I would like to ask the writer to please not let any good guys die especially any of the main leads. Also, please help the FL realize that being ML's wife is actually more challenging than being a historian. It requires someone intelligent and strong like she is. It is not being a naive noble lady, nor being a piece of flower as she imagined. So far the writing has been good. Everything is making sense. I am just voicing my wishes just to be sure :)
If you notice, the writer is laying a lot of lines to get the ‘bombs’ ready to explode. In the past two episodes, we learn the FL is not the sister of her brother. The younger version of her is standing right next to a man (sleeping on the desk) who might be the teacher of Mo’hwa. So FL’s father was probably murdered. On the other hand, the King and the Second Council were very concerned that the ML was hiding the brother of the French physician who died without a proper burial. So it looked like ML’s father probably was also murdered. The murder of the fathers of FL and ML may be related. It looks like the King and Second Council are trying to get ML married, then they may release him outside the palace…who knows, they might send someone to kill ML while the guards outside the palace may not be as many…So the plot seem quiet, but a lot of explosive things may be happening very soon. Of course, the ML and the FL would not comply to their orders…Let us see how these bombs are to be ignited.
May I know how the rating of 8.3 came about? I am totally impressed with this drama overall. Where did the 1.7…
I love everything about this drama. It is like a piece of very fine art to me. I am most impressed with the writing though. I wonder how someone can come up with beautiful ideas like that. Who is the writer of this drama? He/she definitely deserves an award.
I think the character of Prince Yi Rim deserves to be with the FL. I am surprised that no one points that out.…
In this last episode, Prince Yi Rim showed himself to be a very Manly Man again (Just as Serena82 described). Even though he is gentle and considerate, he is not a wimp nor a coward! I can see why the FL adores him.
Have to praise this drama for consistently integrating modern-day issues into a sageuk because humanity has been…
Since vaccine issue is mentioned for the second time here, I would like to clarify that the anti-vaccine movement is actually against the corruption of the government agencies, the pharmaceutical companies and the science communities for giving unsafe and ineffective vaccines to the people.
I think the character of Prince Yi Rim deserves to be with the FL. I am surprised that no one points that out. First of all, he is very sensitive and attentive to her needs. He is concerned when her stomach ache, when she is hungry, when she needs clerical support etc. It was so precious that he let her cry but protect her honor by not watching her. It is hard to find a guy who can verify someone's feeling like that. Second, he is a very smart and perceptive young man, probably beyond his years. Just look at how confident the CP was after he consulted Prince Yi Rim. CP was able to clarify how he wanted to execute the Second Counselman's request, and look at how ML came up with the very smart question for the exam. During the mission he asked the doctor very intelligent and crucial questions too. He was not a yes man to FL. He did not say yes just because she said something. In fact he said 'no' to her at the beginning. He evaluated the situation and made up his own mind. Thirdly, he shares some very core values with the FL. a. They were both courageous and wanted to know the truth. That was how they ended up exploring the truth by going to the most infected area together. They did not know the other party would show up to get the horse(s) for the journey. 2. Both of them put the people's need first before formality. To him, he even volunteer to have the procedure done to himself first so to serve as an example. It is a sharp comparison to Officer Min who rebuked FL and told her to 'know her place' , to be quiet and only write things down even though so many people were dying. I can see why FL felt safe to be with Prince Yi Rim and even ended up lying right next to him without realizing it. To sum it up, I think he is a very loving man, not only to FL but people in general. Even though he may be inexperienced in dealing with the outside world due to years of confinement, in time, he can grow to be a very dynamic, charismatic and wise leader/governor. I totally can see why the FL falls for him. Being handsome is merely the icing on top. Again, I applaud the way the writer craft the character(s). Excellent job!
I love this drama. So far everything is so well written. The acting, costumes, settings ...even the dialogues are so very beautiful! I will really appreciate that no good guy will die at the end. I think Prince Yi Rim really deserves to be with the Female Lead Goo Hae Ryung. I want to list my reasons. I guess I have to do it in another comment with the spoiler sign up. I love the acting of everyone. The supportive casts are very impressive. I love the way the FL acted very formal toward the prince when he showed his affection to her initially (even though she was very moved by him already). Her eyes kind of gave it away though (softening). Then more and more she showed her emotions, to the point that tears fell. As for the ML, I applaud how much he has improved from the last drama I saw him. Now that I know how young and smart he is, I am hoping he will go back to school to further his study like the other actors who debuted early (e.g. Park Min Young got her degree in acting, or Lee Sheung Gi got his degrees in finance.) I think it can help him enhance the acting skill (so to have a longer lasting and more versatile career etc), or he can know better how to manage his wealth later. I just hope he does not give up the opportunity to learn now to prepare himself for whatever else is coming.
