I loved "The King's Daughter, Soo Baek Hyang." This is one of the best Historical kdramas I have watched. I was sad when it ended which isn't usually the case, but I actually missed watching it!

Title Dramaworld
It's true--This drama had about every cliché you can think of from every Kdrama (although I'm sure there must have been a few they missed)! They were very funny, laugh-out-loud moments. I loved the premise of the story and the actors were really okay. (I didn't even recognize Sean Richard Dulake. He looked so different without the long blond hair in the sageuk drama "Jejungwon." It is so good!). I kept wondering if they were acting that way intentionally for the purpose of the "Dramaworld" story--I'm sure they were to some degree. But really, in the final analysis, it was just a little off, although I watched it all and kind of liked it. It was a good ending. (I rated it 7 out of 10.) I would watch it again just to see if I missed anything although I'm not fond of having to click forward to the next episode every 10 or 15 minutes. (:

I'm not totally into anime, but I can't help thinking that maybe this would have been a really good anime series. Take care!

I watched this drama last year. It is one of my favorites. I will watch it again. It is one of those that pops into my mind every now and then. I liked how the two-stories came together. It is so unforgettable!
On My Love Eun Dong Aug 15, 2016
I watched this drama earlier this year (2016). I really liked the story line and the actors, but the one frustrating issue I had was with the music (which isn't usually a problem). The music in this drama was out of balance. It was too loud and overpowering compared to the whispering voices of the actors. It seemed that the background music was challenging the actors to set the mood and tone of a scene. Even though I watched straight through the 5th episode, I struggled with the remaining drama, constantly turning the volume up or down when the "background" music became too loud.

I would like to try watching this, although I couldn't get into the beginning of the first season from 1998. I want it to be like the amazing "Bu Bu Jing Xin" (Scarlet Heart-1), "Prince of Lan Ling," or "Empresses in the Palace." I have discovered how much I like some of the wonderful Chinese historical dramas! There are many really great historical dramas from several Asian countries--I love it!!! (I am an American from the U.S. all my life.)

I have watched a few dramas on kissasian.com when I can't find them on dramafever.com or viki.com, and at first the website was okay. There are several ads on the site but I don't always mind because most of them seem to be mainstream and unobtrusive--Except for a few that have offensive pictures. I try my best to avoid looking at them and even though you can close them, it gets tiring for every episode. So I have decided not to use kissasian anymore. I've written to them, and of course I'm only one person, but they don't get rid of the bad offensive ads. Instead, they should just keep the normal ads (which would be common sense if they want more followers), so I'm ready to Stop Watching anything on kissasian. It's too bad because it seems like they could have been a really valid website but I'm not willing to be offended any longer.
On Princess Pearl Season 2 Aug 15, 2016
I started watching this on kissasian.com but it's hard to tell which season I'm watching because the titles of the same dramas vary so much. It's not that old but I don't really care for the background music. Maybe I just need to stick with a few more episodes to see if anything is going to change. I was hoping it would be like the amazing "Bu Bu Jing Xin" (Scarlet Heart-1) or "Prince of Lan Ling", but so far that's not the case. But I have discovered how much I like some wonderful Chinese dramas! There are some really great historical dramas from many Asian countries--I love it (I am an American from the U.S. all my life.)

Good drama. Interesting. Pace was pretty good, but last two episodes seemed to drag a bit. Somewhat cliché and predictable. Characters worked well together. Father too overbearing. Ending was good--better than expected. Not as emotional as I thought it would be.

I don't understand--what's with the low review ratings? Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but really? I do have to say that I was not influenced by any pre-drama hype before it came out so I didn't have pre-set expectations.

This drama was sooo good! I loved Lee Min Ho and Kim Woo Bin -- the lead actress, Park Shin Hye, was also excellent! I enjoyed every episode. Maybe you need to watch it one more time?

Take care.
nevermind Aug 12, 2016
Wow--sorry, but I so disagree! I loved all three of these dramas. I especially liked "To a Beautiful You." I never forced myself through any part of these dramas. "Boys Over Flowers" was my second kdrama ever and I loved it--so did my friend! And you really must watch "Heirs" with Lee Min Ho and Kim Woo Bin. The lead actress, Park Shin Hye, was also excellent. It was sooo good--every episode. Of course we all have our own opinions, but I really can't understand how you wouldn't like any of these three. (:

Honestly my "disappointment list" would include:
Playful Kiss (so condescending to women),
Flower Boy Ramen Shop (too boring and too much fluff),
Iris (terrible ending!) and
Cheese in the Trap (ending and last episodes ?!?)
Also the most overrated drama in my optinion is "You Who Came from the Stars." I liked parts of it, but the lead female character was just too over the top--such a spoiled brat and egotistic--too much so--while the lead male character was way too quiet and opposite personality.

