what was the point of cha jin man being in the story and being the "main antagonist" if he was just going to leave…
The point? To drag a title out for as many seasons as possible... don't expect logic and do expect to see characters deviate from their natural personality traits whenever it suits the narrative.
The ratings has to by bots. Now way this show is above 8
It was... and now it isn't. I have a theory... the assistant writer quit half way through, exposing the head writer for what she really is... a no-talent that takes the credit for others' work. The narrative planted all its explosives, hit the ignition switch, and... 💨 nothing happened, at all, the characters start spewing platitudes to each other with some faux philosophy thrown in. First time I've seen a drama set itself up so well and backfire so badly. It's tedious and annoying at this stage.
A beautiful show, full of warmth and quirky, adorable characters that make you laugh and make you cry. Great quality again from jtbc, the cast and the crew.
Dr Cha started off very strong, I was loving it... but from the half way mark it descended into pure, repetitive soap opera, characters unraveling with inconsistencies, the whole plot fell apart without a bang when the truth came out and it's been anticlimactic to say the least. At the point I was supposed to feel something I just stared at the screen blankly with no warm feelings for any of them. Oh well. I mean, where did the cool, dashing Dr Roy Kim go? Boring. Who wrote this, are there two writers?
Pretty good, must admit I was thrown off when the lady started talking direct to camera half-way through, not exactly Fleabag, but worth a try I suppose.
I'll be watching this because I thought Won Ji-an showed a lot of promise in If You Wish Upon Me, seems she makes wise choices too, this role seems like a good fit.
This looks like a try-out movie for up and coming actors, those that aren't yet at the top charisma level, maybe some with famous relatives who need to break the barrier of nepotism. Pretty uneventful, sluggish narrative, no cinematography, cheap cameras and sets, as you'd expect at this budget. Edit - looking back I see it's been pieced together from a mini web series, I wish Viki would warn us that it's not a real movie tbh, I wasted my time.
The lead actress, I really like; naturally her strongest feature is her elegant, exquisite figure - I'd like to see her push for parts as the baddie in action/thriller genres, she'd be incredible. She needs to work on her 'thoughtful' expression, it looks like a sneer, as if she sucked a lemon, not quite right at times - it's a very familiar expression I see every day in London, it's the national personality of the English, we sneer at each other in this grey, depressed country, I hope she shakes it off.
This isn't a top 21 list, just a collection of good films currently available on the ott platforms. I mean #1 is not one of the best action films at all, it only has one classic 'action' sequence - which was **incredible**, but just one scene. It's more a diplomatic movie. Anyway, it's a list.
I absolutely loved it. I have seen it twice through now. I was looking foward to it for so long and it didn't…
Kim Woo-bin is great. I'm not a fan of this Netflix format - a format which pushed me away from US TV and towards South Korea in the first place. Ironic, how Netflix is operating, it dropped the ball somewhere along its journey.
It's Netflix, that's their mo. I can't be bothered, nothings going to happen, they'll end episode 6 on a cliff hanger, what's the point? Well, it's #6 in TV in their own chart... but those charts are compiled based on watching a number of minutes, not on whole episodes.
Indeed... why not use a prop cigarette? There are fake cigarettes that light at the edge and they produce just…
But whatever they do... don't announce to the audience it's not real - otherwise they might as well just mime the whole show, use cardboard boxes for trucks and make their own engine noises with their mouths 😂
