Mame-verse connection: Connected to "Test Love" by Mame (which does not have a drama adaptation). As such, Mame will probably change how this adaptation is connected (as she did for LITA which was not originally connected to DSN).
Honestly I watched the "normal" trailer not the "poetic" one and there is no age gap on screen. I don't understand…
I'm wondering if it's an intercultural misunderstanding. The original language synopses for this drama all say "middle-aged," and some Asian countries consider middle-aged to actually be earlier than the 40s, unlike the west. I wonder if China is among them.
Army’s behavior towards Joe this episode was so uncalled for. It’s downright disrespectful to completely disregard…
Army was definitely out of line. But I also think he didn't think anyone was still around. He probably thought what he was doing was screaming out to an empty field to tease Joe and express his happiness. So I don't think he meant to out him.
It's still wrong though. It's a sensitive subject and you can never be truly sure no one will hear it. I wouldn't have tolerated it in the least.
Love this more and more, every week we touch new topics and we do it in such a light yet complete way!The only…

I don't think joe and army will be end game. I don't think it's fair for joe to sacrifice his career over a relationship…
I agree about not having Joe sacrifice his career for Army. But it goes deeper than that. This is his sexuality. So it comes down to whether he should or shouldn't be able to be out at his workplace (which is a whole other debate with valid points on both sides).
Nim and Mollie: They were indeed toxic. But, a big part of that was because Mollie felt trapped in her identity. Now that they know who they are and is confident in it, the relationship might be a healthy one this time around. I'm not particularly invested in it though, so i'm not going to be devastated if it doesn't happen. They do deserve a happy ending though, and I don't see any other partners coming in (because Bew was toxic as well).
Jean is entitled to her feelings, and has the right to not forgive him. But I also understand why Alex is trying to get forgiveness. They were close. And he was so utterly drunk that night that he doesn't fully realize what he did. And while we got the full flashback, it doesn't seem like Jean has given Alex all the information. Jean sobered up that night while they were doing it, but he didn't. Not only his judgement was impaired, but even his awareness. But regardless, I much prefer to ship Alex and Kat, and Jean and Toby. Those two couples are super cute together (as well as deviating from that first love trope). But it seems like we might be getting AlexJean and KatToby instead. :/
so maybe joe is asexual? istg if army does something to hurt joe i will throw hands..
I got brought into this drama after claims of the ace representation. I actually wouldn't say that he is though. Being ace is about the sexual attraction, which he does seem to have. Likewise, you can be sex-repulsed, and be allosexual (non-ace). It would seem that he is more likely considered a "side," which also doesn't get much screentime. And many sides do not consider themselves on the ace spectrum. It's considered a position, rather than a sexuality or a stance on intercourse.
Of course, you can always headcanon him as ace. But right now, I don't think there's enough there to claim it as canon yet. Unless there's something in episode 9 (i havent watched it yet).

So many important subjects dealt with in this series. I think it's one of the better GMMTV series an d Jojo has…

But do you mind putting it under a spoiler tag please?
