The thing is, Wen Yifan is still suffering from her past trauma. She shuts everyone off and keep everything to herself, to protect herself. Even if Sang Yan confess now, it's not guaranteed he'll get the outcome he wants. Plus, she rejected him in the past as well.

Sang Yan is basically biding his time, trying to let Wen Yifan opens up to him, by giving her enough space while also protecting her. She needs time to heal after all.

I'm here playing "雨滴中有你 (There Is You Amidst Raindrops)" on repeat while waiting for the new episodes. It's melancholic af and when recalling the scenes from the drama, it just tugs at your heart. 😭

P.s., it's the OST from Ep6 (27:30) where it plays WYF's past about her family situation.

Her mother remarried shortly after her father died. Her step-dad got his own daughter, and her mother lives with that new family.

Then, WYF was sent to her grandmother. Shortly after than, her grandmother also passed away. Then, she was sent to live with her uncle's (her bio father's brother) family. The 'Aunt' we see in the drama is that uncle's wife.

Writers really like to do it, don't they. 😂

About Mu Cheng Yun, he did pursue WYF a bit but the scene of forcing himself into her apartment uninvited is a drama addition. May be the writers wanted to spice things up a bit there.

Flashback arc is only a couple episodes, I think until ep8, and then the story will resume from the present time.

He got his redemption at the end. Sacrificed himself to disrupt the villain's plan.

This is my very first Zhang Ruo Nan drama, and I was thoroughly blown away by her performance. I can distinctly perceive what the character Wen Yi Fan is going through at each moment: sadness, anxiousness, helplessness, fear, resentment, being conflicted, resigning oneself, being lost...

She just gained a fan. I'm going to visit her earlier works after this.

For Bai Jing Ting, I'm familiar with him in a couple of his earlier works, and loved him in every single one of them. He's killing it here as well!

I tend to go ahead and read the novels whenever a new drama click with me. But, for TFF, I'll specially hold off on reading the novel until the drama is finished because I wanna enjoy the performance of both leads on screen first. That's how much I'm enjoying their acting! 😍

Remember the badge SY's cultivators wear in Ep 24? That allows them to use their abilities within the palace. Otherwise, due to the formation they placed within the palace ground, cultivators can't use their power. XRR doesn't have one, so she is basically normal human there.

Yea, so far the dramas I followed all sticked to the source material's ending. That's better tbh.

This drama also made a lot of changes already. I like most of the changes. Really make the story better.

If they pull TTEOTM to this one, I would riot!

It's happy ending in the novel. Good chance the drama will too. But, drama changed quite a number of things already, so hard to say what further changes are in store for us.

It's a world of magic.. and XRR at this point is already stronger than MRW. So, it's not that impossible. MRW did attack XRR when she entered the room though, and found out she isn't a match with that single exchange.

Ohh... how did I miss this drama until now. It's Allen Ren and PXR!!!

May be I lost it in my watch list because they kept changing the drama name.. lol

Off to read the novel now!

The change I liked most was Mu Qingge herself and the entire flashback arc. The novel was entirely about Ranran and Mu Qingge scenes were just almost non existence, no flashback arc either. Drama did such a good job with this one.

The change I disliked most was Su Yu. Novel Su Yu was almost non existence, always working from the background. But drama gave him a self centered personality and so much scenes at the same time that he frustrates the viewers to no end...

Just finished the novel. The drama made a lot of changes so it was tough to watch the drama and read the novel parallelly. lol

Among the things drama changed, here are the ones I liked and hated the most. (No story spoiler but tagged spoiler nonetheless)

It's a fun watch so far. Nothing too complicated and interesting lead characters. Pacing is good as well. Lots of common xianxia tropes but the story is interesting enough.

The visuals of the leads are chef's kiss though. One of the main reasons we are watching.

So far, that character's sole purpose is to annoy the viewers, and add basically nothing to the stor... oh, he took MRW away from our ML. He did do something y'all!
