JiuHuo is plotting a vicious comeback and the 'Black Fox' is very persistent in her manipulations. I don't think she has any real emotions for JiuHuo. She just wants an entry into the world to carry out her previous plans

They have experienced several flavours of life together in this short span of time. Though their bond is resolute and inseparable, this is just foreshadowing the colossal tragedy that's going to fall upon them.

WQHY's personality has been forged out of pain, revenge and blood debts. He had to become what he is today, in order to survive and maintain the balance. But all his ruthless decisions have been forced upon him and not by choice.

HuiaZhu understands this and since she's found herself resonating with him, she's ready to share her beloved's heavy responsibilities, even though it goes against her wish of living a carefree, detached life, away from turmoil.

And obviously that last scene where WQHY gathers the petals of the 'Flower' for HuiaZhu shows us how, even in the midst of a turbulent world, WQHY will always make HuiaZhu his top priority.... 😍😍😍😍😍

Yep... absolutely. I want more of Leon Zhang in Xianxia dramas as the Male Lead... 😍😍

Oh My God!!! I think WQHY floored us all with the snow-white tresses and those serpent -green eyes. 🥰🥰

And I think, most of us have already fallen for Leon Zhang's easy smiles and tender eyes... 😄🤩

Btw, episodes 21 and 22 have a very proportional mix of intrigue, romance and comedy.

I love how cute WQHY looks with his goofy grin when his 'Huiazhu' is praising him. Their courtship period is equal parts mischievous, cute, romantic and endearing. Such a 'Green-Flag' couple... 😍😍

Healthy takeaways from them is trust, loyalty and that deep affection which stems from mutual respect and understanding. They're basically on the same page in life. Know yourself best and then choose a partner, it's going to be the most appropriate choice.

I love the concern they have for each other and the momentary terror in WQHY's eyes for the spiritual fire flowing inside DFHZ, laced with darkness. But she trusts WQHY's inner strength. So, instead of hiding facts , they're slowly opening up to each other.

And another very well-written scene is the hurt and love in DFHZ's eyes when she meets WQHY in the desert. The way she runs to him makes me wish to freeze that moment forever. I'm loving the chemistry between the leads 😍😍

Yeah! That's refreshing for a change. And also This drama is written differently. Both the leads are doing a fabulous job but I hope they give us a HE or at least in the 2nd installment WQHY & DFHZ get to be together 🤞🤞
This installment is going to be a massive tearjerker (I hope I'm proved wrong though 🫣🙏)

This show deserves more ratings than the present one.
Wangquan Hong Ye is the Best brother and boyfriend/husband material.

The show treats Wangquan Hong Ye (WQHY) and Dongfang HuaiZhu (DFHZ) as mature characters because they are the foundation of the entire universe that branches out to new ones.(Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Sword and Beloved)
Hence,
The romance is painfully slow, with large batches of amnesia, angst, and loads of suffering (yeah, we'll get that in heaps, I think.)

So, WQHY is the scion of the leading Sect of the Yiqi Alliance. He's already shouldering a hefty mantle and its always lonely at the top.

DFHZ is prodigiously gifted, yet maintains a low profile because she believes in balance and leading a quite life, governed by principles.

This is a story of how the burden of responsibility and quiet detachment react when faced with world- shattering consequences.

I think Leon Zhang and Lu Shi Shi are both amazing actors and have palpable chemistry 😍(his quiet smiles and her serene ones. Very subtle because they're both the eldest ones and heads of their families so they have to be like that. )

They will go through hell because somehow my CDrama sense goes on red alert whenever the leads Leon Zhang and Lu Shi Shi have any tender scene together. (Please drama Gods, give us a HE which is different from the book 🙏🙏)

As for the other actors' guest appearances, I think this show has handled them really well. It's so great to see immersive stories of side characters.