Hang in there (Fighting)! and Take Care.

I've read through the comments below. What I would like to know is, am I really the only person who wants to know about what the word "DAMMY" means on his sweatshirt? Is it some kind of high school/group slang? Can anyone tell me? Thanks.
Excellent drama series. My rating 97%

Episodes are 30 min, so really 54 episodes instead of 108

I didn't want it to end, it was sooo good, although last two episodes could have been a little more engaging--like all the episodes that came before. It felt a little too "wrapped up" at the very end, although it was a good ending.

I loved the character "Kuchon," played by Yoon Tae-young--sincere expressions and captivating smile! Also, Seo Hyun-jin was amazing portraying Solnan--she is beautiful physically as well as her personalityl!

All of the actors were excellent, as well as the cinematography and storyline. I could easily watch this again!

"The King's Daughter, Soo Baek Hyang" is definitely worth watching and one of the best historical dramas I've seen (which are many)! It's at the top of my list with my other favorites!

I watched this on YouTube in 10-minute segments. It was easy and the picture quality was good.
I've been searching for this movie for quite some time. Don't know how I missed seeing it, but I'm so glad that I found it. I watched the first 10 minutes to see if it was something that I would be interested in. I couldn't stop watching to the end.
This movie was so well done. It is touching and powerful because it makes you think and come to a few realizations about life. Everything in this movie was perfect--from the storyline and music to the most excellent acting to the writers, directors and everyone involved in its production. I rate it 10/10. Highly recommended.

This really is a good drama! I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end and will watch it again. I also loved the current-day, techie side of the story. The storyline is good (for the most part)--there were a couple of things I would have changed, but everyone has a different idea. The actors were good--especially the two lead actors who were so perfect together. I loved their unique personalities, but still willing to try to understand each other and give in for the other person's benefit. Side stories were cute and the ending was great. I definitely recommend you watch this one. I rated it 9 out of 10.

wow the preview for episode 15 -__- good thing this drama has HJE & RJY or else i would have dropped it many eps…
I started worrying after watching episode 14 because I couldn't imagine that they could have any greater content for the story, but they actually pulled it off. I wasn't bored or disappointed (except for the Shaman never did make sense to me).

OMG can't handle her clothes!
I really hope this is not a new trend. I actually love new styles and trends, but her clothes were awful! I believe they did it to make her look completely different and stand out among the other characters, which they didn't really need to do because her personality was so unique. I didn't like any of her outfits until the very last scene in the park and they never mentioned any new trends in the story. I thought I was going to like the dress he gave her in an earlier scene until I saw the yellow splashes with the stripes. It seemed to try to be artistic, but it didn't accent any of her features or attract me to the design. It just was not appealing at all!
PS I loved her hair cut! (: She is so cute!

Thank you Soo Ho for finally telling that Shaman off. I get it, she has bad luck but to say things such as she's…
I don't even get the Shaman guy at all. I understand that she was very superstitious, but his development in the story could have been much better. Obviously he was the evil one, but in the end he just packs up and leaves? It just didn't make enough sense--it felt like a piece of the drama was left out without completion. I felt that there should have been some type of confrontation to a sub-plot of some type.

That was messed up how she just left him in the street. Really killed any romance.I rather have him go with Amy.
I couldn't understand that either. I know it was for dramatic effect, but they should have had her stay around a bit longer at least to see if he was still alive, especially since she was in love with the guy!

this one start out really nice... but after episode 15-16, it becomes repetitive and too draggy. which is common…
How do writers "Run out of ideas?" They must be either bored or unmotivated. Or the directors are. It makes no sense if this is your job and you're in the industry. Wouldn't you continually be coming up with better ideas rather than worse? It's not like there are no data out there to work with! There is some real reason why it's not done better. Maybe they are not getting paid enough or they're way overworked. Either both or something entirely different, but there is a reason.
I'm trying to decide if I should watch this drama or not. I hate wasting my time on mediocre dramas and especially getting to the end of 16 or 20 hours and being disappointed that something is cut off or dragged out. It just makes me not want to watch any more dramas at all. I could be doing other things with my life. If you're going to do a job, I believe you should do it right or at least to the best of your ability--not to just throw any old thing out there just to get it finished.

Re: newest format for mydramalist.com episode links (under "Watch Online Now" section). It looks much better than having to scroll through 20 screens to get to the comment section. (I hope it doesn't look like this just because there are only two episodes listed so far.) It would be even better if, instead of a full picture for each episode, there was just a hypertext link to each episode since the picture is already shown at the top of the page. Or how about just a teeny picture next to each link? Or even just move that section to the Bottom of the page?
Thanks for listening and take care.
