I'm not the biggest fan of medical dramas but this one was one of the best I've seen. I loved all the characters and the actors were excellent. The last two or three episodes were really good and the last "special" episode (21) was an even more perfect ending! (The selections of music for this drama were also right on--great job!)
For some reason, Korean dramas seem to lose a lot of meaning in their title translation. This title is a somewhat misleading because it seems that it would be mainly about romance (affection), but it is also about "romantic" in a different sense--a dream of morality, searching for truth and reason, and sense of doing the right thing as you live your everyday life.
If you're wondering whether or not to watch this drama, you should definitely give it a try!
I first watched this drama about three years ago and have re-watched it more than a few times since. Although it starts out a bit slow, I love to suggest it to my friends when we need something fun and endearing to watch. I loved the actors in this drama (especially Sulli and Lee Hyun Woo). I do think the overall rating is way too low here, but I guess it's not too bad since there are over 16,000 viewers. I rated it 9 out of 10. You should watch it--Enjoy!
(PS) Another great college drama to watch is "Tomorrow's Cantabile" --sooo funny with great actors and storyline (:
SOMEBODY HELP! I can't move on from this drama...I feel so depressed...I want to forget it and watch it all…
Another drama to watch that I highly recommend is "Baker King Kim Tak Gu." The first episode starts out a bit slow, but it is still one of my overall favorites after all these years. (PS it is a more serious drama but meaningful. Great actors.) Enjoy.
I'm at ep11, and even if i'm loving this drama, since i've watched it right after Goblin, I can't…
I really liked "Goblin." It was a much more serious drama because of the storyline and I gave it a very high rating, but I really, really loved "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo." I gave it a 10 which is almost unheard of for me. It had a little bit of everything and was excellent overall.
How can a drama series have no flaws? This drama was excellent all the way around from start to finish. The music was perfect and fit appropriately with every scene. I loved all the actors, the storyline was great and I couldn't stop watching every episode. The humor was hilarious with the romance and drama just right. What is next that could possibly compete with "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo." I almost never rate a drama 10, but this one definitely deserves a 10 out of 10 for me! Great work to everyone involved and for once I really hope to see a sequel. Take care!
I have always loved the majority of Lee Min Ho's dramas, and the leading actress Jeon Ji Hyeon, was perfect for this role--her performance was outstanding! I liked watching all the episodes but felt that there was something a little lacking. At times Lee Min Ho was a bit boring (sorry), especially the scenes where he narrates. I've decided that, for me, it was because the music was really distracting! Pieces of the music were okay here and there, but I feel there was just too much music that was loud, annoying, and that it would have been so much better even without any music--it might have seemed more realistic. I never say that, because what would any drama be without it's music?! Background music that is...music that is interjected into just the right scene enhancing the feeling, but not overpowering. Sometimes it just felt even "cheesy"--it just didn't convey the right feeling or add anything to the substance of the drama. I even thought of watching this with the sound turned off and just having the subtitles showing, but I really didn't want to miss the actors' voices and other sound effects. Anyway, it was a pretty good drama and got even better as the episodes progressed. It was a good ending, but nothing amazing. I rated it between 8.0 and 8.5 out of 10. Take care.
After completing this, I'm going to start Surplus Princess :)
This drama is so far superior to Surplus Princess. I watched Surplus Princess about a year ago, but it was really sooo bad. FYI I would not watch it again--it was so disappointing (Surplus Princess). I rated it a 4.5 out of 10.
Excellent drama!! Really good story line. Ecletic, quirky, interesting, vague, dramatic, emotional. Good Ending. Not a predictable story. I loved the actors and the music is so good--I'm going to buy the soundtrack. Double love interests were done well and resolved well. I rated this drama 9.5 out of 10. I just finished watching the last episode and wish it wasn't over. I will probably watch it again right away, which is something I hardly ever do. Great job to the director and all involved. I think this is going to become one of the all time favorites--ever! Take care.
I just finished watching this "drama." The series was okay and the lead couple were really good together. Also there was a lot of kissing and affection. I liked it for the most part but it bordered on being boring and it just felt like there was no plot and not much excitement at all. Don't think I'd watch it again, but I did not dislike it. Just a bit slow. I rated it an 8 out of 10.
