After watching episode one on Viki and reading all the comments on mydramalist, I have decided Not to watch this. It seems like there are way too many odd issues going on and I have better things to do with my time. I’ll look for a better historical drama, although I think I have watched almost all of them. Maybe it’s time to start re-watching a few.

To be honest, I really liked this drama until episode 14. The last few episodes really dragged and the music didn't help. It became almost a different story. I thought the actors were good, but it became very anti-climatic, predictable and somewhat boring towards the end. I felt they could have done a much better job regarding the story development at the end. It was slow-paced and I was disappointed the last three episodes, but I still gave it an 8 out of 10 rating.

I liked the entire drama-definitely worth watching! I was never disappointed. The ending was good--I like that it left you thinking about what just happened! Good plot development, beautiful costumes and really "authentic" cinematography. Still sticking to my 9.5 rating out of 10. I wouldn't hesitate to start this--totally worth it!

I'm about half way through the episodes and loving this drama. I didn't really like the first episode or two because I thought there was going to be too much wuxia, and now I want to binge-watch it--but it's 66 episodes! I'm glad there are this many episodes--I just hope the last half of the drama is as good as the first half. So far, I'm rating this 9.5 out of 10. Great story line, costumes and cinematography.

I am still watching "Legend of Yun Xi" on youtube (YoYo Television video). In my previous comment, the episode 30 translation was a mess but member “crazyformovies” kindly encouraged me to keep watching and episodes 31 to 33 were much better. I really don’t know what’s going on with the translations, but now episodes 34 and 35 are also a mess again. It’s almost better to just turn off the subtitles and guess what they are saying. Everyone has different names. They are calling someone a nephew who should be a niece (several times). Han Xi is being called Han Han, the Poison Mster is changed to “the old man.” About halfway through episode 35, there is a statement about “the palace machine recommends...” Machine?? It is just nonsense and these are only a few examples.
Anyway, as much as I want to keep watching, I will give this a little more effort and then I will just give up until there might be a better translation some day. Sorry, but it is so frustrating.

I have been watching "Legend of Yun Xi" on youtube (YoYo Television video). I have really liked it all the way to episode 29. Now I am on episode 30 and the translation has changed into "mumbo jumbo" and I can hardly understand what is going on. I'm not sure if they changed translators (obviously they changed something) or exactly what is going on, but I'm at the point I don't even want to watch it any more. I am sad because I would really like to finish it. I love historical dramas.

the Dramacool website you list here is very confusing. I see a recap but cannot figure out how to actually watch this drama. Searches and links don't seem to be working.

.Good drama. Interesting to watch the difference between the happy robot and the negative twin human. Mother's role could have been better developed. I kept wondering about how realistic the "feelings" between the robot and his girlfriend could be. I thought the ending was good!

I was satisfied with the ending. I would recommend this drama as worth watching. It gives you a lot to think about. Enjoy!

I cannot use MDL (Mydramalist.com) any more Because when I click on the different dramas it always takes me to advertising scream because I looked at a T-shirt one time. Now it won’t let me look at the dramas and reviews! I am so disappointed in this new website. It’s too bad they changed it!

This was a good drama. I liked the last half the best. The facts seemed to be accurate if you pay attention to that sort of thing in your historical dramas. At one point it reminded me of one of my very favorite movies called “Red Cliff” (1 & 2)
—definitely a must see! The actors were really good and I liked the music. I would recommend to watch this. Enjoy!
BTW, I hate crying, but I did get emotional in a few places throughout the drama. I loved the strategies, and the romances were really good!

I think that one of the best examples of both a woman who is kind-hearted as well as strong in personal and moral character is Xing/Chu Qiao in the drama "Princess Agents." I have watched this drama twice and will probably watch it again before the sequel comes out next year in 2019. I can hardly wait--I really hope that it's as good or better than the first one! Although I hate the scenes with the perverted grandfather of Yuwen Huai (and Yuwen Huai himself), I love the main character Chu Qiao and hope to see more women in dramas portrayed with her type of strength.

Good actors. Held my attention all the way through. Sad but good and ironic, predictable ending. Rated 9.0. Would probably watch other dramas again before this one—something a bit more intriguing like “Bu Bu Jing Xin” (The original “Scarlet Heart,”_ Chinese version), or “Princess Agents,” “Nirvana In Fire.”

There are several really good ones in addition to “Nirvana In Fire.”
I really liked “Bu Bu Jing Xin” (the original Scarlet Heart—my favorite), “Princess Agents,”
“Prince of Lan Ling” was good too.
Also...
“Sound of the Desert,”
“Chuno”

I would love to watch another Chinese drama but I really hate crappy endings and also dramas that lose their momentum half way or the last several episodes! So sadly, I will be passing on this one—unless someone can list some really good reasons to watch.

I didn’t read the book so I can possibly understand that there may have been a lot of details left out of the drama and that is where a few of these negative comments are coming from. BUT, I have to say from the beginning to the end, this drama was so interesting and just got better and better and the last episode was the perfect ending—satisfactory and left you thinking about many things—in a good way! ( I watched the last two episodes three times.) I love the characters, the actors were excellent, the music, the cinematography--everything was great. I did not expect to like this drama as much as they did. In fact I’ve been putting off watching it for a long time. I think the title may have been part of the reason, but once you start watching, you discover why they chose that title. Anyway, I highly recommend watching this drama. I don’t think you will be disappointed (unless you’ve read the book with a lot more detail and feel they have left things out). I am now ready to read the book! I rated this drama 10 out of 10. Enjoy!
