The lights and camerawork for "The Alpha" hurt my eyes. I think it looked fine from what I could see?
Time: It looked like a fun performance, but the music/singing itself didn't keep me engaged. Judges were, as always, spot on with their comments. (Man, I wish I agreed with US judges on these types of shows like this. Much more pleasant experience this way.)
Nut: Pitchy at times. But he sold it overall. And it felt very GMMTV. Lol "Everyone must not be feeling well now... Because you gave all your good feelings to Nut" 😂
Fluke: Fluke over here at it again! From that first note, I was hooked. Such a gorgeous sound. 🥰 ... I like his outfit. But what's with the obsession of oversized clothes? It can still be loose and movement friendly without being so large. The same comment goes to everyone. I'm so glad Fluke seems to have friends in this competition. And you wouldn't have known he was so nervous from this performance. Very well done.
“ We reserve the right to be wrong, and kindly ask people to let us stay in our state of wrong.” “To annoy shiro” “Do khaki pants = wealth?”
Lol. Yall have me laughing . 😂👌 And yes. Khakis do appear to mean wealth. Had to wear it in concert band in my middle and high school days. And they go in and out of being able to find easily. It was very annoying.
i finished this drama awhile back. i decided to revisit this and find your review. as an aroace myself, i gotta…
A few of us were actually discussing it over in the feeds (theres a few of us on the ace and aro spectrums who discuss representation and headcanons, lol). So no, you are definitely not alone in your disappointment. Im glad you liked my review! It was a long one, I know. 😂
Did you already submit a new title for it? i dont want to make a repeat submission if yes
We all follow along with stuff from the other countries. There's whole MDL forums discussing them. As well as several individual users on their profiles.
But several of the current MDL countries aren't very comprehensive in the database yet. So it's just a matter of time and effort from the users. And trust me, the second that another country opens up, the admins will probably be flooded with page creation requests. 😅

The production company has to be from the country. Or in some sort of partnership with producers from the country. Setting is not enough to qualify it as a korean film. Because the title/story/production itself is not the work of that country. There is so much that goes into the making of a story that setting really doesn't play into that. You can't do everything needed for the production and then go film in another country and call it the work of the country you filmed in. There have been many american and european films that have filmed in asia, but you wouldn't call them asian films. Does that make sense?
Once Singapore is added, and if the special was indeed filmed in korea, it would get a "filmed abroad" tag.

Several people have submitted it. But this title isn't even supposed to be up here because it's a Singapore production. They're not likely to add the new title until Singapore is added to the MDL list of countries.
This is a collaborative high-budget production from Thailand, China, and the US
Non-MDL persons that are on the production and writing team are: Rick McCallum (Indiana Jones; Star Wars: The Clone Wars) Henry Gilroy (co-writer of Star Wars: The Clone Wars)
They also worked with real-life vets to ensure accuracy.

I wonder how many domestic viewers are voting.
