Yes. A few days ago, Sprite had left the production. According to another commenter, words were said that insulted Sprite and her qualifications. As of Dec. 8th, they have formally apologized to her in person and on socials. They also released a statement saying that they will continue forward with the project.
The latest news is still really new so I'm waiting for better translations to start circulating, but after a lot of discussion, they may have decided to air the footage she has already filmed, or she has returned to the production? I'll keep an eye out and update in this thread.
Those scenes with Milk made me cry. And it didnt help that i kept replaying them because of how gorgeous they are.
The golden color surrounding such a bittersweet farewell of first love. In the very place that the 4 of them had come to know so much happiness. With Milk finally embracing the very emotions (and their meaning) that he so adamantly opposed before. And that kiss was gorgeous. It really convinced me of their chemistry in that moment right before, during, and after.
And then the monotonous gray of the subway, where Milk walks alone, unsure if Jungwoo will succeed in convincing Choco to join him. If he’d ever see him again. Or if Choco’s soul will cease to exist. But smiling anyway for the time he got to spend with everybody and seeing more of the world than he had as a cat. Showing that despite the sadness, he wouldn’t change a thing.
Yea… I’m glad we have another episode on the 20th. But also, I’m SO not ready for this to end. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Major kudos to Strongberry for this production. Short. Sweet. Beautiful. Emotional. And with characters that just steal your heart. And the actors who really embody their roles. Is this a new era for Strongberry? I cant wait to see. And i REALLY hope we see more from the actors who play Choco and Milk (even if I do have a pretty obvious preference towards Milk).
It's very funny to me Dean and Tul were so surprised Win listens to music when his dorm room is just. Covered…
Those are the same posters Wabi Sabi uses in most of their dramas. Probably didnt really think on them much. Just decoration for the blank walls.
As for the shower thing. Thailand is reportedly very big on showers and cleanliness because of the thick humidity and such. So they would shower before leaving the house, and then upon returning from outdoors. So even though he showered before coming to school, he wouldnt feel comfortable laying on the bed after coming back inside from that humidity. It wouldnt be considered clean.
I wish Win and Team had more screen time, especially considering this is a shorter series. I usually don’t mind…
Theyre doing minor changes alot in this series. But yea, in UWMA it seems like they get started after the DeanPharm WinTeam arcs. But perhaps theyre making it where ManaowPruek have a flirtation-ship going the whole time, and then get together together at the end?
Win is being sappy.Manaow still doesn't feel quite like Manaow. Is there like an uncanny valley equivalent for…
I completely agree. It did not need to be there in the slightest. And they had the nerve to replay the entire thing. Like it wasnt fresh in our minds because of 1.) the emotions from it; and 2.) it literally being around 2 minutes before.
Since they didn't know the judges beforehand, what if they chose a song to perform that's from one of them? Some programs try to avoid that. Oooh. The contestants get to vote as well! I love that the subtitles say what song they are singing, but it would be nice to know the original artist as well. Thai songs can be hard to search up sometimes. Is this purely a compete and eliminate type of production, or will there be a mentorship component? An ad quite literally cut off Tui's performance mid-word and never went back to finish it! It just skipped to the next performer. Don't do the single long video when watching. It plays on top/obscures the content rather than interrupting it.😤 Hopefully they don't repeat this in future episodes. For a second there, I thought Kenji was about to sing "Baby Shark." 🤣 I'm sorry Kenji! So songs from the judges are fair game. Confirmed. That had to be unnerving though. I'm seeing some signs of camaraderie on the sidelines already. I wonder how such clear-cut alpha-beta labels could influence a potential boy group that was discussed earlier.
Favorite performances (Ep 1): ~Nicky (his vocals were so pleasant to listen to, and his expressions were so fun to watch). ~Kade (I loved his singing vocals, and his confidence was strong when he was rapping). ~Boss (his stage presence and aesthetic are definitely idol-quality. And he's got some of those fan favorite classic moves down.) ~William (He portrayed those emotions so well!) ~Fluke (He completely stole my attention. The moves, voice, and song were fantastic! And the way he acknowledged his audience!) ~Nut (His lower notes were great. He mastered that stage well, and his english was perfection). ~Champ (It had an endearing quality to it that I really liked). ~Eark (his voice and moves remind me a lot of singers and groups already signed with GMMTV that I really like).
I'm looking forward to seeing how Deaw evolves through the competition; I feel like he has great potential. Keen did a good job engaging with the camera - that'll probably do him good when it comes to home voters. I think I would've liked Korn better with a different song. The way that Lego did a full-on cartwheel and then continued singing that very next breath! 😶 Music, you gotta be careful about using a song you've used several times before - you can sink into a feeling of comfortability that you wouldn't necessarily want at something of this scale. Kop needs to get more familiar with that mic, or distance it from his mouth a little bit.
So far, i'm agreeing with all the alpha choices. And they are rocking their throne poses! 👌
I like the series so far. But I agree with most of you, the reason why it hasn't been hitting that much for me…
Agreed. That pool had lane lines. He had something to grab onto. Even a beginner swimmer is told what to do in the case of a cramp. I'm just trying to attribute it to him being stuck in a PTSD flashback. Because too many of the variables were the same between the 2 events. And he was clearly already out of it before he even got in the pool. (I'm using this excuse to also justify why he's breathing on every other stroke).
But if his PTSD is THAT bad, he shoudn't be allowed anywhere near a pool. Win would be irresponsible to allow it. How to deal with cramps is one of the first things you learn in any position that deals with swimming. Competitive swimming. Scuba diving. Synchronized Swimming. Even water-born physical therapy. And it's such a common event, that it's hard to believe that he's never had one in his swimming career besides that time with his brother.

But I wonder if itll be a next life sort of thing. Since the end credit clip of 10 talked about what they would want to return as.

Also, apparently this bears some resemblance to "My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday."
