Guys, I just rewatched the previews for ep 30 and 31. In ep 31 preview, if you listen to the conversation Wei Shao and his entourage had with Bi Zhi. It seems like Da Qiao didn't even mention the fact that Xiao Qiao came to ask for help to her husband. He seemed oblivious about the whole situation. Am I the only one seeing this?
the one at disadvantage here is not wei shao. the only one at disadvantage is manman because WHAT IF he does one…
"Trust his benevolence"????? Really? You're saying that about a man? If not that we've seen how good and kind a person Wei Shao actually is. We can believe that he can be benevolent. What if he wasn't a good man deep down? You expect Xiao Qiao to place the fate of her family and their State in the hands of a man she barely knows.
Let's just imagine that Wei Shao actually did attack Yanzhou, we the viewers would condemn her for letting "love" cloud her judgement. I remember some comments about her being too naive for giving up Panyi's seal in the first few episodes.
I've not seen ep 29 yet, but I've been reading comments on twitter πππ Someone said Wei Liang should be sent to guard the border and not be allowed to marry Xiaotao because he interrupted the consumation night π€£π€£π€£π€£
So ML does turn into a jealous dick over a holiday gift. I'm guessing after he burned the painting and slapped…
Hmmmmm, I think the cold war might not last long. We've seen from previous eps that this drama doesn't drag misunderstandings for long. Besides, we don't have much eps left, no need to waste time on this argument. We need to get a move on.
Me too. That line about "treating people like ants because he was born like an ant" hit me in my feels.π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ
None at all. I get that she hasn't had an easy life, but why try to destroy someone else's happiness because you're not happy. She's just power hungry.
I love how they go to bed fully clothed with all the head pieces on. Never fails, in every costume drama.
This is not true for prisoner of beauty. They always take the head pieces off. The only time they didn't take it off is in today's episode and that's because she was drunk.
I don't know if you read the novel. But on reading your comment, I started to think back to how the villains were…
There are definitely some parts I wish they did better. They've substituted the R-rated parts in the novel with comedy and household scenes. I don't mind the comedy, but they dwell too long on it. The household scenes are to let us see the married life of a couple in historical dramas, that's okay too. But this is a 36 ep drama, we have just 13 eps left, I don't want it to be a rushed ending.

Oh I'm sure Liu Yan has wanted to kill them a long time ago, he just finally snapped in today's ep which we are able to see on screen. And I understand that how it happened is jarring. I am able to rationalise it because I read the novel, not thinking about those who didn't do so.
Okay I'm clearly in the minority here but this drama is taking me to my wit's end. In the beginning, the storyline…
I don't know if you read the novel. But on reading your comment, I started to think back to how the villains were dispsosed of. It was mostly quick in the novel as well, apart from the ones they went to war with. What happened to Liangyas's ruler also happened in the novel, but it was another character. Even the last biggest villains [Liu Yan and Lady Yulou] who tried to escape were caught quickly enough and killed. The death of FL's uncle in the novel was quite pathetic as well. So, they're not completely off the mark, lol.
I am on ep 17. I like a smart FL but it was disappointing when she didn't try to get control of the horse or jump…
I think that would have been out of character for her. She has not been presented as someone athletic from the very beginning, for her to just suddenly develop that attribute would probably be jarring.
I already knew WY was going to complete the painting with XQ's face, but I was still screaming "NO NO NO, don't do it." at my screen. π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ Trouble is coming.
Exactly. She has let her fear get the better of her.
It's quite sad.