And yes, waiting for Ding Yuxi and Meng Ziyi cuz' I'm really looking forward to their story 🤩 (I hope someone casts them both as leads in a show 🤞)

(P.S. Drama Gods, you better not let Wangquan Zui and Yang Yi Tan suffer too much or else I'm gonna launch a full-scale mutiny 🗡️⚔️😡😡😁)

Wow! Those old laws were really something 🙄 Thank God, we're lucky to be existing in an age where the laws are much, much better. 😄

And yay! DYX is back. 😍 That's my favorite CP (DYX + LXN)
DYX is witty, calculative, and when pushed to the deep end, likes to behave like a martyr but at least he has his reasons.
1) He wants to actually be responsible for his loved ones.
2) He absolutely does not want to repeat his father's mistake.
3) He genuinely wants to repay his step-mother and mother-in-law.

LXN is stoic, stubborn, placid and almost cold yet
1) Her tragic past and the traumatic experiences post it.
2) The harsh days that she's been forced to live

All of these made her unable to reciprocate her emotions freely.

This romance has a lot of layers and draws realistic parallels. And so I resonate the most with it. Plus, for a story to be relatable, it needs to have many twists and plot points to be able to make us wait for the next episode in anticipation. I wish that DYX+LXN can now enter the second stage of their relationship.

4th CP - HD + SHZ
The thing that I find most refreshing about them is that HD decided to be honest to SHZ from the beginning of his accident.
And SHZ is now slowly getting used to her liveliness , kindness and compassion.

Right. Amicable roommate 😂😂 I like that one. So many incidents can happen that can bring those two closer if they pursue that plotline alone...

But I don't want him to feel the need to apologise. That doesn't justify the natural behaviour of this character.

DYX has to feel some kind of a genuine emotion for LXN in order to apologise to her.

LXN said herself that she's given up on worldly love. She knows DXY's character. She nursed him back then without thinking of anything in return. She knows that the Du family got the short end of the stick in that marriage.

She's shown as mature and worldly-wise. So, why is she taking offence now when she doesn't even have any relationship with him? This goes against her projected character profile.

I meant before their marriage. LXY was the eldest sister overseeing everything. She should've just talked to him instead.

And yeah, even I'm hoping for a more rounded character development for both.

Be it miscommunication, angst, despair or understanding, I hope they give the audience enough time to absorb and process the emotions the characters are going through.

I'd hate them both to behave like paper cutouts....

She expecting herself to be treated as a true wife without having developed any camaraderie.

He being blown away by her beauty in one second and slapped back to reality immediately after listening to a stranger.

I mean seriously ???😂😭

Episode 11: The show promotes itself as a light-hearted comedy types, but I'd like to see a little bit more depth added to its characters.

Liu Xie Ning (LXN) - She's portrayed as a sombre, mature woman who had to grow up very fast due to her family's conditions.

So, when the marriage between her and Du Yang Xi (DYX) happened, she should've known what the blowback was going to be.

She was the first to point it out to her sisters how DYX would react if they decieved him, during the marriage negotiations with Kang Ning. And she's intelligent enough to have analysed DYX accurately.

Then, the modifications to the same marriage was discussed with DYX's mother and he wasn't even consulted. Anyone who is treated like DYX, would have a similar response. He couldn't openly disregard his mother's decision but if LXN had an honest conversation with him, it would've helped.

And now, in the name of conflict, they're introducing another character who may or may not be telling the truth.

DYX - He's introduced to us as a talented, proud scholar who's finally getting his dreams realised.

But they made him do a 360 so fast that it gave me whiplash.

He suppressed his annoyance at having to consent to a marriage in order to show gratitude. Plus, he's had to compromise again with the bride.

So, I wish they could show his displeasure for a few more episodes, coupled with the new character who is definitely going to kick up a storm.


I'm hoping to see more layers in these characters, in the future episodes. 🤞

Yeah. Kang Ning is the Beta female type. She has an intelligent mind but is willing to shoulder the responsibility of her large family, at any personal cost. She's a nurturer. Chai An is gonna get loads of lessons in humility, sensitivity and empathy towards others before she becomes his partner. 😄😄

Yeah! This will be super interesting. Give the lead couples a lot of conflicting ideologies.

This is a slice-of-life Drama. And, I'm looking forward to seeing this family navigate their life in Imperial China. 😊👌
