Among its output, Jtbc makes consistently high quality drama. I wish the article focused on pointing out its unique attributes among broadcasters, one that doesn't compromise on style or quality to chase ratings. I believe its dramas have an audience that cannot be reached through other networks, so it's not all about 'ratings', there's more to it.

An exquisite actress, she looks different in almost everything, and consistently exquisite. All of her roles make me curious about her, as soon as I've watched one, old or new, I have so many questions in my head, I guess she's enigmatic... or maybe beguiling is the better adjective. Happy and relieved to see she's working on new projects.

Really? But it's nonsense: "foil to her husband's character, to show her that not all men are assholes"...? Then why does Dr Roy act like an asshole later on, having petty fights with the husband, lowering himself on the doctors' excursion, competing etc.? Because the writing was awful.

In contrast I'd like to nominate the stupidest scene. Dr Cha striding out of the shadows in her leathers.. was that supposed to be a wow moment? It was more like a second hand embarrassment moment. Cringe worthy.

Right... she only spewed the words the writers put in her mouth though - her daughter was also selfish, but of course - only because the incompetent writer couldn't show any sympathy to the mistress and love child without making them look bitchy and entitled 🤷‍♀️. If it was written properly we'd be seeing things from another perspective at least.

Like you say, the writers had it in for In-ho and he blew it... and changed personality to suit the narrative. He starts off as said scoundrel, fed up with his wife, smitten with his mistress, and basically had his shit together... then transforms into a total love-lorn loser, crying over his wife, cold-shoulders the once-adored mistress... what's this writer on?

His character was written inconsistently. He starts off as very cool, calm and collected, tall and handsome, skilful and earnest - he and Dr Cha are definitely flirting, it was fun to watch. But later he's written as a petty, goofy, besotted nerd type (could be a feminist agenda - turn the men into fools instead of elevating the female on her own merits) and it got ridiculous to watch. Disappointed with the writing overall, the series started as a farcical comedy, ended in soulless melodrama. In contrast, when I watch The Good Bad Mother, I'm fully invested in those characters, it's moving, funny, you name it.