I forced myself to watch into the second episode of the American version of "Boys Over Flowers" hoping that I might be wrong and it could get better--but it was sooo bad, I almost felt sick! What's with the producers and director? I love Korean dramas and it is so embarrassing to be an American (Californian) when they put out such poor, poor results as this. The acting was bad, the plot wasn't even recognizable. There isn't one nice thing that I can say. I can only think they did this on purpose for some reason?--What? You couldn't be that bad even if you tried. So sorry, but true! I can barely rate this a 1 out of 10! Seriously! Sadly, I would Never recommend that anyone watch the American version!
PS
I am so hoping when they do the American version of "Bu Bu Jing Xin" (one of my all-time favorites) that they will do an excellent job as befitting the American film industry! But I am AFRAID!!! Please prove me wrong. While I liked the Korean version that was just released this year (2016), it almost seemed like a different story although still interesting and the actors were decent. The Chinese version was very realistic--amazing actors, costuming, directing and cinematography--and so well done--nothing has been able to compare so far for me...in nearly any drama!
Just finished the last episode of Princess Wei Young. Excellent Chinese drama. Held my interest every episode. Main couple (Tiffany Tang and Luo Jin) were great together--also the two additional couples. Good storyline. The Emporer was perfect for his role. Also the male antagonist was good. Female antagonists were okay, but not as interesting. 54 episodes are long, but worth it. I would probably watch it again if a friend wanted to see it with me. The only thing I can really complain about is that it seems that all Chinese drama series show the entire plot from beginning to end in the first 2 minutes of each episode. It's very irritating and the only reason I sometimes don't want to watch Chinese dramas, otherwise they are usually very well done. I try to skip past the first 2 min 15 seconds, but it's still hard not to get an accidental glimpse of the main scenes and ending! I rated it a 9 out of 10.
I, for some reason, adore dramas where in the love triangle, one guy is pure and noble etc, and the other is evil/semi-evil/simply…
Also besides "Prince of Lan Ling" (Chinese drama), my other favorite is "Bu Bu Jing Xin" (also known as Scarlet Heart -1). Absolutely everything was perfect in that drama series--actors, acting, amazing plot and scenery, not to mention the music! "Bu Bu Jing Xin" is the story that the Korean version "Scarlet Heart Ryeo--Moonlovers" is based on. I really liked the Korean version, but I must honestly say that the Chinese version is my first love--it's so well done!
Cute Drama. Interesting scenes. Started out a little goofy but quickly got interesting. Lots of family and situations to keep your interest including comedy, romance and drama. Plot kept twisting. Cute leads. I really like the lead actors Seo In Guk and Nam Ji Hyun. I rated this 8.5.
Just finished the final episode. Really good drama series. Never bored. Each episode peaked my interest. Good ending--not thrilling or exciting end but satisfying none the less. I would have liked to see a few more consequences for the "bad guys." Ha. The two lead actors were cast perfectly for their roles. I liked the "side" couples also. Lin Ruby did an excellent performance in every scene and Yuan Justin has been a favorite actor of mine since I saw him as 13th prince in "Bu Bu Jing Xin" or "Scarlet Heart-1" (truly amazing drama although they did such a poor job on the sequel)! I love historical Asian dramas and if you're looking for one to watch, I think you should definitely give this one a chance. (FYI--A couple of other favorites--among many--are "Prince of Lan Ling" and also "Empress Ki".) Take care and enjoy!
PS I gave this drama, "Singing All Along," a rating of 9 out of 10. (Also, there are only 50 episodes, not 52.)
This was a good drama series. Worth watching. I loved Ji Chang Wook--great actor, especially in Healer and Empress Ki--one of my all-time favorites! Song Yoon Ah also good acting. The others were okay. The first episode was one of the best, intriguing intros I have ever seen. I would probably watch again and recommend to a friend. Recommend binge watching though--I think you lose a lot of impetus while waiting an entire week for the next episode.
This may be a good drama, but so far I cannot get through the first episode! It's so boring and disjointed. What is going on? The second guy is the only interesting one so far.
