Can someone PLEASE explain to me why they peel the apples in modern Cdramas?
I don't know about now but China used to have the practice of collecting everyone's #2 everyday and use them as fertilizers for the trees and vegetables. That may be the reason for Chinese to always boil their veggies, and perhaps that may be the reason why the apple skin need to be peeled. We ate apples unpeeled in China. In the context of this drama, it maybe something to show how the FL act in loving kindness to whoever she attends to. I see that it is very natural for the FL to nurture people by the way she cooks, feed people (e.g LXC and her father when they were in the hospital). That may be one of the reasons why LXC was attracted to her. Obviously his primary love language was acts of service. Here TXY was so good in taking care of people..
Why does Luo Xingchen's voice sound so exhausted? Like constantly it remains in the same tired soft tone...
I never saw Meteor Garden so I have no comparison. My impression is that his voice seems fitful for an artist who likes to be in his own little world daydreaming..
It seems the FL character was portrayed as intelligent but despise having a family and raising children. I don't think being intelligent and raising a family necessarily be in conflict with each other.
I think youre missing the point of the endingNothing about this show is downgrading motherhood, we just end off…
There was no birth control those days. I see this as the writer's way to to justify an illegitimate relationship. These supposedly strong characters who risk their lives to stand up for the truth end up choosing this short cut to have an easy way out. It seems they turned into cowards. I am very disappointed! I will try very hard to forget this drama!
I saw some youtube video saying that Dramas tend to have 4 episodes of solidly written scripts, and then the writers would hastily write according to the fans' reactions and demands. I wonder if that is in fact going on here. Otherwise, why would a character turn senseless after episode 4? I am waiting...for the truth to be revealed.
I'm having a conundrum. I am currently watching this on Viki where there is LOT of hate on the female lead and…
I don't know that Viki has a system that fans can chat with each other, so I don't know how you can respond appropriately. Can you ignore them? This is the first time I watched Kim So Hyun. I didn't pay too much attention to her character too much at the beginning because I was very attracted to Nok Du's character. However, somewhere in the middle, I started realizing how subtle and appropriately Kim So Hyun portrayed a very complicated character. I found myself appreciating her more and more. Perhaps those ladies needed some time to find out what is going on with Dong Joo. After the show, someone shared a review. I didn't read it yet. But I appreciate how the person analyzed every detail. So I saved the link. Maybe the analysis can help you and others understand the elements that made up all the characters. I really think Kim So Hyun deserves the excellent award. She is an actor with depth.
Hello, please could you help me out here?...I don't know how to go about downloading these episodes, pls how do…
I think Kseries.net and FastDrama.Me have options to download. But you will need internet connection and LOTS of space in your phone to download the video of one whole episode.

I have not seen any K drama until WWWSK came along. I am still trying to find out what is going on with K dramas. Not that I like every one of them, but I found some of them quite interesting and refreshing, (e.g. how JDY cross dressed as a very dignified, loving and beautiful woman) which I did not find in any Hollywood films or TV episodes. I especially love the discussion among fans. Some viewers are quite intelligent. It has been an interesting experience for me so far. Thank you for sharing. Have a very Happy New Year!
am I the only one worried that yool mu is king, he's gonna be a horrible king. Why is the ending so calm... I…
Some people comment that we cannot rewrite history. Yool Mu was a horrible king in history. Besides, it was predicted that he would be very lonely for the rest of his life. As for me, I am glad Nokdu and DongJu could live freely and happily together. They have tried their best to help the King, but the King made some bad choices and bore the consequences. So the ending here is everyone bore the consequences of their choices.

