I was wondering how I missed such a good drama until now. Loved the actors and the storyline was good--through episode 19! That is where it should have ended. The final episode 20 felt like "fluff" and filler. It was boring and I was so disappointed as I watched, because it was such a let down from the preceding episodes (even though the last 2 minutes were somewhat interesting but not done well). It was very hodge-podge, as if someone had to make up an hour-long ending really quickly. My recommendation is to stop at the end of Ep 19 and just pretend there is no Ep 20! You will feel much more satisfied.
Because of the last episode, I rated this 8.0 when it could have been a 9 or 10.
I seriously don't get the low rated reviews here. I have watched this drama three times so far and love it. The actors were great although the storyline was a bit weak and unrealistic I did not like the offending portrayal of Americans nor the mother and daughter living in a small "closet-like" space in a gigantic mansion.
Please someone tell me where can I watch this drama with English sub
Hi Syranus. That's interesting. Please let me know if you have found a way to turn off all of their questionable ads. I have tried kissasian several times on both my PC computer and my iPhone. It consistently stops continually to the point of much irritation! --Take care.
Just finished watching this drama. Watched this 2 years ago July 2015 and again now in April 30, 2017. Loved the lead couple and other actors, and although the storyline is a bit predictable, I didn't get bored at all and enjoyed it to the very end. The music was good and I'm glad I got to see it again. I rated it at least 8.0
I watched this drama a couple of years ago and loved it--especially the main characters (:
I'm excited to start it again now. I'll see if I still feel the same way. I'm sure I will!
I've fallen for him too bad his not that of a great guy in reality :/
Sorry, but I also would like to see proof of your statement. It's important not to mistakenly ruin someone's career.
That said, I like watching all the actors for their cute looks, cute personalities, and many different talents. But the most important trait is their integrity and compassion for others. If there is no true kindness in one's heart, even the "best-looking" people become ugly very quickly.
There's only one word to describe this drama: Disorienting. The cute fluffy romance overshadowed by the dark…
Thanks for your candid review. I started watching this with a lot of expectations since the ratings were so high, but after the first few episodes I just couldn't stay interested (because of many of your above comments as well as others). I hate dropping a drama--once I begin I like to give it a chance, but this will have to be one of them--at least for now. (I liked the actors in the this drama, just not the storyline.)
Ughh the female lead is so pathetic and immature. What kind of a 29 year old professional woman acts so retarded.…
I have to agree that I really don't like it when they make female leads naïve and pathetic. That's the fault of the writers and directors! I do think the actor did a great job with the role she was given though. The rest of the Asian drama world needs to get up to speed with the current century. I like dramas with strong female AND male characters otherwise it gets boring. Don't get me wrong, I don't like either gender to be full of themselves and overdramatic, but I suppose a little bit of opposites is what makes a good storyline. But I still love a story with lots of strong and independent characters (with a little romance and a few surprises thrown in of course)--and most of all a satisfying ending! Take care.
Really a very interesting, cute and satisfying mini series--20 episodes of about 15 minutes each--so about 5 hours altogether. (I must say though, that I really don't like the time format. You just get into the episode and then have to switch to the next one and also forward past the same old intro to every episode--It doesn't make sense to me. Our memories are not that short!)
The actors were perfect and the storyline never once got boring. It definitely had many of the issues of office romance as well as ex-boyfriends. It was funny (hilarious), touching, and rewarding in the end although a bit sad, as real life will be. I would watch this drama over again, probably more than once, if someone was interested in seeing it.
Great job! I rated "Go Ho's Starry Night" 9 out of 10. Take care.

The quality is good once you get into the episode, but I just wish that kissasian.com would cleanup their website. There are way too many weird and undesirable ads, and it's too easy to accidentally click on them. Almost every episode their site crashes and needs to be shut down and restarted--and then you have to go through the pain of finding where you left off and trying to ignore all their ads again! Please clean up your website/ads so we can all be comfortable using your site!!!
This movie had a pretty good storyline. The actors were cute and went well together. The acting needed a lot of help although some of it wasn't too bad. It seemed like it was a B rated movie. Low production cost. I kind of liked it, but probably wouldn't watch it again. Not memorable to me. Very predictable. Unique ending--you must watch all the way to the very end of the credits to see the real ending! Take care.
You are one of my favorite Chinese actresses! I love all the dramas I have seen you in. My first one was "Bu Bu Jing Xin /Scarlet Heart" (although sad to say, the sequel was very sub par--not your fault, but terrible directing and cinematography. It almost didn't seem like the same story)! You also did an amazing job in the drama I just finished--Imperial Doctress. And another one that I loved: Sound of the Desert. I want to watch all of your other dramas soon!
PS Congratulations on your and Nicky Wu's marriage last year. I wish you both all the very best in life!!
Really good drama, but I could have easily skipped episodes 14 & 15--didn't like them at all. I think those could definitely be redone--just a little too weird and crazy and a bit boring, otherwise I made it through all 50 episodes without getting bored! The rest of the drama was worth it though and the ending was good, although it could have been a little more drawn out at the end (another 5 minutes?). I hated to see this drama end, and I watched the last 5 episodes over again! I rated this an 8 out of 10 (I love Cecilia Liu--especially in "Bu Bu Jing Xin" ("Scarlet Heart" - Chinese version_Part 1)).
Why would someone complete only 27 episodes of a 47 episode drama. I would help if I could, but I only know English. Please anyone help to sub Princess of Lan Ling into English. It is quite good. Thank you so much! Take care.
P.S. Please don't tell me how it ends (:
I disagree with #1.... I don't mind tragic endings as long as they are befitting of the entire story arc…
Really good comments. I don't like to watch dramas that seem to be rated by their "tear quotient." If there is a lot of crying and emotion comments, I tend to stay away from those. Although I will say I have seen some excellent dramas that ended tragically, but they were so well done that I would watch them 10 times again. Two that come to mind right away that are favorites are "I'm Sorry, I Love You"--absolutely the best, and "Chuno" --tragic but worthwhile.
(These dramas are listed as tragedies, but I will mark this as a spoiler just in case.)
Take care.

For one of the best Chinese or any movie I have ever seen (seriously!) watch "Red Cliff" --Absolutely intriguing!!
