A headline that states a drama has broken a record - is a cue for comments about it not being all that. Why do we feel the need to tear things down? It says a lot about us.
I'm confused why people are bringing up CLOY when the article doesn't pose a question of which we prefer. QOT…
Yes, number of viewers is reported, not whether they felt it was the best. All dramas are different and have different appeal. What are the shortcomings, could you tell us the main shortcoming you're thinking of?
Kim ji won and Kim Soo Hyun with their fantastic acting and chemistry saved this drama and made it to reach the…
You've touched on the exact reasons K-dramas are popular. Beautiful people, beautiful stories, beautiful thoughts, beautiful cinematography, adventure, romance, escapism.
When you go to the super, I bet you select your fruit and veg based on their looks. K-dramas are based on thought and narrative, not visuals - the story is presented by the most beautiful to help those ideas reach the widest audience.
Avoid the vaccine, we were conned. They're still advertising the COVID vaccine in the states, despite evidence…
After 2 months it's disturbing to notice my post containing links to over 5 pieces of solid scientific evidence, supplied only on the 'request' of two sarcastic idiots, was deleted. Therefore, this is my last MDL comment.
I like his movies, they're exciting. But eight in a series? I'll be afraid to miss one so it might be easier to give up, I don't think I'll have the stamina.
Thanks for the article LA. Looking forward to it and will judge after watching. This director must be stressed out, I hope his work receives a warm response from open minded viewers. Yoo Ah-in has made so many apocalyptic titles recently, Alive, Hellbound, Goodbye Earth, and some from the underworld. I hope to see him come back fresh and positive when he's ready.
If thats your definition of "grooming" then thats just sad, it was a fantasy show not real life lol idk how its…
I notice you're a fan of violent dramas, do you want me to preach about real violence in the real world to you? It might have nothing to do with your favourite violent dramas, even though they're fictional, I'll say it if you want.
I don't think the Goblin would do as well as it did if released now. People would find the aegyo too much and…
I disagree - the story was miraculous and the cast nailed it down, take any of those main 3 (or 4, Yoo In-na sarang-hae) it wouldn't have been great. You're too much focusing on ideology and it's stopping you from enjoying yourself, there is resistance to the woke culture going on right now - everyone accepted the general idea, but it went too far... there's a marvellous Japanese drama on Netflix right now that tries to strike that middle ground that everyone supports, it demonstrates what I mean about going too far, it's very smart and funny too, Mr Inappropriate. However, might be one for the older gen, no idea about your demographic, Japanese 50+ love it!
Not grooming. They were not romantically involved with each other until after when she was an adult. She just…
Noted. You're too far gone. A narcissistic virtue-signaller, in whose world everyone else is a paedo, rapist, etc. because that makes you look better, it's all fake. Like I said, you didn't get Goblin. He wasn't 40, he was 900. Some people have to try and spoil everything. None of the real K-drama fans are listening to your crap.
This drama good but CLOY will always be #1 in my heart!❤️ I can rewatch it many times and still get the same…
I agree, CLOY was particularly special. I watched it 4 times - it became hard to watch new titles because I hadn't got over it. Ratings capture a moment in time, they can't be used to meaningfully compare dramas years apart, there are too many variables. Let's just look at each individually as unique and wonderful in their own rights. Each sets a benchmark that's used for future dramas to build on.
i think i am the only one that can't understand all the hype about these dramas, i dropped almos t every popular…
Nothing weird. I guess we both liked Lost. I can't resist the big-hitter escapist adventures though - they resonate because the lead characters are full of positivity and portray romanticism in the classical sense. There's nothing like it on my local channels, they make me feel happy, I spend 90 minutes smiling or weeping or shouting things at the baddies! Come to think of it, I'm weird too!
Ohh the evolution because now there's global platforms... if Goblin was to be released today I think it would…
The ratings are taken from the number of TV sets in South Korea. That's what they are, not streaming, not us foreigners, but the South Korean live audience.

Your watchlist says it all - you haven't got a clue.