This drama is one of the two that I was introduced to. I never saw any K Drama before. The other one that I saw…
The one thing that I am not crazy about the show is the part that LYJ and KMS seemed to have sexual intercourse before they were married. The PD/director seemed to underplay this. PMY never took off her clothes. It seemed the drama left it to the audience as to what might have happened. But I wish the show can take a firmer stand on this. As you probably are aware by now if you are still reading this, that I am very concerned about the impact of a show in the culture/society. To me this is more than entertainment. As I am writing this, in the back of my mind are the wives being beaten behind closed doors, and young girls getting pregnant before they get married or even before they finish high school. So I wish the PD/director could embrace the social responsibility of their show more.
This drama is one of the two that I was introduced to. I never saw any K Drama before. The other one that I saw…
The most beautiful part is the transformed relationship of LYJ and KMS. LYJ started out as being very selfish; all he did was only to try keeping KMS beside him. Then gradually bit by bit he learned to put her first, so much to the point that he was willing to let her go so that she could be happy and find herself. This really contradicts to what a lot of people thinks about relationship; a lot of people just want to hold on so tightly to the person that it becomes suffocating. On the other hand, while enough room is given in a relationship, the other party has no need to run away. Instead, KMS realized that she actually wanted to stay with LYJ because she loved him (in response to his love to her). This is a good picture of what a loving relationship should be: no one person is being controlling, selfish nor manipulative but willing to put the other person first at the expense of him/herself. So both parties are totally devoted to each other. In spite of people in the world commonly believe, I don't believe there is any 50-50 relationship that works. Both parties need to be 100% devoted to another party in order for the relationship to be enduring and meaningful. To me, this show is totally counterculture and has a very meaningful and positive message in such a subtle way that people might have taken the lesson without even knowing it. I really appreciate it.
So how did you like the drama overall now that you are done with it?
It sounds like you only enjoy the romcom part and not the drama part of the show. If KSH is like your daughter, then perhaps you would enjoy the BTS, the radio interviews and the after the show interviews of the two leads. What the other people commented was true. It IS like a real life romcom going on. I didn't see any k drama until only a couple of years ago. I am still trying to find out what is going on. I know I love good art for sure; things that give out good positive energy. So you might know more about the background of a lot of things more than I do. However, it does look like to me something significant happened to KSH during the shooting of this drama. It seemed she has drastically changed to be better. It really seemed like this young man JDY has a positive impact on her like no other costars she has ever met. As far as I know about this young man, he is outstanding. It looks like he is emerging as a positive influence to the culture as someone who is funny, down to earth, caring, smart, courageous and SQUEAKY CLEAN. I don't believe in 'shipping' anyone, nor telling people who they should go with because they 'look good' together. Real life long lasting relationships involve so much more than 'looking good' together. Yet I sure hope and pray that these two young people will make good choices and be happy. I can already see that together they can make such powerful influence to the culture and the people all over.
This drama is one of the two that I was introduced to. I never saw any K Drama before. The other one that I saw was quickly forgotten. WWWSK is the one that I was fascinated by. First of all, I was amazed by the acting of Park Seo Joon (and oh yes, Park Min Young too of course.). The second thing I was attracted to was the plot. I never knew anything about K Drama cliche, so the cliche part did not turn me off. The drama can basically be summed up in one sentence: how a man learns to love a girl and be considerate to her. This is huge because I understand how it contradicts the Asian cultures, especially the Korean, and probably to all the cultures around the world. LYJ never claims to be perfect but he was humble enough to learn and tried very hard each step of the way. So the audience would not feel that they were being talked down to.
I am extremely disappointed with the ending. I feel like whatever they have build up throughout the drama collapsed at the end. I don't like the way they seem to depict smart intelligent women like to take short cuts and prefer being in a promiscuous relationship with a man. In fact, I feel very insulted because I am a modern woman as well. It is not the fault of the actors. Overall they did a wonderful job. All those things about honor and doing what is right just went down the drain!
It doesn't mean you don't like it, others will have same feelings as yours.. Do understand that.. Well most people…
OK I respect your feeling about it. By the way I didn't change any topic. For me, I will try very hard NOT to watch any drama that shows that evil is good or good is evil. To me, moral value is very important in entertainment.
