Can someone tell me if the blatant misogyny ever ends? I don't mind if it's part of the plot but doctor guy constantly…
Welcome to the world of Thai drams -_-
On The Fallen Leaf Jan 29, 2020
Loved the social issues this tackled but that's pretty much it. This could have been so much better if they shortened it to 16> episodes. This dragged on for so long that I just became uninterested but continued until the end just to see how it would pan out. If you're starting this, cool- this isn't a bad drama, but once you get to a point where you're tired of ish being dragged out, you can literally watch everything unfold in the last episode. This had so much potential to be so much more but in the end it fell flat. Chris Wu is pretty much amazing in everything he does and was the reason why I even completed this. The only other thing that this drama has going for it is the production- it's visually very appealing.
The story itself needed to be fleshed out more for it to make more sense. Would have liked a bit more backstory for the characters as well as more chemistry between them. I enjoyed it for what is was. It ended in a way that there could be more volumes and if there were, and Chris is involved, then I would watch. (netflix)

I kinda need some confidence here lmao. Is this actually that bad? Or is it kind of watchable?
I'm going to watch it this weekend- F it lol

This kind of list is so insulting. And the description as well, why would you create a list like that? Criticism…
This is my personal list and it's my opinion about these "actors" Just because you don't agree doesn't mean it's "rude" and "offensive" -_-

This is quality trash tv. I just came across it while browsing netflix and decided to watch it- I'm glad I did. This show is so rude and crude that I couldn't stop laughing at just how silly it was. Even so, I still would find myself rooting for these strangers to run off in the sunset after knowing each other all of 3 days lol. The fact that they were just ordinary contestants and not all of them were pretty made it somewhat more enjoyable and seem more realistic. While some of the "dark secrets" were actually really bad, most of them were pretty tame by western standards. Tamura KILLED it by coming up with nicknames for the contestants when their secret was revealed and he would be down right cruel, but then Yaguchi balanced it out by being sympathetic to them (her own history, not being all that pleasant was poked fun of) Would I recommend it? Absolutely! and I would very much so like another season please. (netflix)

" It's what I would imagine what a stage play would look like if became a movie- if that makes any kind of sense…
EXACTLY!! It was that scene I was like I feel like this is a play and not a movie- weird but I kinda like it.

This was good until I believe it was episode 5 when the twist is learned and then things just go to hell after that. At the start I was pulled in as to what was going to happen but then that twist just comes along and the story just became a mess... like nonsensical. I finished it only to see who ends up with who but really, I didn't care lol. If you want some trashy drama to entertain yourself with, this is not the one for you. Yea, it is trashy but not the fun kind. I wouldn't recommend this one. (viewasian)
On Itoshi Kimi e Jan 14, 2020
This was cheesy and a boring watch. Same ol trope of entitled guy falling for sweet, sacrificing girl. Azumi going back and forth with his being nice and wanting Shiki around and to being a straight up ass and dumping her for no reason got tiring real quick. Usually with these older J-dramas they never fail in blowing me away and having me all in my feelings but with this one, I couldn't wait for it to end. I personally wouldn't recommend this. The actual story is pretty shitty but the production value is A1. It's what I would imagine what a staged play would look like if became a movie- if that makes any kind of sense lol It's the only reason as to why I gave it a high rating (7.5). The acting was ok but then again they delivered their lines not like they were actors in a movie but actors in a stage play, it's like a weird difference. I felt like I was watching a Japanese version of some unknown Shakespeare play. Would I recommend this? I found it to be a meh trash movie so take it as you will. (netflix)
On The Dolls with Attitude Jan 8, 2020
This was disturbing, but the good kind. Great social commentary on how people put on facade of how they should be when inside they are a totally different person. It's short and available on youtube so I def would recommend this. (youtube)

Title Mr. X and I
The first story was the best one and it kinda just goes down hill from there. The episodes are short and to the point- which I like. This was an ok watch but nothing astounding. (youtube)
This was meh to me. Iv'e seen other dramas/ movies that have a heavy friendship theme but this was sub-par. I found myself just waiting for it to be over. The story was corny and the acting was cringe. I personally wouldn't recommend it unless you like them cheesy. (dramacool)

First things first- Yoshida is one of my all time fav Japanese actresses and never fails to amaze.

This was a damn good remake that followed the original pretty accurately. Some of the stories were straight up remakes from the original that I remembered watching as a kid (loved these kinds of shows growing up) that had me in tears. The acting was on point but more importantly the music was A1. Set up just like the original with songs from the appropriate time at the start of the epi and a song fitting the mood at the end. I absolutely love it when Asian dramas use music to create an even more dynamic atmosphere instead of just "filling space". Def recommend this one. (kissasian)
On The Sound of Your Heart Jan 4, 2020
This was incredibly funny but at times I found myself straight up vexed with the characters. This is not a show that I personally could just binge through- small doses is enough for me. That said, I do recommend this as it's actually really dumb funny. (netflix)
