I think Weightlifting Fairy and The Bride of H are the worst dramas by far.
I really did not like The Bride of Haebaek --so emotionless, but it did like Weightlifting Fairy. I wasn't sure if I would like it at first, but it was so cute!
i dropped all of them except strong woman, as for the empress ki don't even think about not watching it just because…
After all these good recommendations for Empress Ki, I'm really feeling like I need to watch it again! (: But it's not on Dramafever or Viki so I have to find a good site to watch it on. Maybe it's on youtube?
I'm honestly getting bored with all of these "articles" where people list all the dramas they dropped or the dramas…
I love reading all the different comments about dramas and movies. I don't always agree, but it's okay to hear different opinions and I often read comments that inspire me to try out something I may not have otherwise. It's all good.
Hi. Thanks for your honest feelings. I agree with at least a few of the dramas you reviewed. I started watching "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" and "While You Were Sleeping," but I could not keep going. "Fight My Way" and "Suspicious Partner" was okay--I loved the actors-- but the last few episodes kept getting slower and slower. I dropped "Bride of Haebaek" somewhere in the middle and tried to start "Mad Dog," but didn't even finish the first episode. I know--I usually try to get through a few more episodes to at least give the drama a chance, but I realize that it seems to be getting harder these days. Maybe, similar to yourself, I have watched too many dramas over the last several years and my tolerance is getting lower since I want to watch only the best of the best! Anyway, I love most of the Asian dramas and have many favorites. I would definitely recommend "Empress Ki" and I could add many to the "historical" drama list. I recently finished "Princess Agents" (now a definite Favorite--watched it twice) and now I feel so lost trying to find something that can compare! A few other favorites you may want to see are... "Bu Bu Jing Xin" (original "Scarlet Heart"--Chinese version--first drama was great, skip the sequel), "Prince of Lan Ling", and one of my favorite outstanding movies (two parts) is "Red Cliff" 1 & 2 by director Jon Woo--sooo amazing (hang in there the first 15 minutes though). Anyway, happy drama watching and I look forward to more of your comments (: Take care.
I just started this drama--on episode 2 now. I love the actors, but I'm going crazy because it is sooo slow. Is the pace going to pick up? because i don't know if I can continue at this slow pace.
I saw this movie sometime last year and absolutely loved it. I think mydramalist lost some of my reviews when they switched to their new system (which I hate all the advertising--sorry, but I really do)! This drama is on my favorites list so my recommendation is to be sure to watch it! I will watch it again for sure.
this drama in not worth more than 7. even the messed up cheese in the trap is way better than this. if this nothing…
I agree that ”Cheese in the Trap” was really messed up, but there’s no way that it was better than Goblin. I agree that 9.1 might be a little too high of a rating, but it seems that a lot of people must have really, really liked it. (:
I find it kind of nice to have kdramas on Netflix! But first of all: I don't have Netflix yet, bit I'm…
Since you mention being a sub-titler for Viki, I have a question that I have been wondering a lot about. Viki does make money and charges for it's subscriptions; so why is it that everyone does the sub-titles for free? I understand that maybe somewhere many years ago fans did it as a hobby. But now, if we're going to be completely fair, why wouldn't these companies such as Viki and Dramafever pay the people it relies on to bring in more income? It just seems totally wrong.
So many negative comments about this :o I for one was so happy to see this on Netflix! I don't get DramaFever…
I'm not sure how I feel about Netflix having Asian dramas. I suppose if they had a lot of them, more people would be exposed to such wonderful dramas, even though I know a lot of people who don't watch sub-titles. (I didn't think I would like sub-titles in the beginning either, but now it's almost all I watch - 90%.) I did watch my very first Kdrama and Cdrama on Netflix and now I'm totally hooked! I am very disappointed in Viki.com because I have been a subscriber for over four years and now they are more than doubling their subscription prices and moving all their popular and new content to the "top level" payees. They also have a lot more advertising that takes over your computer. (I also noticed that kisskh.com also has a lot more invasive, video and irritating advertising recently. It will make me very sad if I have to give it up.) For that reason I am hoping Netflix gets a lot more Asian dramas and doesn't trap everyone like Viki.com.
According to my Netflix (USA) account this drama is not available until June 10. Must be that they are currently…
I prefer watching dramas after they have completed showing and have been subbed in English. That way I can watch as many episodes as I want as I have time (:
I keep checking back or coming across this drama and I still think it is sooo underrated! The storyline and actors are so cute--it's still one of my favorites that I watch from time to time! Nothing is perfect but this is too good not to watch. It has some of my favorite actors. REally, I think you should at least try to watch it--you might be surprised! (I noticed there are more than 18,000 viewers now--there must be some attraction!) Enjoy!
