loved them and they ended up being the reason why I even bothered to finish this drama. With that being said I hope they get their own spin off because they really deserve it.
In the end as a whole this is not my fav bl drama BUT I would watch the sequel. (kissasian)
Actually, you need to watch the special episode because there Type and his friend Kom meet again, and well, you…
I added anything related to this to my watchlist and will be watching them soon. Thanks for letting me know about Type meeting Kom again. That was really the only part I wished they had talked about more.
It started off well enough but fizzled out at the end. Weird mom with a strong attachment to her own daughter after being horrible treated by her own mother. I thought with the addition of the guy going after the daughter some dirty action would ensue but nope- nothing. I wanted the mom to have an affair with the boyfriend or for the house to be burned down, even someone being injured/ dying would have made this exciting. This was just a whole lotta nothing and I wouldn't recommend it. (dramacool)
This is a combination of two Twilight Zone episodes: The Eye of the Beholder and Number 12 Looks Just Like You. Both go about the physical beauty aspect that humans place on themselves. I like how even though The Twilight Zone tackled this issue 60+ years ago it is still a problem now. The ending had me like O_O well what happened next?! but at the same time it worked/ made sense. (youtube)
Ur first sentence was literally me when I started Tharntype lol. Loved it
I literally have a take home quiz, a presentation to prepare, an upcoming quiz for another class, and CHAPTERS to catch up on yet I'm on here looking for some more bl dramas to watch lol As long as I don't fall off the dean's list I'm fine ^_^
As with any Chinese historical, it took me a while to get into the story. Honestly didn't feel fully invested/ interested until around epi 25+. One thing I must say about this one is that the story is very intricate and you have to pay attention otherwise it's easy to get lost in the story unfolding. Besides the story, the sets and costumes in the drama- A1. Like watching this is pretty much like watching a movie- you KNOW this drama cost a couple bags. Luckily I'm glad the actors were amazing otherwise it would have been a waste. Like serving a Michelin meal on styrofoam plates- just not right. The actors who captivated me throughout were Chen Kun and Zhao Li Xin. Their banter with each other, at least to me, was a major highlight. I wish there was more romance between Ning and Feng but seeing their circumstance- makes sense how things ended the way they did. I recommend this if you love Chinese historicals but those that are on a more serious note and more about the politics than the romance with the leads. (netflix)
I actually enjoyed this drama. I loved how it was a twisted wish come true deal for the students. Reminded me of that Twilight Zone epi where the couple was granted 4 wishes from a genie and every time they wished for something, something bad would happen. Or the tale of the monkey's paw and the same effects it would have for the owner. On the whole, I wish there was more... maybe if the episodes were longer and more in-dept I would have liked it better, but in the end it kinda left me wanting more. Anyways, I recommend it, the story is decent and the acting from some of the actors wasn't too bad. (netflix)
Yea, I understand why people are crazy about this drama but it didn't impress me all that much. It has my number 1 most hated troupe in a drama: weak/ dumb/ useless FL -_- I think I would have liked this more and rated this higher if there was no romance because it really didn't add anything... wait, strike that. It's the FL who added nothing to it and it pissed me off. Other than that, I liked this drama, although it seriously dragged at the end- like they could have shortened it to 20. I would still recommend it just cause the revenge aspect is actually entertaining. (kissasian)
btw the guy playing Bak legit looks like BTS' RM ^_^
Ever come across something that made you so happy you just... sat there...
Well that's me after reading this article. LOVE horror movies and I am so excited there is someone else who will be doing the hard work for me of finding and reviewing them ^_^ lol I've seen some of these already, (Kingdom is so amazing like legit I think it's the best Kdrama I've ever watched and I can't wait for season 2!!), and can't wait for what you recommend next!! If you need some recommendations on what to watch next I could gladly help you there, Asian and American horror movie-wise.
Despite having a massive amount of homework that needs to be done, I put that to the side and binged the crap outta this drama. After one episode I was hooked. I liked that they tackled homophobia but I think they could have fleshed it out more with Type's character but seeing how there is a sequel for this, I guess it will be dealt with then. I mean his friend came out to him and they had a fight that wasn't resolved. The only other thing I didn't like was the amount of violence against Tharn; my baby kept getting assaulted when it wasn't even his fault! I'm just gonna chuck that up as a cultural thing as I do see this ONLY in Thai dramas. The story-line of Tharn and Tar reminded me of Mew and Art and their real life drama. I actually felt uncomfortable while watching that story play out. Anyways I'm glad to see Mew working again and hope to see more of him. The acting was awesome and at times I would forget I was watching a drama- kudos actors! Lets not forget them kiss scenes O_O had ya girl smiling and giggling like a freakin idiot- I enjoyed myself immensely ^_^ I totally recommend this (kissasian)
This wasn't bad but it's definitely not the greatest that some of these reviews/ comments have led on. I know that there are people out there with no experience when it comes to love or even dealing with the opposite sex but in this case it was a bit too unbelievable. The way the characters acted, yea I get this is a drama, but cmon it's too ridiculous. I.e. the main couple is getting along great but then the guy proposes by using a contract -_- like seriously?! Ugh. Anyway, in the end I did enjoy it for what it was so I guess I can't complain much. (dramacool)
I must be one of the few people who didn't like this. Like story made no sense to me. This girl is so disconnected from who she is that she takes on the personalities of her friends? uhh ok *shoulder shrug* The acting was really on point despite the crappy writing. I personally would not recommend this... like I finished it just to see how it would end and even then it didn't satisfy. (dramacool)
This is my personal list and it's my opinion about these "actors" Just because you don't agree doesn't mean it's…
Ok, that line IS harsh but I mean it when it comes to their acting- like deadpan or over acting. I don't know these people personally but their acting is just... just not good.
This sounds so interesting... I'm here for it. Since it's gonna be on Netflix they're probably gonna release it weekly- which I don't care for -_- #letmebinge
